- Assault / Patrol Craft: Though ill-equipped for dedicated ship-to-ship warfare, the Terminus is the perfect vessel for monitoring spacelanes and engaging raiders and brigands. It has significant forward thrust to initiate combat with enemy ships, and enough weapons to make short work of the typical dregs that harry Imperial shipping lanes.
- Maneuverability: The Terminus made move forward at a decent pace, but it's slow to turn or make complicated maneuvers in space.
The territory of the Sith Empire grows with every rotation, new planets submitting to Imperial authority or being conquered by force of arms. With the last of the Resurgent Empire's territory finally folded into the New Empire, many of its ships were seized and repurposed for the Imperial Armada.
The Terminus-class Assault Cruiser was one of them.
Originally a supplement to the Resurgent Harrower-class, the Terminus found a new role as a patrol cruiser on the Empire's multitude of hyperlanes and trade routes. Often escorted by smaller corvettes and frigates, the Terminus soon became the symbol of law and order across Imperial space. Traders and casual spacefarers could travel secure in the knowledge that the Terminus was spearheading the security of the Empire's financial lifeblood.
