  • Organization Name: Outer Reaches Sub-Sector
  • Classification: Geographic Organization, Political Entity
  • Affiliation: Bryn'adul
  • Organization Symbol:

  • Description: The Outer Reaches Sub-Sector is a loosely aligned organization overseen by the Bryn'adul to help catalog and govern the allied races of its Covenant. Given the specific and isolated nature of the three planets part of the Sub-Sector away from the rest of Bryn'adul space, a separate governing structure was determined to be necessary. The Sub-Sector oversees the needs of all three allied species worlds, as well as organizing its defenses and and distributing the species military might across the rest of Bryn'adul space as needed. The Sub-Sector also serves as the primary political entity for all three races within the Bryn'adul, and takes their requests and concerns directly to the Warlord Osam Osam when needed.

  • Headquarters: Caerdar
  • Domain: The Outer Reaches Sub-Sector lays claim to the worlds of Thruk, Caerdar and Traedaris. The Sub-Sector is not itself a wholly separate entity, and instead is merely a subcomponent of the greater Bryn'adul state. It holds sway only over the three allied species planets, the star systems they reside in, and the other stellar bodies therein. They recognize the greater authority of the Bryn'adul in their space, and only maintain a political presence inside their borders. There is room for growth should the Sub-Sector wage war to expand its borders outside Bryn'adul space.
  • Notable Assets:
    • Super Constructs: Each planet in the Outer Reaches Sub-Sector, as full Bryn'adul member worlds, has on its surface at least one Super-Construct. These facilities serve as the primary seats of government on each planet, and Sub-Sector outposts and governmental buildings are located at the heart of each Super-Construct.
    • 'Mdanam Akra: As the current representative of the Vaydralen people, and as the technical capital of the Sub-Sector is located on Caerdar, the home of Thova 'Mdanam is often seen as the capital of the entire Outer Reaches Sub-Sector. The large bastion is capable of hosting hundreds of delegates from the various worlds of the Sub-Sector, and often serves as the location of Sub-Sector gatherings when votes are required.
    • Thun'tal: Thun'tal is the largest and most prominent city on Thruk, and serves as the capital of the world in the greater Bryn'adul nation. While not as heavily developed or populated as similar cities on other worlds, Thun'tal has boasted a rapid growth that has no slowed since its original construction, and stands posed to outpace many other capital cities on more heavily populated cities in sheer size.

  • Hierarchy: The Outer Reaches Sub-Sector follows the greater Bryn'adul state without question, and follows all regulations and instructions passed down to it. Beyond that, it operates in a largely confederated status, with each of the three colonized worlds holding equal sway in political matters. The three worlds work together on an as needed basis to ensure that they all are able to prosper, and vote on matters of collective interest. The Sub-Sector oversees the border disputes between the various planets, trade disputes, and greater economic and political interests of the species. Each world selects individuals from their population, usually military figure with ties both to their homeworld and the Bryn'adul as a whole, to serve as their representatives.
  • Membership: Any individual of the Vaydralen, Thrum'dral or Ungulloi race born on their respective homeworlds are automatically part of the Outer Reaches Sub-Sector.
  • Climate: From the inside, one would find it hard to even know the Outer Reaches Sub-Sector existed. The individuals on Caerdar, Thruk and Traedaris go about their lives every day with hardly ever seeing the actions or contributions of the Sub-Sector in action. The Sub-Sector works with a largely hands off approach to the daily lives of its members, focusing its efforts on the larger administrative aspects. Only during times of crisis or military mustering's will individuals see the hand of the Sub-Sector in action, often only as advisors.
  • Reputation: The Outer Reaches Sub-Sector is viewed with a wary eye by the rest of the Bryn'adul nation. While every citizen within the Sub-Sector has shown nothing but loyalty to the Bryn'adul cause, the fact the Sub-Sector is made up entirely of alien races with only partial Bryn'adul populations leads them to be distrusted. Outside Bryn'adul space, the Sub-Sector is not even recognized as an entity, as few people spend the time to dive deep into the inner workings of the nation.
  • Curios: As the Outer Reaches Sub-Sector spans several planets each with their own species with wildly different cultures, there is no single unifying object that all have. The closest thing to such a symbol would be the crest of the Sub-Sector, the stylized four pointed icon chosen from Vaydralen legends. This image can be seen on the various buildings owned directly by the Sub-Sector government across its space, as well as be seen on the armor of the warriors who depart their homeworlds.
  • Rules: The Sub-Sector follows all the same rules as the greater Bryn'adul nation.
  • Goals: The Outer Reaches Sub-Sector seeks to ensure the prosperity and continued growth of its constitute worlds within the greater Bryn'adul nation. While seen as valued allies, no one can forget that for the past decade the Bryn'adul had waged a war of extermination against all alien life. To this end, the Sub-Sector wishes to ensure that the allied races within its borders will be able to thrive and continue to grow, as well as serve as the go between for the Bryn'adul and the allied races, rather than forcing them to integrate all at once into a nation that a decade ago would have put their worlds to the sword.
    • One of the primary goals of the Sub-Sector is to oversee the transition of the allied species economies from their previous state to the Bryn'adul standard. Money holds little value to the Bryn'adul as a whole, so the Sub-Sector works to aid in the transition from the basic economies the allied races had before joining. They oversee the work quotas each planet has to the Bryn'adul nation, exporting the resources required of them without strip mining their worlds while slowly weaning the workers and people off their usual systems of barter.

The Outer Reaches Sub-Sector was created three months ago following a joint meeting between leaders of the Vaydralen and Ungulloi people. Dynamically different from one another, the two species both had a common background, outsiders looking in to the larger Bryn'adul nation. Several weeks of discussion eventually led to the foundation of the Outer Reaches Sub-Sector, at the time a duel partnership between the worlds of Caerdar and Traedaris. Overseen by the Warlord Osam, the Sub-Sector was slowly given more authority, a test by the Warlord to see what those under his banner could accomplish should they have the freedom of choice. They were limited choices, but it was still progress beyond anything the Bryn'adul had done before.

When Thruk was discovered, and the Thrum'dral people joined the Bryn'adul Covenant, talks immediately began due to the worlds proximity to the Outer Reaches Sub-Sector member worlds. Talks were complicated and torturously slow, but after months of negotiations and the final permission from their Warlord, Thruk was added to the Outer Reaches Sub-Sector. The dual partnership became a tetrarchy, and the Sub-Sector has since worked together to solidify the place of the allied species inside the Bryn'adul nation.
