STRENGTHS

• Versatility: The Tarantula-Class is an extremely versatile cruiser that functions primarily as an assault craft with the ability to take on an assault walker role.
• Heavy Bulwark: The Tarantula-Class is heavily armored with impervium reinforced durasteel plating and quadanium plating, making it one resilient mother-karker. It can absorb attacks much easier, and has an abundant of frontal protection in head on deployments.

WEAKNESSES

• Weak Shielding: The deflector shields on the Tarantula-Class are poor at best, suffering only the minor blasters of ground combatants and infantry. Anything else would rely on it’s extensive armor plating for defense at the risk of hull integrity.
• Slow moving: Slow in both air and land, the Tarantula-Class is outclassed by much of the galaxy’s many ships of it’s size by speed and maneuverability.

DESCRIPTION

Drawn up by the most unlikely of sources, the marauder Alars Keto came forward to the Warlord Zachariel Steelblood shortly after the skirmish within Goshen War Camp orchestrated by Shi’ido rebels. The design was submitted to Lirka Ka who oversaw technical design specifications alongside Sith sympathizing engineers from the Epoch Engineering Corporation in secret.

The results were horrifying to behold, a cruiser designed and modeled after the Nihil Spider Cruiser of old yet up to date with the devastating firepower of today’s militaries. After testing the first of the new Tarantula-Class on the barren world of Mar’Zambul, mass production began to outfit the MAW armada with an extensive supply of these horrors for the dark crusade to come.

Terrible enough, I love it! The submission itself is underpowered, but the description (strengths and weaknesses) from the slow speed, the low maneuverability, and the "squadron count" shows it that it’s all intentional. So I didn't find any problem. Enjoy your new monstrosity!
