    • There weren't many planets that were completely devoid of life. After the plague even destroyed worlds were brought back, so for a world that should sustain life this was an oddity no Jedi should or could ignore. It was why the young padawan was here with her master. Just a small archaeological crew was dispatched to this world with them there to help keep the archaeologists from danger. But as they entered atmosphere she could already feel something was wrong.

      "Master?"

"I feel it to. Keep calm. I sense no life on the surface, so the only threat is our emotions. Remember your training."

She nodded once. It was only a couple minutes before they touched down onto the surface and the ramp lowered. The air was thick, heavy, and practically laced with the Dark Side in a way that made sense for why there was no life. Did they really need to find the source of this? By how her master and the crew got off the ship in a hurried manner, yes. It was important.

More so to do it quickly.

It should of been a sign of how terrible this world was when she stepped off the ship. That immediate and overwhelming feeling of dread. Then the vision. They all should of told her to run, to convince her master to leave. But she stayed silent. This was, at one point, a battleground. It came in flashes, each step shifting her between the now and the past.

Only a couple of flashes and she was completely seeing the past. Large almost canine like beings fought each other, ripping and tearing with claw, fang, and blade. The vision blurred as she continued to walk, each of these beings faceless and forgotten by time. All but one. A larger being, almost eight feet in height, who not just tore apart his adversaries but devoured them. The vision jumped forward to the aftermath. This being was.. Feasting. On all the dead. Allies and enemies alike.

Then she was among the crew again. The lush, if blood stained, landscape replaced by the barren world she had arrived on. A cold sweat ran down her spine as she hurried after her master. Whatever this was, she didn't know how to bring it up.

    • The Dark weighed heavily on the young padawan's mind. The further inland they went, the heavier the air itself felt. There was something familiar about this land, and it made her sick to her core that she felt this way. It had to be the visions. She was seeing through the eyes of this.. Monster. The flashes would come and go, much briefer this time around. Battles being fought, villages being burned. The dead being consumed. The more she saw, the more she realized that this wasn't some mindless cannibalism.

Whomever or whatever this beast was, it was intelligent. It was conducting rituals, one after another. It was growing stronger, bigger. Another longer vision hit her once they neared a set of ruins. Once more she was fully in the past, staring around the once again lush landscape. More dead bodies littered the ground, but not from the brutal ways she'd seen them killed. Clean cuts, blaster holes. A foreign group had arrived and laid waste to the savages.

      All but one.

Ahead was the same large beast she'd been watching, coated in blood both it's own and from others. Ahead of it, the foreign. Pale, human looking individuals. They spoke among themselves as they watched the beast lumber forward. As she got closer, the voices got clearer. As did the numerous wounds on the beast's body.

".. There's no way this should be alive. What manner of monstrosity is it?"

"Does it matter? Just remove it's head or something, that should be enough."

In the blink of an eye the pale being was standing before the padawan, blade flashing. The beast fell, head rolling off to the side. The Jedi herself was so startled she fell back, afraid that this pale being could see her. He couldn't, of course, as this was just a vision. And soon the vision began to fade. The man returned back to his fellow, chuckling about how at least one could put up resistance.

But before the vision cut out they, and the padawan herself, watched in horror as the headless beast stood, the head slowly regrowing.

Reality returned in a rush of heavy, barren air. She was still sitting as her master crouched beside her, worry clear in his eyes.

"Are you alright?" She nodded dumbly, even if it was untrue.

      "I saw.. Something. Something terrible."

"Tell me everything you saw, young one."
