Traps—long dormant and insidious—sprang to life beneath his feet, forcing him into a deadly fall. Xerothan remained composed, observing as her apprentice's ambition led to his demise. Upon returning to the Jedi Council, she reported solemnly that both Talyen and the holocron had been destroyed within the ancient ruins, masking the truth of her calculated choice. The young Mirialan's death became a cautionary tale of ambition, while Xerothan retained the artifact, her own pursuit of knowledge undisturbed.
