Takeover of training

"Did you like that pizza?"

At least that pizza was as good as the stuff served at actual Pizza Hutt locations, like the ones on Nar Shaddaa or Tatooine. Ouch: her apprentice's Force-batteries are running low, and yawning was a symbol to watch out for. She knew that it was not going to be easy, and she remembers her very first formal training session: she used pyro/cryokinesis, Electric Judgment, and her Force-batteries were drained. But hey, at least they got something out of the training that they like. And she knew that good things had to come to an end. The pizza, for instance.

"You have realized by now that the ice cream, the pizza, were both Pizza Hutt stuff. Perhaps you would like a Pizza Hutt location built somewhere on this planet? The Confederates will have their share of delicious Pizza Hutt products"

"What is it that you would love more?"

While Jessica could technically still read Summer's mind, as she used to do, there were times in romance where it was best not to abuse the Force. She knew however, that, with Summer, it could mean anything and everything. Anything ranging from trips in the bedroom, children (in which case donor sperm is key for it to work), kisses and even clothing or jewelry. Plus, she'd rather not think too hard about what it could possibly be. Poor Jessica: she had a lot on her mind, lately, now that Hypori was Confederate property, much like Vulpter, Glyss and Cato Neimoidia were. She more or less accepted that dark-siders were training in Stalgasin Memorial Arena, on Geonosis, but to ensure Force-user balance, light-siders would still need some place to train: among the possibilities were Glyss but between Glyss or Hypori, Hypori presented advantages: it was located much closer to the capital, so that the Confederacy's Jedi leadership could go to the capital much faster if needed.

"A Jedi Temple here on Hypori or on Glyss, or to use a section of the royal palace on Glyss as a Jedi Temple?"

Ah, kissing, a thing lovers do regularly when they are together. Truly, love can make someone rather biased towards their lover: she might have been partial sometimes, but was Summer's love the main reason why Summer asked Jessica to take over her training from Junko? Often the more orthodox Jedi blamed love for some people falling to the dark side (like Anakin Skywalker) but Sith blamed the same in reverse: some Light Sith she knew were redeemed from the dark side with the power of love, even though they still followed the Sith Code. She ended up kissing Summer the best she could; it was the only person she actually had a feel as to how to properly approach kissing her.

"Jedi and Sith have a funky relationship with love. On the one hand, orthodox Jedi blamed love for people falling to the dark side of the Force, on the other, some other Sith began using the light side of the Force with love as a starting point. Even though love relationships were usually perceived among the Sith as being means to an end, some Jedi and Sith did, on occasion, take part in romantic relationships that are more similar to ours than to a convenience relationship that was a favorite of the Sith"

"I sense that you don't have a lightsaber yet. Although I should warn you: for training you should use one of the training lightsabers even though you're about to build your real one. Remember: even though many in light-sided-land see the lightsaber as a Jedi symbol, I believe it instead marks you as a Force-user: the Sith also make use of lightsabers"

And man were so many anywhere in the galaxy that were so mefiant towards Force-users, regardless of their actual merits. True, Jedi haven't been entirely good, and Sith are too often associated with evil, especially since the last Grand General of the One Sith, Darth Centax, glassed a good fraction of Coruscant's Financial District in an attempt to defend Coruscant.

"Lightsaber components can be mass-produced, but there is one thing that makes a lightsaber special: the crystal. It is the connection, in the Force, of the lightsaber to its owner. And the crystals will determine the color of the blade"

"White blade? That would amount to buying a white mephite or pontite crystal. I know it's going to be expensive by lightsaber crystal standards but that is not a problem"

The question being: is there any on Hypori for sale? These things could cost quite a bit. But, since Summer was royalty, and that the Confederacy had to treat its Jedi to the best of its ability, spending a few dozen grand, a hundred grand or two even, on a lightsaber crystal is just fine - until Hyporians could be properly recruited and allocated between Julie, Catria and Jessica for training, that is. Pre-Hypori propping up the upkeep of the entire CIS complement Jedi was only a few hundred thousand credits. Post-Hypori that was going to be a bigger problem: Jedi could potentially cost millions to run, especially if there are many light-sided Hyporians. To Jessica the cost of the crystal would be a chump of spare change, but to normal Jedi that would cost a fortune. Yet she readily accepts that there are very few items more important to a Jedi than its lightsaber, even for someone that doesn't engage in lightsaber combat.
