OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Media Name: The Almera Accord.
  • Format: Holoslate (Original Signed Document) and Various Transcribed Copies.
  • Distribution: Planetary / Star System - The Six Sisters.
  • Length: Medium - Reader’s Comprehension Dependent.
  • Description: The Almera Accord was a military agreement penned by the armed forces of the Echani Compact, that declared the immediate cessation of hostilities against the Thyrsian people and their subsequent disarmament. The terms also dictated that those who followed the heretical faith of Solar worship were to be exiled from the Star Cluster, alongside their Sun Guard kindred. In addition to those aforementioned points, the Thyrsian people were henceforth vassalized by the Echani Compact; forfeiting their sentient rights and forced to endure a cultural re-integration.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Author: The Echani Compact - Radicals operating under the guise of the Echani Command.
  • Publisher: Various Publishers contracted by the Echani Compact, and later the Echani Command.
  • Reception:
    • The Echani Compact: As their combined military might was the ultimate victor of the conflict, the radical Echani Warlords relished the inevitable ratification of the Almera Accord. For, in signing the document, the various Clan Elders that ruled the desert planet of Thyrsus essentially legalized their decade long conflict with the Echani. They removed the possibility of political reprisal and safeguarded themselves from the Echani Command - after their Illegal war began fading into history.
    • The Thyrsian High Council: Though heroically standing against the might of an entire Star Cluster, the Paragons of the Twin Suns were soundly beaten. In the aftermath of the fading hostilities, the Thyrsian people were subjected to legalized slavery and widespread cultural oppression. Those that held true to their beliefs were exiled from the Six Sisters, forced to live out the rest of their days in seclusion - never to see the blinding light of their binary star system ever again.
    • The Echani Command: Originally impassive, when news of warfare with the peoples of Thyrsus broke out - the Scions of Eshan were taken aback at the blatant cruelty and the vile acts of subjugation that their own kin wrought upon the Thyrsians. However, through the twin acts of having Compact-sympathizers on the Ruling Council, and the ratified Accord, their hands were tied and were forced to accept the results of the devastating battle.
FORMAT INFORMATION
  • The Original, signed document was composed atop a crystalline holoslate that bore the hallmarks of an Echani manufactorum, and was chemically engraved with the Sigil of the Echani Command; in lieu of the Compact having no icon to call their own.
  • Copies of the Almera Accord, which were later distributed to the masses that populated the Six Sisters, were transcribed on sheets of flimsiplast; allegedly inked with the sigils and signatures of all parties involved.

  • Overview: Echani Compact Victory;
    • Battle of the Angran Belt: The Six Year war began as Echani warships spilled into the Angran Belt - seeking to stake their claim on the sovereign system of Thyrsus. However, they were met by the combined might of the Thrysian armed forces and endured nearly two years of gruelling naval warfare to secure a foothold in the sector.
    • Inner-System Thrusts: With a foothold established on the edges of the system, the regrouped and reinforced Echani forces began spearheading deeper into the system - only to be harried by what remained of the Thyrsian Navy before reaching the planet proper, nearly seven months later.
    • Blockade of Dogon: Though the Thyrsian Navy was scattered to the solar winds, those ships that remained within optimal parametres returned to their homeworld’s moon of Dogon - only to find that it was Blockaded by the combined forces of the Echani Compact. Within a matter of weeks, the Thyrsian Navy was utterly destroyed.
    • Siege of Nicaea: As they established an unparalleled command over the Planet’s atmosphere, the Echani Compact began laying siege to the Capital City of Thyrsus - seeking to break the Thyrsian people and their military's morale. For three years, the Echani laid waste to the planet and made little progress - until a majority of the Clan Elders were assassinated; forcing the Thyrsian people to concede to the invading Echani.
    • Pacification and Occupation of Thyrsus: Though a majority of the Planet was under Echani control, there were dozens of desert-dwelling tribes that refused to allow themselves to submit to their Echani Conquerors. For several months, the Echani were forced to combat an insurgent campaign across the planet before finally raising the banner of victory from the Capital’s parapets.
CONTENT INFORMATION
  • Terms of the Pre-War Ultimatum: (Originally Denied by the Thyrsian Clans.) Thyrsus, and her people, were to submit itself to the authority of the Echani Compact - and by extension the Echani Command and pay reparations for their various skirmishes allegedly fought for their sovereign independence. The barbaric practices that revolved around the worship and idolization of the Twin Suns - including the Solar Cult - were to be outlawed, and punishable by death. The Sun Guard were to be forced into exile - to never see the twin suns of their homeworld again, and die forgotten and alone amongst the stars.
  • Terms of the Accord: Thyrsus, and her people, were to submit themselves to and prostrate themselves the authority of the Echani Compact - and by extension the Echani Command and pay reparations in the form(s) of subservient flesh and natural resources extracted from their homeworld. The Thyrsian treasury would be forcibly compelled to pay for any and all damaged Echani property incurred during the Six Years War. The barbaric practices revolving around the worship and idolization of the Twin Suns were to be outlawed, and punishable by death if convicted without a trial, judge, or jury. The Solar Cult was to be, henceforth, disbanded and the Solar Clergy was to be put to death for their heretical crimes against the Echani people, and their subordinates. The Sun Guard are henceforth to be marshalled and subsequently exiled from the Six Sisters for their crimes against the Echani people, and their subordinates. The Thyrsian Navy is hereby ordered to disarm and be stripped down for parts - or repurposed for military use by the Echani people at their discretion. The Thyrsian Armed Forces are hereby ordered to disarm, return to Thyrsus, and disband; never to rise again to defend their world from external threat(s.) Should any of these terms be found in breach, the populace would be subjected to harsh punishment; and treated as hostile combatants in an active warzone.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Thyrsus had fallen. After six years of gruelling conflict, the homeworld of the desertborn was no longer under their control and was subsequently enslaved by the bloodied, but ultimately victorious Echani. As the Compact began to spread their influence over the broken and defeated people, the Coalition sought to ensure that the supposed menace of Thyrsus would never rise again. Therefore, an accord was composed - where the victors would legalize and justify their war and force their comrades to accept the actions of their radical kin. With the Thyrsian’s left essentially leaderless, due to the Clan Elders being assassinated by Echani sympathizers, there was little choice but to accept that Accord and their unfair terms. The stencilled conditions served the dual purpose of breaking the Desertborn that remained on the surface, and as a warning to those that would inevitably return.

The terms of the Accord remained active throughout the following decades, despite the Echani Compact’s favour with the homeland eventually fading into obscurity. With the Council and their Representatives ultimately replaced by a Stellar Monarchy - the Accord was grandfathered into the new system of government due to the lack of presence in the public’s eye. Even to this day, after the many conflicts regarding the rights of Eshan’s royal succession, the myriad conditions of the Almera Accords were still present on Thyrsus. The practices of Thyrsian Enslavement, however, were filtered out of Eshan’s media - leaving many confused and enraged when the Starbound Thyrsians sought to falsely accuse, and label them for their radical Echani Compact kin. Such accusations were considered hysterical propaganda, and through the Compact’s censorship of all transmissions broadcasted from Thyrsus - none beneath Eshan’s moon could fathom the dark truth transpiring within the boundaries of that binary star system.

Thus, for over a century, the Compact has relished and revelled in the spoils of their ratified warfare. However, fate is a fickle mistress, and the tides of destiny are ever-shifting.
