SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Aspect of Hunger: A side effect of Gnox's unending hunger, everything that is killed by this flail finds its soul consumed by it, devoured by the hungering runeblade. The unique nature of the blister trap allows the wielder of the blade to access the knowledge of the deceased (OOC Note: In a PvP setting this can only be done with the express consent of all parties involved).
  • Soul Bound: The flail is inexorably bound to its owner who is the only one capable of utilizing its devastating power. The aforementioned owner has the ability of both calling and dismissing the blade, seeing through it, and knowing its location at all times.
  • Independent Heads: Each head of the flail can be manipulated with ease by it's true owner, acting often more like living snakes than a simple weapon.
  • Laced with Poison: A malevolent addition to the flail is a thin layer of the gemstone known as Devaronian Blood Poison applied to one head of the weapon. While not inhibiting the cutting ability of the mullinine the effect of this exotic gemstone is deadly. Due to the poison just by touching the blade to one's skin causes unendurable pain. If the spiked head breaks the skin not only would this blinding pain last until the wound was healed, but the effect of the crippling torment would amplify threefold as the opportunity presented itself for the jewels toxin to enter the bloodstream.

The second head is infused with the essence of Senflax, a potent neurotoxin known to cause paralysis. The poison itself does not affect internal organs, but it does make utilization of the force incredibly difficult, and leaves the body often frozen. The tips of this head's spikes are constantly dripping with the foul yellow toxin. By breaking the skin the liquid will enter the bloodstream and paralyze the victim within moments. It does not last too long, only a couple minutes, but that's often long enough for Gnox to feed.

The third head creates a poison that can drive the afflicted mad with hunger. A thick, black liquid drips from it's spikes, full of the very same hunger both the flail and it's master feel at all times. Like the other two poisons, once the the spikes break skin it floods into the bloodstream and takes effect in mere moments.
WEAKNESSES
  • Heavy: A byproduct of the alchemization process has made this monstrous blade incredibly heavy. The blade is so heavy that it's entirely unusable for most humanoids, while those who were equipped find themselves needing the power of the force to use.
  • Madness: The blade is imbued with its own twisted, malefic sentience that constantly pulls on the mind of the wielder. It actively thirsts for blood, hungers for souls to add to its collection. A wielder of the weapon constantly guards against its whispers, and in battle, prolonged exposure to gore has the potential to drive the wielder into a bloodthirsty rage.
  • Beacon: A byproduct of the blade's immense darkness is that under no circumstances can the blade be hidden, it can always be felt by those sensitive to the force as an abomination of the dark side, an affront to reality itself.
DESCRIPTION
Long before the plague warped the galaxy Gnox ruled as a monstrous, cannibalistic warlord. Through dark rituals thought to be magic he had this flail made, unknowing that it was Sith Alchemy that had forged it into being. Through it he changed, growing stronger, more monstrous and cruel with each kill. And likewise, the weapon changed, becoming more and more like it's owner. They both hungered for flesh, but where Gnox could sate this hunger, the weapon could not. It desired more and more, driving the warlord into feeding frenzies that eventually had those he ruled turn on him.

He and 'The Butcher' were sealed, to be left in starvation for the rest of their unnatural lives. Hunger warped the Shistavanen, who's power with the Dark Side left him unable to perish. The more he suffered and starved, the longer he would live, turning into an endless cycle for centuries. And his weapon, which never left his side, warped further and further. When he was unintentionally freed they feasted, devouring all in sight until sentience returned to Gnox. Now they feed each other, refusing to feel starvation and yet always hungry. Always seeking the next meal.
