STRENGTHS
  • Lightsaber Resistant: Made of beskar, and a euk'gar bodysuit, it is pretty hard to get a lightsaber hit in easily to dismember or behead, which bears testament to the rise of Force Users in war.
  • Full-Load: With the combat harness, like most of the more heavily armed Mandalorians, Ijaat is prepared for pretty much whatever may come his way, at least in some small way. Victory, no. But survival, yes.

WEAKNESSES:
  • Conflicting Functions: The camouflage functions or the shield function can only be active one at a time. It takes several seconds to adjust for one to the other
  • Limited Ammunition: The weapons on the armor are not the easiest to reload and some of them are one and done weapons (Missiles, Dart Launcher), while the others are simply difficult to reload, and impossible to do without a respite
  • Heavy Burden: Some might wax philisophical about wearing an ancient relic of his people, but the truth is, at twenty kilograms, this is not a lightweight suit of armor in any imagination stretch.

DESCRIPTION

The Beskar’kandar of Ijaat was taken and scavenged for parts, the metal used to repair and reinforce an ancient set of beskar’gam. After years of dreaming, months of questing, Ijaat had found and recovered the ancient and hallowed gear of Jaster Mereel. Leader of the Mandalorians as Manda’lor and founder of the True Mandalorians as well as writer of The Supercommando Codex.

A find of the century for the aging alor, he vowed to restore it to full fighting capacity and ability, and reached out to all he could to aid in it. The mission to find it was deadly and arduous, calling in the aid of his then student [member="Isley Verd"] and even unexpectedly the aid of [member="Theodred Heavenshield"] and his men, when the Kyr’stad resistance became too much for them to crack on their own thanks to inaccurate scouting and a near fanatical desire by the Death Watch to keep ahold of that which they had no claim or right to.

For the greater part, it was truly just a restoration of paint and a removal of old electronics that had long since rotted out, as well as additions of weapons and systems of war or inventions that Jaster simply did not have access to, like the Bodo Baas Gunbelt or Wardens Cloak from Akure Executive Interstellar. The armor would wind up being not a wholly faithful rendition, needing some adjustment in size here or there, and a few touches like the cape and its’ clasps, the personal motto in the helmet, or even the propulsion system and gunbelt. But it would remain faithful to the spirit of the warrior who had made it’s visage feared in the galaxy to those who had crossed its’ wearer.

The armor features a large number of support systems, enhancing it to extensive levels. As such the armor is capable of serving Ijaat in any number of environments. It is hermetically sealed, and features an Arbiter Combat helmet which has a rebreather, independent air filter, and air supply allowing him to remain operational in almost any environment. It features a climate control system allowing him to function at peak capacity in almost any environment, keeping cool in the desert and warm in the artic.

The boots of the armor may be used as either grav boots, assisting in flight maneuvering while within a planet's gravity well, or allowing Ijaat to hover slightly above the surface he is fighting on. They also assist in the ca’tra jair propulsion system and it’s manoeuvring, helping with thrust on the boot soles.

The soles of the boots are magno-grip, allowing the wearer to lock themselves onto metallic surfaces, which can be incredibly useful in the right situation. It features a digital life support system readout allowing medics to quickly assess an injured individual. Finally the armor has a tactical combat harness with a variety of tools and equipment options, as well as pouches and holsters for weapons.

Overall, it is a faithful and rather simplistic set of armor that was made top of the line as a labor of love. The metal itself is imbued with no particular power of the Force, it has few exotic and rare materials, and truthfully even the weapons load out is fairly standard for someone with his particular set of skills and abilities, with the focus on being faith to the past and honoring a relic of his ancestry rather than his usual habit of throwing every trick in the book in every nook. It still has it's surprises, but nothing so bad as it could be.

The dev threads were a pretty interesting read.

Please add the missing section of the template so I can continue the sub's review:

[member="Zef Halo"] - Done and done. Added in Strengths/Weaknesses just before the description. Noticed a bunch of the subs I used for inspiration didn't have that, so I must have forgotten it then. Thanks for the reminder!
