Similar to the Greystone Mercantile, Cat’s Paw also also basically operates in Netherworld, as it is owned by a Shadow who typically likes to be in Shadowcat form. Although the name of the subsidiary is ominous, it has managed to garner quite a reputation since it was founded. Like the parent company, they don’t really care about the laws, though they don’t really deal with strictly speaking illegal things.

They visit landfills, from where they collect and buy rubbish that is worthless to others. These are being refurbished, redesigned, and are now being sold in good quality, almost new. It also acts as a kind of antique shop, not to mention the ever-evolving flea market where you can buy and sell, although the barter trade works better and Cat’s Paw also prefers this better.

In addition, they deal with the acquisition and invention of new and unique objects, relics, living things (plants and animals). They like to invent and create creative and new things. It is important for them to be able to delight others with their products. Many times, they leave small gifts behind for their customers or for those who are sad. Of course in secret, so they also preserve the mystical atmosphere that surrounds the Greystone Mercantile.

The founding of the Cat’s Paw is nowhere near as mystical and mysterious as that of its parent company. Dis had quite a few bad experiences among the organics, but it always loved it when the organics or others were having a good time around it. When the Shadowcat talked to Kal , the idea came to its mind that it should be working on publishing a book or something else that it can help or entertain others with.

After talking to a few other Shadow companions who worked at Greystone, the idea for Cat’s Paw came up. In the beginning, Dis started the company alone, but since it alone couldn’t be there everywhere and didn’t have much experience, it asked for the help of a few other Shadowcats who were happy to join Dis. Some were familiar with planning, others were much more proficient in the Force than Dis, but their goals were common and they wanted to do something like that.

In addition to Dis, ten other Shadowcats work for the company. Dis is the leader, but they discuss everything together, work together and everyone deals with what they have the most experience with. In this way, the small company was able to develop the company quickly and gain a reputation. As the funds were acquired and implemented, they were able to reach the point of finally making and implementing their own products, rather than just remodeling or restoring old ones.
