Kamino: a world of ever-shifting water. The ocean that covered the planet’s surface was home to a menagerie of truly unique flora and aquatic fauna, and on this morning, it played host to the second round of the Confederacy’s Blood Games tournament.

Unfortunately for the inhabitants of Kamino’s lush ocean habitats, there were many valuable resources to be found in the layer of silt and sand that formed the planet’s ocean floor. One such resource facilitated the need for a massive mining platform to have been built in what was seemingly the middle of nowhere; though on a planet whose surface was entirely water, was there really anywhere that wasn’t nowhere?

The platform itself was raised high about the crashing surf of the ocean below, the neglected rig standing atop rushed columns that thrust from the water like goliath fingers to hold aloft the equally shabby-looking platform. The centre of the platform had been outfitted with a shiny new durasteel surface that appeared to be laid over the top of whatever shambles remained beneath it. The brilliant star shining above glinted off the metal surface to dazzle in a way that matched perfectly the way it reflected off the surface of the water.

Surrounding the platform, bobbing in the waves like massive toys, were several large cruise type vessels - the decks of these ships filled with cheering spectators, all huddled close to the railings to gain a better view of the action to come. From speakers perched atop the highest points of each ship came a voice that rang clear across the distance to reach the competitors that stood atop the make-shift arena, “Welcome, one and all, to the second round of the Blood Games! Below we have our combatants: [member="Kiso"], [member="Nixia Amabilia"], and [member="Khonsu Amon"]. They will battle against not only one another but the elements of Kamino, and some surprises that we’ve got planned as well!”

A round of uproarious applause filled the crisp ocean air with a near deafening roar. “LET THE GAMES, BEGIN!”

Rules:

So, a three way... many ways someone could take that, but in this sense it was a small battle royal between three fighters, each competing to be the champion in this blood games, one that had been rather boring for her. First match her opponent was not even present, in the end the cyborg was force to fight against waves of bugs to entertain the crowd, hopefully this time she could face some competent combatants, been a while since stepping into a ring and having fisticuffs with some unique people.

As with last time, her part machine body was donned in simple but versatile blast armor, a vibro saber in her other had and slapped upon her back. Sometimes in life the simple things work best, and with no force powers and equipment allowed it would make for a fair fighting field, in theory at least. For the time being she would once again wait, arms cross as her figure made it's way into the center of the arena, bionic eye scanning the other entrances to the fighting pit, awaiting the other two individuals looking to make name or have fun.

One she kind of knew, Khonsu, leader of the golden company, carrying just as much brawn as brain, a formidable, but not unbeatable opponent, she was honesty looking forward to see if the man lived up to reputation. On that other hand, this Nixia, her name was a mystery to Kiso, an unknown factor, something that could either make for a fun fight or a frustrating one. In the end she was just had to do this fight the good old fashion way, trial by fire, that was if the two competitors were actually coming out of their hiding holes.

The burden of leading the Golden Company didn’t fall upon Khonsu’s shoulders. He was nothing more than a high-ranking officer within the organization. However, for those that knew little about the Sun Guard’s hierarchy, it was easy to get confused about where the man was situated within the organization. Still, the Thyrsian relished the benefits that such a station offered him; such as having command of an entire flotilla of advanced warships that could rival an armada from almost every stellar nation that populated the known universe. It was within the bounds of that collection of starships that the Thychani Commander found himself aboard his flagship; ritually stripping himself of his bloodied battle armour. The Mercenary didn’t relish his victory over the Mandalorian youth, as it wasn’t a battle worthy of glory or mention. It happened and the result was decided. There was nothing more that could be said in that regard.

However, the scars that were burned into his armoured environment suite would forever be a reminder. Well, until his arming slaves reknit the artificial flesh and worked several layers of synthetic polish onto its surface.

When the ebon-hewn battle-glove was removed, Khonsu was fitted with his warplate’s undersuit. As the mute and blinded slaves adorned the man’s frame with the formed aureate panels, the Thyrsian was neurally connected with his power suit. He felt the all too familiar rush of ice rushing through his mind as he was bonded to the droid brain integrated within the suit. It began as nothing more than a blank slate when the suit was manufactured, but slowly developed into an artificial predator who worked in tandem with the operator. The malevolent intelligence was built to thrive upon violence, and on the rain-swept platforms of Kamino; the construct, as well as the operator, would get it in spades.

Now, clad in his wargear proper and standing atop a platform raised high above the rolling oceans of Kamino, the Thyrsian awaited the sound that would start the bout. As time began to drag onwards, Khonsu’s dark eyes began drinking in the details of his opponents. There wasn’t much that could be seen in the rain. Twinned Force practitioners from either side of the spectrum, doubtlessly armed with lightsabres and all manner of weapons that were concealed beneath the folds of their clothing. It would be an entertaining bout, and the second-layer of flesh that was hidden beneath his armour shivered with predatory excitement. With a smirk peeling across his false-firelight shrouded features, the Sun Guard drew his spear and thumbed the activation panel. The weapon extended to its full length, and the bladed head erupted in a crimson sheath of coruscating plasma.

His spear wasn’t the only weapon to alter from one state to another. The shield, mounted to his gauntlet, burst out from its holding cell and ringed itself in a similar plasma field. He would be more than ready to combat whatever threats may come his way. As the announcer began introducing the fighters to the distant cruisers, bearing the chanting crowds, Khonsu’s eyes began to drift between his two opponents; seeking to choose who he would assault first. When the words were spoken, mere moments later, the twinned tawny orbs shifted towards the formerly nameless Jedi. The choice was made, and she would be his target. Without delay, the Sun Guard advanced towards his newfound foe with his shield raised and the ignited spear pointed at the Atrisian woman. She would do, for now.

After the last fight in this dreaded Blood Games, Nixia began to feel rather equivocal about her participation. This feeling not only covered her but also how she felt about those she had to face. Out of the few people she knew the golden armored man known as [member="Khonsu Amon"] was a able body she had seen once or twice before. the Icarii was younger then and within the ranks of the Sith Empire when she witnessed the man first hand preform in combat. He was skilled and dashing to behold physically, if was a shame his helmet covered his face.

Perhaps it simply needed to be removed by none other than Nixia herself. A charming thought.

As for the other woman on the platform Nixia knew nothing about her. She was all but an anomaly to her knowledge and the best way to learn about such ideals were to experience them first hand. Not much more could be said about it other than that. Standing at her own end of the platform Nixia stuck her head in the air catching rain in her mouth. She felt heavier than last match up, it was becasue she was. Donning trusted her Eclipse armor that covered the entirety of her small frame with protection from out side harm. The suit's lights and LED's were off. Odd. In fact none of the electronic features of her armor seemed to work and there was a specific reason all of Icarii's weapons were not energy based. On her right hip in a holster she tapped a Dissuader KD-30 with purple nails of her left hand. On the her right she holstered a .48 cal enforce pistol on her belt, reluctant to use due to the recoil of such a powerful weapon. In her right hand he held a simple Paragon acidic vibro ax which he used for now as a walking stick or staff of sort. None of the weaponry was the cause of her immediate weight but rather the backpack that was attached to her back through several metal straps and ties. The metal backpack shined dully in the rain and low light of Kamino and appeared to be completely lined with a tainted blue metal despite its slight slender design. It was Ionite lined. Inside it held little ammo for her pistols.

After Nixia watch Khonsu decide to attack the other woman @Kiso. Nixia smirked and began to fast walk around the outside edge the best she could in both their direction. Melee combat was a art she was good at and she looked forward to fighting the victor or even both of them one on one. As the Icarii moved in pace the lights and electronics on the platform in only her immediate area shut off. Careful observation would reveal a 2.4 meter radius all around, though this invisible barrier could not be physically seen despite its effect on environment. Breaking into a sprint the Icarri pointed her sword with a two handed grip at her opponent she had chosen. Khonsu Amon.

As soon as she got with melee range she would attempt to smack the back of his head with the flat of her blade. She doubted it would do much damage to that thick skull but was worth the attempt. Hopefully Kiso would also be in range of the man to see how this would play out.

The stage had been more or less set, each of her opponents ready and armed to the teeth with quite the extravagant weapons and armor, she'd have to take mental note of their abilities, if she lasted long enough to see them in use. A series of plans quickly formulated on her head, that of being defensive and observe, to keep on the back food, not use any of her strong tactics, make herself as unknown as possible to the enemy while learning as much as she could before being taken out. The words of the announcer came to an end, Kiso gripping her blade with both hands taking a firm stance, aiming to be an unmovable object for both parties, waiting to see who would make the first move.

[member="Khonsu Amon"] would be such to move, advancing with a shield and blade in hand, slowly but with confidence, perhaps he thought her small fry and but a nuisance to remove from the field of battle. It was uncertain, Kiso staying still, continuing to wait as the gap between the two closed, almost into striking distance, but before either could make a blow the other fighter seemed eager to capitulate on the duel, coming up behind the Thyrsian for a sneak attack. A short though about possible double teaming the larger opponent came into mind, but once more her strategy of observing came into place, Kiso using her cybernetic legs to propel herself back a few meters, looking to see how things played out between the two.

Khonsu’s eyes narrowed, as he approached the Atrisian woman. She remained stationary save for her dancing gaze, which was shifting between both the Sun Guard himself and the other combatant. While his reasons for choosing her were his own, the Thyrsian was partially wary of her actions. Why did she remain still whilst a hulking, aureate warrior bore down on her? Was it because she had some ace up her sleeve? The man couldn’t tell, nor was he interested in chasing down that errant notion. She made her choice, just as he made his own. It would’ve been pointless to turn away from the path he chose, as it was inevitable that this woman would take advantage of that fact; striking him from behind as soon as he turned his back. So, he kept moving forward -- bridging the gap between them with one gilded, rain-drenched boot after another.

Whilst his attention was focused forward, the virtual construct that was housed within his armour’s systems kept an eye out for the other woman; translating the information into legible data for the Thyrsian to digest from his visor at a glance. From what the suit’s sensors could determine, the lithe woman suddenly burst into action - sprinting in an outward arc that would take her out of the Operator’s field of vision. Such an act doubtlessly telegraphed her intentions of attacking the Sun Guard from behind; where it was believed the man was most vulnerable. While that fact was of little concern, as the Thyrsian had been assailed from multiple angles by multiple opponents before, the fact her movements seemed sluggish gave the integrated intelligence pause.

There were several visible operating lights that ran dark, barely visible to the human eye in the downpour. Not to mention, there was an ambient field of distortion that encapsulated the woman; seemingly negating the operation of electronics within her general vicinity. The fact that several of the waspish HoloCams avoided swooping in close to her ever-shifting position further reinforced the speculative notion. Whatever equipment she bore - something on her person was coated with the very rare and valuable material known as Ionite. Due to the indeterminate properties of the metallic substance, it rendered almost every electrical device within its proximity null and void; sapping the instrument of its power.

However, it seemed that whatever was done to drastically enhance the substances special properties extended that field far beyond the naturally-occurring range. The artificial construct found itself bewildered in the attempt to determine what exactly could’ve caused such an anomaly, but did it’s best to surmise it’s findings and condense them into an easily assimilated manner.

As soon as that information scrolled across the false-firelight of Khonsu’s visor, the man started to notice that his own movements became sluggish and that the weight of his weapons started to become ever more noticeable. It was minuscule, at first, but slowly began to increase with every step that woman took. He needed to act quickly. The woman before him was shifting her stance, but not in an aggressive manner. From what his well-conditioned instincts determined, that Atrisian woman sought to remove herself from his reach and keep observing the battle; seemingly refusing to take part until an advantageous path presented itself. While he would’ve relished following suite, such an avenue was denied to him; as he didn’t feel like circling his opponents until the bout’s terminus came to pass.

So, with the woman before him seeking to disengage - Khonsu’s only option now was to turn and face his would-be ambusher. As his suit’s systems became all the more difficult to utilize, due to the impossibly projected interference of the enhanced Ionite, the Thyrsian had a general idea of where that woman was - and where her projected path would take her. Should she have been allowed to carry on with her attempted flank, that woman would have been able to hack at his torso, or helmet, from behind with her oversized battle axe. With that eventuality no longer possible, the Sun Guard set himself to the task of countering her thunderous advance. As the Ionite was doubtlessly depriving her armour of power, simply because of its proximity to the source of the interference, there was an expected margin of error when her agility was brought into the equation. She’d likely be partially sluggish to react; as both the weight of the weapon and her momentum would be difficult to alter at a moment’s notice. Those factors alone would work to his benefit.

When the projected field of interference encapsulated the Sun Guard and subsequently began to drain the man’s armour of its energy, Khonsu forced himself into action. Using his momentum, and by throwing shoulder forward, the Thyrsian suddenly dropped a knee towards the rain-swept platform. The weight of his aureate armour slammed down against the duracrete surface, which then acted as an improvised anchor point, allowing the man to follow through and twist his torso to face his would-be ambusher. Through the man’s visor, the Thychani Commander saw that the woman’s oversized battle-axe came down where his head would’ve been. It would’ve caused a ripple of kinetic energy to be transferred through his hydrostatic impact gel and into the fragile humanity that lay beneath, leaving him with a minor concussion.

Instead, the mighty axe soared through the air - and found itself connecting with a portion of the Sun Guard’s gauntlet-mounted bulwark; resulting in a boisterous clang echoing throughout their surroundings. The man grunted and clenched his teeth together in response, as yet another unwelcome burden found itself thrust upon him and rolled down his arm.

As the weapon made contact with Khonsu’s shield, it left the woman’s armoured midriff wide open. He wasn’t sure what her armour was comprised off - but what was about to happen would either skewer her or leave her reeling in agony. Although the plasmatic emitters were silent, no longer producing an additionally lethal edge, the spear clutched betwixt the Sun Guard’s gauntlet surged forth with seemingly sluggish, and martial grace. It’s Beskar-Mullinine edge, forever sharp, sliced through the rain as it sailed towards the dark-skinned woman’s stomach; seeking to bury itself deep in the presented flesh. If the spear struck true, the wound left behind wouldn’t be pretty. Had she not elected to bring an item that was impossibly enhanced with ionite, the spearhead would’ve seared the belly wound shut as it punched home.

As that was not the case, there was a marginal possibility of her bleeding out should the bout push her to her limits. There was also the possibility of her armour safely negating a penetrating blow, but even then, the kinetic transfer of momentum would cause severe bruising of a sort, or be entirely absorbed by a layer of impact gel. If it was the latter? Well, then she would be in for a nasty surprise when he struck again. The curious thing about impact gels - especially those found on the open market - they weren’t able to return to their aqueous state after transforming into a hardened compound. Sure, they safeguarded their bearer’s from the lethality of a kinetic projectile, but they vastly decreased one’s maneuverability in return. Should her armour contain such an inferior layer of gel, her torso movements would be restricted; leaving her even more sluggish than before.

The perfect prey.

Already the Ionite barrier was working. The yellow clad man was feeling his suits own weight immediately. The advantage was hers but only briefly. It was a game of tag you see. A game of deadly tag. The Ionite barrier prevented electronics from functioning within it instantly. Everything in its 2.4 meter reach met the void. [member="Khonsu Amon"] knew this now and despite it bearing down on him, his movement into a counter attack was rather graceful. A testament to his martial prowess and use of his momentum. If it was not for his shield on his arm, Nixia's sword could of made contact and delivered quite a blow. Instead her mid section was exposed after the man blocked and moved his arm up. This caused the Icarii's arms to move in a similar manner.

His strength and endurance surely couldn't last a minute or two longer in his current condition. Could it?

A shocked expression came to her face. Theatrics. There was little she could do to move or so she wanted her attacker to believe. Phrik plating and armorweave was what shielded her body from most sources of damage but the armor was not full proof. Nixia always admired movement over total strength and though in her current situation her movement was impaired her strength and weight was not. The spear tip could of glanced scratching the outer or even rending it apart as she could preform a near dodge.

That is what the Khonsu would want. To be able to move again. Besides such a maneuver as this speed would throw her off balance, she could slip and be at a tactical disadvantage. Any conventional fighter or warrior would of attempted to move. Embracing her biology and the fact that her Ionite barrier would render all the functions of Khonsu's electronics and from the looks, powersuit useless. Servo motors, sensors, the whole nine yards. Every limb and extension would eventually grow tired or seize in place and fall in time. Especially that shield arm, it must be alot of weight for a single unsupported limb. Nixia smirked as her body was shifted forward in the driving spear aimed at her stomach. The Icarii's body was positioned in just the right way to allow the spear to impale her lower abdomen straight through as it ripped through the armorweave and impact gel underneath. Without her added weight and momentum such a strike would of caused lesser damaged. Perhaps only several inches of depth. Immediately her sword dropped from her hands. Her left hand clutching at Khonsu Amons armored wrist with a pulling motion to keep the object steady. There was still strength in her?! Right hand drawing her KD-30 Dissuader from its holster in a sudden movement. Unable to move fast enough to point and aim directly at the man Nixia instead aimed two shots at Khonsu's armpit from her hip level at point blank in an attempt to open up a weak spot with acid slug. Specifically the arm the held his shield raised up.

The pain was well. Existent. She felt all of it in full. The flesh, muscles and tendons tearing apart. It was all real and agonizing from the flush of red on her pale face but this was not lethal. The Icarii species was rather odd. Able to survive complete dismemberment and still live. At her worst Nixia survived almost being cut in two at one point in time and being decapitated in the not so distant past. This was not her mistake being in this position. Oh no. This was her bait and a oversized fly had just fallen for it.

Blowing a kiss from her flushed face she spoke in a whisper. " I just wanted to be closer to you I think. " Her smirk remained as her brow raised casually.

This woman was clearly out of her mind.

With the new distance gained from jumping back revealed some interesting information about both the fighters, information that greatly changed her strategy for this bout. The most notable part being the women's strange energy field surrounding her body. Though naked to the organic eye Kiso's SES and cybernetic had picked up on it from a distance, though only now under stood the full effects of it, readings and cross references with her data base came back with a positive readings of an Ionite barrier, "clever girl".

Such a barrier would render any electronic items void within her immediate area, weapons, devices and power armor, much like what [member="Khonsu Amon"] had equipped. The once tall standing fighter now on their knees struggling with the weight of their armor. It played true to the old saying 'the bigger they are the harder they fall', but were such a device would be a nuisance to other to her it was almost a death sentence, her many cybernetic enhancements and cyborg components would not handle them well. One wrong move and her body would be sprawled across the ground, unable to move, at the mercy of the other fighters, this new developed called for a change in tactics.

Unholstering her assault rile Kiso took aim at the women while her focus was on the Khonsu, it's gattling like barrel spinning around before unleashing a torrent of blaster bolts towards her. Would it cause damage? maybe, but Kiso had quickly analysed her opponents armor, reading coming back with high probability of blaster resistances. At the very least it would serve as a distraction and allow the downed fighter a chance to get back up. Despite better judged Kiso could not allow the fight to become one on one, not against that women, she'd need the other two to wear each other down before being able to properly join in on the fight.
