The lights of Tartarus drown out the void of space. Thousands of ships – aligned, enemy, unknown – dot the coils of the ringworld. Smaller still, like ants, these vessels spill forth those brave, or greedy, or crazy enough to have come here.

Destroy? Understand?

All who arrive here follow a different purpose. Some wish to stymie the flow of these attacks. Others, perhaps, have darker motives. Whether you’re abreast with a brother in arms or a total stranger, the only mind you can trust here is your own.

Dead stone and bone may yet draw breath.

she had arrived on the planet undetected, she was deep in the rishi maze, she had direction from @incursion. She was willing to help them, as long as they did not threaten the sith empire. She got off her ship, and it her cloaked it again. She smiled beneath her mask, as she began to cloak herself in the force. She imagined herself jumping into water, and as she got deeper she began to disappear herself. She was no fool she knew her cloak was not foolproof, especially with her lightsaber giving of it's own force signature. She stuck to shadows, and moved slowly down the corridors, waiting for Jedi to kill. She would not overtly harm a member of the empire, but as far as she was concerned, Jedi the biggest hypocrites in the galaxy where fair game. She planned to get to core of the Incursion defense quickly, then help where she could. She moved as quickly as she could, without risking anyone seeing her.

[BBZ-20]

Equipment: BBZ-20-B-CA
Destination: Technology Town.
Objective: Obtain technology for the grand scheme, kill off competition if necessary.

BBZ dropped down from a small hijacked leisure ship that landed nearby, a sneaky vessel amongst all the warships that were due to be around. It was a very very bad idea to be here without a personal army yet but the droid was a greedy one without fear. It was time then, to initiate the plan.

Stage one: Set up a defensive position in a small building, or similar. Easy enough, there just so happened to be one right near the landing point, easy to roll into.

Stage two: Keep a lookout. The retrieval of interesting technologies would come after the heat of battle had cooled down, it would be unwise to dive straight in, who knew how many lightsabers would be swinging out there.

 

[Causstik Rahn]

Causstik Rahn paced through the halls of the station. He had vowed to work with the indomitable machines in exchange for technology, credits, and most importantly a worthy foe. So, as the borders began to trickle in in an attempt to destroy what the Incursion had worked towards Causstik went to service.

“One hundred!” The head of a Galactic alliance Commando was caved in by a great meaty fist.

“Two hundred!” Causstik disemboweled another commando’s stomach with his phrik claws.

“Three hundred, you guys are going to make me rich!” Causstik shouts as he began hacking away at the Sergeant’s chest.

As he finishes the leader of the commandos he looks up to find the hall covered in blood. The bodies left behind by Causstik’s slaughter are hideously disfigured, with limbs scattered everywhere, and organs hanging out of their chest cavities. It made Causstik… Hungry. His tongue flicked the air tasting for the scent of more intruders.

“Oh, what a day,” He began as he tasted another “What a glorious day!” Causstik shouted as he raised his sawed off Scattergun. He was going to blow them to bits, peel the skin off their backs and wear it around like a cape. But first, the Trandoshan bent low to peel an ear off the Sergeant and add it to a string that rounded his neck. The Scorekeeper would bless him with many Jagannath points...

For the weeks that had passed them by, Veiere had struggled to reorganize the Commenor Systems Alliance's defense preparing for the promised threat of the Iron Contingency and their Knights who had come to Commenor and drawn first blood; their words given were those of warning and self proclaimed dominance over all living things in the Galaxy. By some righteous calling from what Veiere had listened to and see there within their capital on the doorstep to the very Order that stood to defend Commenor from such threats, they had taken it upon themselves to restore the balance that sentient kind had thrown into disarray. To some extent, they were not wrong. Governments slung war upon one another, biased and distanced by views of indifference and cultural beliefs that clashed, some others simply wishing to see the galaxy burn...

As King of Commenor, his time had been spent with his wife [member="Lady Kay"] and the world leaders under the care of the Systems Alliance to strengthen their sectors, better guard their territories and patrol their borders for knowledge of this coming darkness. As a Jedi Master and member of the Jedi Council for which was now based upon the world of Deneba, he had brought life back into the enclave and reform to the embodiment of the old ways seeking to work with those of the Galactic Alliance and the Silver Jedi Order; Jedi from all backgrounds ready and willing to stand firm against the shadow that loomed across the Galaxy. The Dark side had grown powerful and balance had been thrown out of place, never before had Veiere known such a time in his life where the Jedi Order was needed so much as it was today. Not only was this Contingency the cause for concern but the reborn Sith Empire following in the footsteps of the One Sith had emerged to lay claim to territories across the north. The First Order had been seen with his own eyes, to be laying siege to their very same targets and worlds for which they sought to topple leaving Veiere's home, his family in peril for what part in the battles that had taken place, he had had a hand in.

Now here upon the mechanical monstrosity that was Tartarus, Veiere walked down the landing ramp of the Pheonix with Terrac following down behind him to stop mid way. The Pilot and friend of both his and Kay's had forever been loyal, he was a good man though one who'd not be following Veiere into this fight. Like Cillian before him, this was Veiere's second pilot and one he wished not to lose to the tides of war. "You sure you want to go in there?" Terrac called down the short distance between them, shaking his head uncertainly, "It doesn't like very welcoming...".

"All paths have led me to this place my old friend" Veiere glanced back over his shoulder, lifting his head with a half nod and a wary smile as if to seek to reassure the man, "You just worry about the ship and comm' me if you run into any problems..." he lifted a hand in farewell before delving deeper into the foreign world. Everything around him was made of some sort of metal construct, technology that felt out of place even amidst their day and age of sentient creations, this was not a world made for the living and as he moved forward, Veiere found himself following down a path shrouded in the weight of worry, concern and anxiety flooding the back of his mind though he could not be so certain that it was his, the Force seeming to pool to him with whispers of danger, a coming threat that perhaps he had come unprepared for.

Plenty of folks were here for noble reasons. Aver wasn’t one of them.

These days she rarely meddled in galactic affairs unless someone was paying her an arm and a leg for it. Her private business was booming. She was happily… essentially-married. Got plenty of cardio, picked the job she loved, living the dream.

So why the kark was she poking her nose into a station likely to blow at any time?

Greed, of course.

Whoever these people were, they were packing some sweet heat, and the merc wanted to get her hands on the tech. For science. And reverse engineering. And then production, illegal sales and distribution, ???, and profit.

Her landing was swift, and her pilot all too eager to hightail it back out. Some other time, Aver might’ve paused to take in the sight – and what a sight it was! – but she was ever the pragmatic woman. If anything remained of the station after the dust settled, she’d sit her ass down, light a cigarra, and enjoy the fantastic vista.

Until then, her hands were full of blade and gun, her eyes open, and her smile wide.

Aboard the ring around the planetary construct Mach had been searching for the data core. Or the central data storage center for the layman. The contents of which would likely be beyond value. Collecting physical tech would be great too. One man could only carry so much though. This system was too hot to bring in a large force without having to bog down fighting instead of looting. So whatever he took physically wouldn't be much. Data though, he could get all of it he hoped.

Mach peeked around the corner of a corridor. There hadn't been too many enemies paroling the halls. Bloody endless between rooms of machinery and miles long gaps in the interior. Navigating this place would be a pain in the ass for anyone without map scans or a guide. Mach saw nothing and continued on pushing towards the section of the ring he'd seen from the outside he'd dubbed The Receiver. During his flight in he say the beam of energy traveling from the planetary constructs core to it. Easy to piece together this was likely a superweapon of sorts. The thought crossed his mind that maybe instead of just looting the station he should be blowing it up. Darn moral conflicts.

 

[Darlyn Excron]

• Equipment: Everything in signature plus "Death Special", Punisher Pistol, Hussar Pistol, HC Mallet Charric Hand Cannon, and seven six thermal detonators.

Being sober was far less fun than being drunk, and Darlyn was getting to know that far too well these past few days. In preparation for his departure to peruse a personal goal, that being commander Ruby's death, destruction of his property, or just annoying the man to the best of his ability, he had been spending his days sober to remove any influences his rapid consumption of alcohol had on his abilities. The hangover was long gone, thankfully, but the pounding headache did nothing for his mood. Still, King [member="Veiere Arenais"] hadn't explicitly ordered him to stay home alone, so it wasn't technically breaking the rules to head out on his own. Not to mention his notice...

The man pulled his Desperado armor's helm on, clicking it into place before grabbing his hat. He was already on approach, and was quite prepared for what he planned on doing. Could he hope to take the Contingency on all by himself? No, but he could probably take a few, if he tried hard enough. His MS-10 was loudly broadcasting its signature, intentionally, as he brought it down not too far from where the Commenori Phoenix was. He doubted they'd care enough about one starship to send forces to secure it, but he wanted Ruby to know retribution was coming. From him or not, it mattered little.

The former bounty hunter began strapping in his ever growing arsenal of pistols, the DL-18 at his right leg, the charric hand cannon and Hussar pistols strapped at his waist by a cheap but effective harness, the Punisher pistol strapped to his left leg, his custom "Death Special" strapped in against the small of his back, and his Drifter shotgun slung over his back. Add in the six thermal detonators on his harness and his two lightsabers, he was sure he could raise plenty of damage for these kind gentlemen, in return for all they did to his people. He plucked his hat up and placed it on his head, grabbing a last detonator as he leaped out of the cockpit, his feet landing with a resounding thud before he began to calmly juggle the small explosive device.

No kill like overkill eh? Darlyn hummed to himself as he walked into the metal jungle of Tartarus, stinking of darkness (and the hint of booze still lingering against his skin) as he looked for the first thing to destroy. Glancing around the corner of what he could only describe as a building, he caught sight of something that appeared vaguely important. Was it? Was it not? Either way he primed the extra thermal detonator and tossed it over to it. The explosive would detonate, destroying or damaging whatever he saw as he wandered off, drawing his beloved DL-18 as someone would get the memo. He was here, and he meant business.

Honor, glory, greed - Ananta knew she was here for one of the three, but she could not quite decide which was more suitable an answer. She carried no honor with her, but she was carrying the banner of the Sith Empire on her shoulders by being present under the guise of a Sith lord, she couldn't care less for glory but yearned the satisfaction of spreading notoriety for her participation in this gambit, and greed was certainly a motive but she wasn't certain what it was that she desired. In reality, however, none of those ideals truly mattered - as long as she was on the side of victory then she couldn't care less what the rest of the galaxy thought of her, or what her actions were - and she suspected that many of those present were of the same line of thought. Sith, Jedi - it didn't matter what or who they were when they were on Tartaros, she would kill or align herself with anyone if it was necessary for her survival or the opportunity struck.

She arrived on the ring world nearly alone, ferried by a pilot that found himself impaled on the burning red of her lightsaber before she abandoned the small craft in search of others. It was laughable that, even among the Sith of the modern era, so many claimed to have some semblance of a moral compass, a code of honor or ethics at the very least, and fought tooth and nail to preserve some kind of infantile ideology - such as the notion that a Sith must be allied with other Sith for merely representing the same entity and code. Even the armor that she wore was won through treachery and deception, taken from the ashen corpse that was nothing more than the dust on the side of the mountains on Bastion now.

And even if this Contingency was to perish, were she to throw her lot in with them, the Sith lord would not leave a station filled to the brim with valuables and technology as advanced as this empty handed.

The shuttle vibrated as it dropped through the atmosphere. Tapping long fingers against the cave resting upon his thoughts he waited with patience born from experience. The shuttle lurched and the whine of landing gear extending caused him to rise, left have reaching up and gripping the netting looking the hold walls. The ramp lowered even as the shuttle skimmed along the rocky terrain. The speakers blared, "Go go go!" As the several other First Order operatives ran and leapt from the ramp, the man wearing the navy blue, three piece suit calmly strode to the edge and leaped to the debris littered ground. The wash from the repulsors if the rising ship rustled his hair.

As the shuttle streaked through the air the man turned and watched the First Order unit move out to follow their plan of attack. Lightly smoothing the front of his jacket, erasing the wrinkles, he began walking. His cane tapped along the stone ground as eyes hidden behind dark shades scanned the horizon. Firefights ranged all around a blood staining the carpet of the planet in vivid ruby.

Moving through leisurely he watched several more ships drop from the sky to deposit their previous living cargo to the war torn world. Moving to a higher level of ground good eyes watched several individuals moving from their rides. One of the figures drew both his eyes and attention as the man marched through the battle ground.

But it wasn't just the physical presence of the man and the recognition of his identity that drew the man in, but the force presence radiating from the being of light. A small twitch at the corners of his lips revealed his amusement at the target of convenience. He had never met the King before, and had no personal feelings one way or the other. However Nemesis felt his feet following the man, the cane keeping rhythm with a slight tap upon the ground.

He'd spent the flight lazily playing datapad games while streaming re-runs of Darths and Droids: The Animated Series on iHolo.

Boo didn't really know a whole lot of what was going on, but apparently Central Command believed this place might have something to do with the crazy attack that had happened on Alexandria.

Maybe that was true. Maybe it wasn't. Whatever nerf herder had come up with that idea however, now it was Boo's job to figure out which was the truth. And still, somehow, if it turned out that this place had nothing to do with Alexandria, he figured that would be his fault...

The Equinox had delivered the boy to the strange ringworld. The blue skinned youngling had the snub-nosed blaster pistol in hand, ghosting along the walls of one hallway in search of a data terminal or station where he could hopefully just do a smash-and-grab on some memory cards and then bug out.

Around the child's small frame, a strange creature intertwined and coiled about the boy's body. The serpentine biot had scales that were a dull black, with a luster like obsidian. The dragon-like head of the amphistaff rested on his left shoulder, it's length twisted his torso and it's tail wrapped down his right leg.

Whatever this was for -- glory for the First Order, glory to Slager Ren, glory to [member="Kyrel Ren"]'s sweaty gym socks -- the Pantoran had a bad feeling about this place.

The kind of bad feeling that usually came with at least one Sith Lord and at least a handful of the crazy.

He just wanted to grab a gift for the Ghost of Christmas Past and then get the kark up out of here!

Gear: Armor, Pistol, GS Grenade, DKS Slugs, Rifle, Multiple Datapads(2), Phrik Blade & Knife, Scramble Key, Lancer computer spike, Eavesdrop Protection Unit, Charric pistol.

The attack on Far Harbor had made Malen aware of the advanced technologies the Collective had, especially when it came to non-force sensitives. Having been one of the few that witnessed first hand the potent capabilities of such a powerful group, he knew that many people in the galaxy would want to weaponize the tech for their own purposes. It was a race for who would be the first people to do it, and he intended to be among them.

The trip to the Rishi Maze had been more or less exhausting. Remembering the experience he had in regards to the attempt on compromising his datapad, Malen had come more prepared than before, carrying multiple durable datapads, in addition to other tech that he had brought with him. He had also made sure to make new programs in case he might need it.

Seeing thousands of ship enter a ring toward Tarturus a loud him to sense so many force sensitives in the ships, many of them trained. It certainly looked like this was going to be a difficult experience.

She was standing in the back of the vessel, holding a cargo strap. It was normally unheard of for a Padawan to accompany a Grandmaster on a trip such as this. But all others it seems, had been engaged on other fronts. Whether preserving life or seeking answers in their own way.

She had her chin tucked to her chest. Karren had been on the receiving end of many beatings, battles and scuffles by now. The wound from the Skyjacking incident still smarted and she could feel where the flesh on her left forearm was still trying to mend itself. She kept it covered with bandage. She still had a scar on her cheek, where she'd taken a shattergun round. At least a few other injuries internal as well.

But it was not these she focused on. These were weaknesses to remain hidden. she was initiated now, whether other could feel it or not. Her powers had grown, and so had her delving into the dark. She attempted to soothe herself, keeping her bag of emotions in check. She had no doubt if she slipped here and lapsed over the edge, she risked expulsion from the Order at worst.

She looked up, peering through the viewport with her jaw tight. Darkness shrouded the ring as vessels came and went. There were so many forces at play. She wondered whether she was ready, whether she was worthy. Would this be the encounters that tipped her over the brink? Or would it be another test the light threw at her to reassure her worthiness.

Either was she waited with a stern gaze and a tight jaw, fingering the hilt of her saber with her other hand....

She wandering around carefully, and then she saw a Jedi. She smiled whilst cloaked, he was going to be her first catch of the day. As she did she watched him, stalked his movements as best she could. She always kept to the shadows, so any light would not give away her postion. She did wanted to get when his back was turned, so their no way he could see her coming. Though this would take time, as no doubt he had sensed her lightsaber, it aura of its own and a dark sided one at that. She took each step slowly, which also was a problem, as it meant he was quicker than her. As she stalked him she started weighing up her potential victim, it was old jedi style rob, possibly even skywalker era. She was unaware it had used Voduun Crab as part of it, but was safe to say it was lightsaber resistant. Though was it resistant to her blade was another question, as it could burn through beskar and phrik. On his hand he had a wedding ring, proving he was just another hypocrite, as jedi who marry most felt emotion and empathy with their partner. As if you did care about them, why bother in first place, proving their is no emotion a complete lie. He seemed to have two sabers, it mean the be fighting with two blades, she decide it was better that after striking and then adopted shien pose, and let him attack her. As if he was not killed in first attack, using two blades meant he liked to be on the offensive. This would be another thing Jedi are not meant to do. Though as she knew all Jedi are hypocrites, and he was no different. She waited for her time to strike......

He hadn't realized [member="Darlyn Excron"] had been in the area until the explosive charge that went off and echoed across the far plane alerted him to the direction of suggested violence, his vision obstructed by great pillars of mechanical demeanor, this labyrinthine world a headache to traverse, yet his connection to the force allowed his will to expand around him, his mind reaching out to probe for answers that he could not visibly see. The man was the Minister of Justice for Commenor and his wife's former guard; it was regrettable that he'd come at all as [member="Lady Kay"] would no doubt be left to lesser men for protection. Darlyn was a gifted combatant though lacking the discipline that Veiere had needed to see for the two to truly bond, the gap between them held however for the mans service and many feats taken for the Systems Alliance, Veiere struggling to know him personally beyond what behaviors he wore on his sleeve, yet respecting him none the less as beyond his somewhat chaotic mannerism, he was a good man in heart.

He had not moved far from the Pheonix when he turned to look back over his shoulder, pausing a moment and expecting to see the younger Jedi Padawan who had stowed away aboard his ship. Initially he hadn't noticed, the vessel was quite large and catered for two star-fighters within, his wife had gone the distance in the vessels design for whatever needs he might have in service and transit across the galaxy, yet with Terrac having piloted the old girl, he had eventually caught on to her presence and only now did he think to play on it. With Darlyn now in the back of his mind, he sought to reach out to [member="Karren Trask"] speaking to her telepathically.

'You might as well come with me if you're that determined to be here. Better that than wandering alone'​

Yet it seemed he had already piqued the interest of another, she of whom he had not caught on to himself. The Sith, as most are, was presumptuous to compare him to those others she might have crossed out there; today the Jedi were divided in their indifference to one another and his code was not the black and white code known to that of the ancient Republic but that of understanding, temperance and discipline that the well known legend of Skywalker had established and encouraged across his rein-visioned Jedi Order. At the end of the day perceptions came down to what the individual wished to believe more so than what generally was however and in waiting for the Jedi Padawan, expecting to uncover the mystery surrounding these Iron Knights of the Contingency, he hadn't expected the Sith to be so bold as to focus on a rivalry that spanned a mellenia when the chance to be here upon Tatarus seemed a once in a life time opportunity.

Tiland stepped lightly off the boarding ramp onto the massive structure, as his staff echoed against the metal. He gave a broad smile to the padawan as she disembarked after Veiere. His own robes swished around him, clumps of mud still clinging to the hem, trailing along the metal as his booted feet followed along.

"Well, Veiere," Tiland said as he leaned on a staff. "I do not believe that I ever expected our friendship to lead us here." One hand stroked along his beard as he reached out with the Force and his mind. The mind of an Anzati hunter, although one dedicated to the light. He felt the presence of a mind not far away. It was strong, powerful, and Dark. "And it's nice to see that we are not alone." He added a quiet emphasis to the last two words.

The aged Jedi looked at the young padawan. She seemed to have to taken a beating lately, but pushed herself on regardless. "I do not believe that we have had the pleasure of meeting. I am Tiland Kortun. Pleased to make your acquaintance." His mustache shifted as he frowned. "A pity that it could not be in better circumstances."

Karren was awoken from her silent considerations by Master Veires silent communication. She managed to crack a strained smile, and glanced up from the view port than over to regard Tiland. She had been completely unaware of his presence and chided herself on the fact. With a bandage wrapped forearm she reached her hand to shake his.

"Karren Trask. Pleasure. Who might you be?"

She could tell he was a healer and monk just by what he carried. A staff, a few healing kits. She herself had a huge buttpack on her belt full of supplies, though she hoped to not need them. She was unsure why they were here, or what they were hoping to accomplish. Already the air swarmed with the darkness and she felt it call out to her.

"Healer?"

Silver hair pulled back from her face, Lina Renning stepped off the surface of the shuttle and looked around warily. Nothing immediately stood out - yet - but these days she had learned to be on her guard, so she was careful all the same. Optimism was a dangerous assumption, and Lina was bad enough in the face of danger as it was.

This mission was intended to be straightforward. In, poke around, find something worth reporting to the Silvers, out.
She was certain it wouldn't be. But a girl could dream.

The air around this place didn't rest right. Lina couldn't have said why - her intuition didn't run so deep. Simply uncertainty. Not unusual, but certainly not pleasant.

A hand curled around the blaster rifle that rested against her leg, searching for confirmation that she was protected against the thick sense of otherness. It was little protection, all things considered (Lina was only marginally a better shot than she was a swordswoman, after all), but it was the most tangible safety she had on her.

It was still there.

Good.

Blue eyes lined with caution scanned the corridors their owner paced down, searching for something noteworthy, searching for the risks in between. Something was nearby (someone? she couldn't tell). Her saving grace was subtlety, and she made certain not to be conspicuous in any way, but there was only so much she could do. She could be spotted easily. Her hope was just that she'd spot anyone first.

Gear: In bio | FD-2 makes Aver feel like a NFU

Couple of specks on her HUD by now, but none of them close enough to worry. This stretch of the massive ringstation was pleasantly devoid of life – organic or otherwise.

The click of her boots was the only noise following her down the corridor as Aver pushed deeper into the facility. Even as the woman looked around, her helmet recorded anything she might’ve missed for later review. After so many years of battle, she was used to viewing her surroundings through a particular lens.

And if something else than another slab of dead metal appeared, Aver’d be sure to greet it warmly – with a blaster to the face.

An explosion or two woke BBZ from her sleep mode... After realizing that the time had gone by with nothing fun happening, the plan to wait in a building away from everyone was abandoned swiftly. The droid rolled down the stairs and out into the cold expanses... There, the droid saw three supposed Jedi being stalked by an unidentified life sign of unknown position.

Making a beep-like sigh, Darth Basketball silently rolled up to the ship of [member="Veiere Arenais"] and hid in a pile of junk with only the top part showing of the devious droid. It would be stupid to try and kill them all so maybe the ship could be sabotaged? Fun idea, but BBZ was after lightsabers, not ships, for part of a secret project.

Not that the idea wouldn't be considered.
