- Fast-Tracking Guns (Ion Cannons/Short-range turbolasers): Fast-tracking mounts on these light capital guns allows them to better track and fire upon small craft such as starfighters, tramp freighters, and other small craft.
- LR-375a-Sureshot advanced targetting array with supplementary "Shocklock" ranging lasers: The Sureshot improves the general accuracy of the Terriki's weapon and helps better burn through sensor jamming and other forms of ECM warfare. It is aided in this task by Shocklock ranging lasers, whose optical targeting principles are not affected by simple broad-spectrum jamming techniques used by many sensor jammers.
STRENGTHS
- Heavy Hitter: The Terrik has a hefty amount of firepower packed into its frame, with some officers describing it as an oversized Corellian Gunship. Unlike its progenitor, the Terrik is probably more effective against other capital ships thanks to its oversized heavy turbolasers, though its fast-tracking turbolasers, ion cannons, linked railguns and quad lasers can still make short work of many starfighter squadrons. Advanced fire control systems means that these weapons can be accurate at long-range and better engage targets through ECM rich environments.
- Fast: As with many classic Corellian designs, the Terrik has oversized engines which can propel the Terrik to faster than average speeds for a ship its size, making it an ideal raiding craft, especially against slow commercial shipping.
- What Fighters?: The Terrik does not have a hangar bay of any sort to carry starfighters or support craft. Instead, it relies on basic docking ports to exchange goods and personnel between itself and other vessels for basic logistical purposes.
- Poor Maneuverability: Engine systems on the Terrik were designed primarily for speed, with maneuverability being a lower priority since most of the ship's weapons are turreted. This can limit its ability to bring its most powerful weapon system, the HX.6 batteries into play, especially against smaller vessels.
The Terrik-series Attack Frigate is CorelliSpace's version of a much older CEC design commonly referred to as the "Corellian Heavy Gunship". In its latest guise, the ship retains a focus on heavy firepower and high speed, continuing its Corellian legacy and making it an excellent raider. CorelliSpace's latest version of the design substantially updates its weapons and enhances its fire control abilities. The inclusion of spinal-mounted HX.6 Turbolasers provides the Terrik with unusually long-range, potent firepower for a vessel of its size, but its supporting batteries almost litter the hull, allowing the Terrik to attack vessels from almost any fire arc.
