  • Classification: Fighter Squadron
  • Description: The lead squadron of the Keros' Kad, and considered one of the fleets elite multirole squadrons, the Talyn Squadron is known for the red paint scheme of their GF-2B Super TwinTails. Lead by the aggressive ace Vaux Gred, the squadron naturally follows suit, being noted as having a precision and aggression rarely seen in the other squadrons of the fleet. As far in inter-squadron relationships, the squadron is more like a family than a military unit, following a trend that happened with this clan's units.

  • Unit Experience: Elite
  • Equipment:
  • Combat Function: Talyc Squadron is an elite multirole squadron, taking on almost any mission in front of them. They're noted to take full advantage ore their fighters' agility and firepower to take on enemy fighters, ground targets, and capital ships.
Strengths:
  • Highly skilled pilots, many of whom are combat veterans.
  • Versatile TwinTails let the squadron handle multiple missions.
Weaknesses:
  • The close bond between the pilots can be used against them.
  • The multirole nature of the squadron can pull them thin at times.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Officially formed after the Hammerfall invasions, Talyc Squadron was formed mostly from veteran pilots who survived he Concord Dawn side of Hammerfall, and meant to be the most elite squadron of Gred Fleet as it moved to being more of a refugee fleet. The squadron would have its first mission at Kintan during the Sith invasion there, but would fully transfer to a more escort focused squadron after this, as the fleet fully transitioned to a refugee fleet.

This transition hasn't stopped Talyc Squadron from getting into combat though. Whether it's slavers, pirates, or Sith convoys, the squadron has continued combat operations, even through this period of hiding.
