Terrors of Tatooine: Between Sand and Sky

Finally the sled is complete and loaded, the party begins their trek back to their ship. Time is as good as time as any to look for salvage before they do.

(I will need the marching order of the group)

(Are you going to open the crates? And I thought the droid was pulling the sled. Tee doesn't have the strength or the fingers necessary to grip the sled.)

(There are six crates, you can open up to two per post. Between the three of you, you should be able to get your load back to your ship in four posts after you exit the ship.)

Although the crates were marked as weapons, Verz was surprised to discover the first crate contained several containers of Gunjack, equivalent to roughly 12 doses of the spice. The second container held a similar load of spice.

The third crate contained some sort of electronics, the nature of which escapes you at the current time. The fourth is contains well forged identity cards worth a small fortune to the right people. It identifies the persons bearing the card as a citizen of the Republic in good standing. There are enough identity cards and supporting documents for at least 10 people in the crate.

The fifth crate contained sand, which was strange when compared with the other crates, but after a through search it would appear that was all it contained. The last crate contained a data pod. Careful study shows that is of Sith Manufacture, and contains information should you desire to access it. However you will need to plug it into your ship since the emergency supply is not enough to power it up.

His pack full, Verz goes to position so that they could push the sled. The hot desert sun beat down on them as soon as they left the cool shade of the crash, even with the three of them pushing the going was slow. Once they had moved ten feet away from the crash, the ground beneath them suddenly shifted and rumbled.

(Assign each character a number from 1 to 0. The usual drill. I really wish we had a random die roller though)

Verz heard a low, soft, crunching noise steadily building in volume somewhere nearby. Suddenly, in a spray of sand, a gargantuan, serpentine shape bursts forth from the ground in the midst of the group, its tooth filled maw gaping wide. The beast's massive head snaps forward and attacks the sled, slipping the contents on the hot sand.

Tee and the droid stumble to the ground as the cable suddenly goes slack. The thug, cursing as he fumbles for his rifle.

The droid scrambled to its feet and beat a quick retreat to the crashed ship. A smart move as the creature reduced the sled into scrap before sliding beneath the surface again. Tee decided to follow the droid quickly as he was in mood to become a snack at the moment.

Verz aimed at the kryat's nasal cavity, knowing it was the only weak spot the dragon had. He took a deep breath, and time seemed to slow as his adrenaline rushed through his body, took careful aim, and fired three shots.
