Gherron was coming along quite well with his alchemy, to the point where he could imbue the force into just about anything. For what he was looking to do now though, he would need a second pair of hands. He had enlisted the help of [member="Tom Taff"] for this, him being also adept in the craft. As he waited for his help to arrive, he stared at the shield he had created. He wasn’t the best at metalworking, but if he were to line up all his creations, this would definitely stand out as his greatest one. It was a shield entirely crafted from phrik, and inlaid into it was a design of two dragons, whose wings made up the outer sides of the shield. His plan was to alchemize it like he had done with his sword, and to imbue it with the power of force light. It was quite a useful ability, and he hoped it would serve him well on the battlefield.

Tom was in the gardens with a few of the Corydoris when Gherron had approached him needing an extra pair of hands for an imbument he was going to do on a new shield. Tom got up dusting his robes off and agreed to assist him leaving the gardens to the tree like force spawn. He still wasn't 100% sure about them but the one thing he would say they certainly bonded with him given his care over the animals and plants in and around the rest. At least that's what they told him when they taught him to summon them at other nexus' should he or others require them.

Arriving where Gherron had wished to meet Tom looked over the shield he had sitting on the table. Tom looked over it with a careful eye knowing the blacksmithing craft quiet well and this was honestly one of the best shield he had seen. "Very well crafted, I am assuming you crafted it given it doesn't have any kind of signature on it to call it someone else's work? Dragons is a nice touch too, also phrik nice and light, so the alchemy should keep it from getting to heavy." He nodded to Gherron. "Alright so ready to being imbuing it?"

Gherron smiled at the man as he approached, and took in a little bit of pride when his craftsmanship was praised. He had made it with symbolism in mind, the two dragons representing himself and his brother Josh. When he was done with it, it would be a shield for the weak as well as a weapon against any darksider. The phrik was also planned, as indeed it would keep the shield light enough to wield in battle without weighing Gherron down. The entire creation thus far had been carefully thought out. "Yep, this is all me", he replied, stating it was his handiwork. "Let's do this, yeah?"

Not wasting a second more, Gherron put his hands on the table, each just a few inches from the shield, waiting for Tom to assume his own meditative state before starting. As soon as they were both ready, he closed his eyes and focused on the metal, channeling his force energy into it like one would pour water into a glass. In the end, he hoped to imbue the shield with enough force light to make it a latent ability in the metal, but the first step was always a connection.

Tom would nod listening to the man as he said lets do this. Tom would begin meditating slowly moving his mind through various forms of combat even as his body stayed still holding onto the shield. He could feel Gherron's force powers above the shield going in but Tom had always found with his items it was easier if you had hands directly on as he placed his hands on the shield feeling it hum with energy as he poured more into it.

Tom could feel what power Gherron was going for adding his own knowledge and ability of force light to Gherron's as they began changing the metal's purpose. Instead of to just be metal tom made it feel like it was bright as a star and as good as Gherron. It wasn't hard to do as he made the connection between both. He was used to imbuing metals with what he needed. After all he was an old hand at it now.
