OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Name: Mithras Skeletal Enhancement Treatment
  • Manufacturer: Spaarti Creations
  • Affiliation: Spaarti Creations, Primo Victorian, Closed-Market
  • Homeworld (optional): Cadomai

  • Production: Limited
  • Modularity: No modularity
  • Legal Status: As of the moment, there are no laws governing this particular enhancement or treatment
  • Ingredients: Modified Iskalloni Mutagen, Bonemer, Laminanium, Synthetic Bone Marrow, Modified Collagen Fibers
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
  • Classification: Biological Enhancement
  • Method of Consumption: Implantation through a singular extensive genetic surgery and biological mutagenic process
  • Average Life: Indefinite
  • Nutritional Value/Allergies/Side Effects/ Purpose: The enhancement does not have any nutritional value, but side effects that occur after surgery, until the subject's body has completely accepted the transformation, include sharp pain within the bones, fever, stiffness in movement. More serious side effects can occur if the subject's body rejects the treatment for some reason and can lead to full structural integrity loss, paralysis, susceptibility to diseases, and death.
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Making use of a modified Iskalloni mutagen to force the subject's body to adapt to the process, the treatment is designed to significantly enhance a subject's skeletal structure through increased durability and healing, while also increasing the subject's height through increasing bone mass and length.
Strengths:
  • Through the use of the mutagen, Spaarti scientists are able to introduce a bonemer and laminanium mixture to existing outer bone structures to significantly increase their durability, decreasing the chances of a break by an extensive amount.
  • If a break does occur, damage can be repaired by placing the broken limb or area under a source of high heat to activate the laminanium in the new bone structure and fuse the break together.
  • Internal bone structure is replaced by modified collagen fibers that also serve as osteons to increase bone tensile strength and protect better against sheer stress and to still allow the body to store necessary minerals such as calcium.
  • To avoid health issues such as a stunted immune system and production of red and white blood cells, and platelets, bone marrow is altered into a synthetic replacement that is based on the subject's own marrow that allows production of necessary cells without being hindered by the modifications done to their bones.
Weaknesses:
  • Due to the modifications done, subject's skeletal structures are slightly heavier and can make movement through water more difficult.
  • If a break does occur, before it can be fused, the subject will likely be in paralyzing pain, and even after fusion happens to repair the damage, they will need several hours and some high-grade painkillers to recuperate.
  • Due to their increased mass and height from the treatment, stealth starts to become rather hard to accomplish as most subjects will gain at least half a meter of height, but likely more than that.
DESCRIPTION

As part of the new Project OPHION, Ce Perlo and the scientists and geneticists of Spaarti Creations had been tasked with developing brand new bio-enhancements, much like their previous work on the Vejovis Enhancement. To split the work, and to make sure not all of the research data was available in one spot for security reasons (besides the Lady of Secrets' access), Ce delegated research and development to other Spaarti locations. The Cadomai facility was tasked with researching skeletal enhancement, and their work culminated in the Mithras Skeletal Enhancement Treatment.

The initial experiments for Mithras were... unpleasant for the subjects to say the least. The scientists had thought to use direct grafts, much like other modification programs have done in the past, but they quickly discovered the downside to that as subject's experienced reduced immune responses to germs and bacteria or suffered horrendous side effects as their bodies fought against the foreign material on the bones. Death was a mercy to the early volunteers and cloned subjects.

However, one of the scientists at the facility struck upon a novel idea to counter such ill effects and achieve incredible results. The Iskalloni species in Wild Space had an adaptive physiology and also made use of a special mutagen to further allow their bodies, and those of their slaves, to adapt to their cybernetics. A modified version of the mutagen could be used to force a subject's body to adapt and accept any of the modifications done to it. Procuring samples of the mutagen in exchange for cloned laborers, Spaarti scientists began working on modifying it to their specifications.

Using the new mutagen, the scientists began introducing a mixture of bonemer and laminanium into the subject's bones, increasing their durability and hardness to unprecedented levels. The introduction of laminanium also allowed damage sustained to the bone to be repaired easily by heating up the afflicted area to fuse the break closed. However, the geneticists at Cadomai also recognized they needed to modify the inner parts of the bone to make doubly sure effects on a subject's immune system were negligible at worst.

Modified synthetic collagen fibers, combined with osteons, were introduced into the bone, replacing the original internal structures of the subject's skeleton while synthetic bone marrow, based on a subject's original, was introduced to continue proper production of blood cells and platelets.

The new process, with help from the mutagen, easily put the new enhancement treatment within acceptable rejection parameters for OPHION and was approved by Ce and Taeli.

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Name: Latona Protective Enhancement
  • Manufacturer: Spaarti Creations
  • Affiliation: Spaarti Creations, Primo Victorian, Closed-Market
  • Homeworld (optional): Cartao

  • Production: Minor-production
  • Modularity: No modularity
  • Legal Status: As of the moment, there are no laws against this particular enhancement and there likely won't be
  • Ingredients: Genetically modified and hardened melanin and melanocytes created with the subject's own genetic material
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
  • Classification: Biological Enhancement
  • Method of Consumption: Implantation through a singular genetic manipulation treatment
  • Average Life: Indefinite
  • Nutritional Value/Allergies/Side Effects/ Purpose: The enhancement does not have any nutritional value, but side effects until the body adapts to the new cells range from rash, itching, temporary hair loss, flushed skin, and increased sensitivity to cold. Eye color will occasionally deepen or change, depending on other pre-existing genetics.
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Through the introduction of modified melanin fibers into melansomes and genetically modified melanocytes to replace the subject's existing melanin producing cells, the treatment alters the subject's epidermis to toughen it against all ionizing and non-ionizing radiations found on the electromagnetic spectrum.
Strengths:
  • The Latona Enhancement is designed to grant the user almost complete immunity to all ionizing and non-ionizing radiation they might be subjected to by significantly enhancing the melanin in their bodies' ability to absorb the harmful radiation and release it as small amounts of harmless heat. Gamma rays, ultraviolet, infrared, all radiations on the spectrum are included.
  • While it is always inadvisable to walk into radioactive environments, subjects treated with the Latona Enhancement can withstand hours of exposure within a highly contaminated area before suffering any effects of radiation poisoning, making it ideal for workers near reactors, power plants, and so on.
Weaknesses:
  • If the subject finds themselves in a hot environment, they will overheat far more easily, leading to the development of heat stroke and other medical conditions such as that.
  • Because the subject is essentially immune to radiation, including UV light, they will require vitamin D supplements or they will develop a severe deficiency and other medical issues.
DESCRIPTION

As Project OPHION continued to develop new enhancements for Spaarti Creations, Ce Perlo tasked some of her scientists studying the effects of radiation on different cloned lifeforms to create something a little more unique and more protective in nature. Ce's thoughts were twofold: to develop something that could grant almost complete immunity to radiation for workers in hazardous environments and soldiers that may end up being attacked with radiation based weaponry. To that end, the researchers at Spaarti developed the Latona Protective Enhancement.

The Latona Enhancement is a genetic treatment that introduces modified melanin and melanocytes, based originally on sample taken from the subject, into the subject's body and replaces all of their pre-existing melanocytes and melanin with the improved cells throughout the entire epidermis. The new cells have had their ability to absorb and release radiation, both ionizing and non-ionizing, into small amounts of harmless heat that their bodies emit naturally significantly advanced to the point where only prolonged exposure in highly concentrated areas will even begin to break through the new genetic shield that is their skin.

The side effects, in comparison to some of their other work in Project OPHION, was relatively minimal and barely made a blip on the treatment's approval by Ce and Taeli Raaf for both commercial and military purposes.

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Cirmuhai - Pandemic
  • Designation: Non-sentient
  • Origins: Amaltanna
  • Average Lifespan: 70 Galactic Standard Years
  • Estimated Population: Rare
  • Description: The Cirmuhai are immense reptavian beasts, pitch black bodies with a thick leathery skin and massive wings, that are designed as a deadly mount and symbol of fear and death for the strongest Sith in the galaxy.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type I and Type II
  • Average Height of Adults: 13 meters
  • Average Length of Adults: 17 meters
  • Skin color: Black to a deep gray
  • Hair color: No hair
  • Distinctions: The most striking physical traits of the Cirmuhai are the massive wings that support its body while they are in flight, large jaws full of sharp teeth, and powerful legs that end in hooked talons useful for gripping their prey while in flight or tearing it apart.
  • Races: No other races
  • Force Sensitivity: Non-Sensitive
Strengths:
  • The Cirmuhai are powerful beasts of the skies, their massive wings allowing them to fly great distances and for extended periods of time without rest.
  • Through the use of Sith Alchemy, the muscles of the beasts have been significantly augmented even beyond the original monster that they are an improvement of. It is not unheard of for the Cirmuhai to carry off bull rancors let alone the average rancor.
  • The hide of Cirmuhai is incredibly tough due to the alchemy used in their creation, capable of taking blaster bolts and slugthrower attacks with ease. Lightsabers can pierce the hide, but it will take a few blows.
  • An insidious carry over from the previous beasts, the Cirmuhai have access to a potent aura of Force Fear. Like a rolling black wave of paralytic horror, the Cirmuhai can emit their aura to keep their prey helpless before them.
  • Seeing an opportunity to enhance the noxious breath of the Kakdjis Zuta, the Cirmuhai can unleash a wave of toxic gas from its maw that is on par with the Trauger Gas that can be found on Socorro. Yellow-green in color, the gas can kill in moments with symptoms ranging nausea, muscle impairment, respiratory failure, blistering skin, and organ failure. If subjected to water, the gas can become a corrosive acid.
  • The Cirmuhai is gifted with powerful jaws filled with sharp alchemized teeth and their talons have equally been treated with alchemy to make them unbreakable and razor-sharp.
  • Because of their strength and powerful wills, only Sith Lords and Ladies can hope to dominate these beasts while lesser dark siders will perish. However, once they do, they gain an immensely loyal beast and mount that will carry them into battle and protect their territory.
Weaknesses:
  • The Cirmuhai's wing membrane, while powerful, are also rather thin. If they are damaged in combat, they will be unable to fly until the tears or wounds in the wings are healed. The membrane of the wings have not been toughened by alchemy as it would have made their density too great for flight without significant other alterations.
  • While their aura of Force Fear is incredibly powerful, trained individuals or those with a powerful will can resist the effects.
  • Likewise, their toxic breath might be a potent weapon, if someone is able to get out of the effected area or a breeze comes through and disrupts the cloud, it can be rather useless.
  • An oddity, and irritation that it carried over for the Lady of Secrets, is the Cirmuhai have a discolored spot on their chests right where their heart is located. While not as thin as on the Kakdjis Zuta, this area is still vulnerable to harm from weaponry and can instantly kill the beast if struck.
  • As with most Sithspawn, direct applications of the Light side of the Force, such as with Force Light, can injure or drive the creature off. One or a few applications won't kill it, but enough light side attacks will cripple it or kill it.
  • The Cirmuhai's eyes are also a weak spot as they are not protected in anyway and their vision can be impeded immensely if they are subjected to a bright light suddenly. This vision impairment will last twice as long as normal for other beings subjected to it.
  • Curiously, if attacked with a carbonite weapon, the Cirmuhai's skin will become extremely brittle that even someone touching it will cause it to split and wound the beast.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Carnivore, it will devour any sort of meat placed before it.
  • Communication: Screeches and shrieks, it can also understand commands given to it in the Sith language or telepathically by the Sith Lord or Lady that dominated it.
  • Technology level: No technology level
  • Religion/Beliefs: No religion or belief system
  • General behavior: The Cirmuhai, even more so than their original progenitor Sithspawn species, were designed to be apex predators. Between their abilities and their sheer strength, the creatures have developed an extremely sadistic and arrogant behavior pattern. It does not fear anything it might encounter, and it takes pleasure in the terror it evokes in its prey, relishing with a primitive joy the pain and suffering it can cause. Like their progenitors, they are extremely territorial and solitary creatures while they are unbonded, staking large tracts of area in the mountains of Amaltanna and guarding it fiercely. However, once they have been dominated by a Sith Lord or Lady of sufficient ability, they become immensely protective of their masters. Utterly loyal, they will obey any command given to them and will ferry their masters to battle with no compunctions or guard their master's lands as jealously as their own territory.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

As the Lady of Secrets continued her work in developing powerful Sithspawn for use by the Sith, she decided to revisit one of her more powerful creations: the Kakdjis Zuta. The beast was already a fearsome monster that was designed to be the personal mounts for Sith Lords and Ladies of the current Sith Empire, but the Lady of Secrets thought there were improvements that could be done on the original beasts.

Relocating the creation to the world of Amaltanna, the planet that played host to her primary research lab in Sith space, from Carnelion IV, Taeli and her alchemists began work on enhancing the Carnelion dragons that were imported to the world for the task. Dark rituals of Sith alchemy were applied to the creatures, warping and twisting their shapes into their new form. They were going to be larger than the original Kakdjis Zuta, their muscles even further enhanced than before. Taeli personally oversaw the alchemization of their flesh, fangs, and talons to ensure their strength and protection from injury and also was the one who gave the creatures their enhanced aura of Force Fear.

Between her alchemists and some of the scientists that served Taeli, a new noxious compound was created to replace the old toxic gas the creatures could expel. Moving away from the toxic mist of Carnelion IV as a base, the researchers created an organic compound that was based on the Trauger Gas of Socorro that the creatures could produce naturally from a new organ developed within their bodies. The new gas attack was proven to be far more potent than the original, pleasing their Sith master to no end. Once the new creatures were born from their alchemy chrysalis, the Lady of Secrets dubbed them the Cirmuhai, Pandemic in High Sith, and presented them to the Dark Lord Darth Carnifex.

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Name: Life Siphon
  • Manufacturer: Taeli Raaf
  • Affiliation: Taeli Raaf, Sith Empire (Requires permission from Taeli Raaf, only for use in small units)
  • Modularity: No modularity

  • Production: Semi-Unique
  • Material: Lignan Crystal Lattice, Sith alchemically treated Impervium
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Sith Artifact
  • Size: Small
  • Weight: Light
SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Draws energy from dark side Force nexuses to empower individuals that are not Force Sensitive with the dark side of the Force, much like the empowerment process of the Reborn or Sith Cultists centuries ago.
Strengths:
  • Life Siphons are able to draw and store dark side Force energy by being in proximity of powerful dark side Force Nexuses, absorbing the ambient energy they emit.
  • Once the Life Siphon is fully charged, the subject that was implanted with the device can draw upon the power within and utilize the Force, much like a Sith or Dark Jedi.

Weaknesses:
  • Once the energy stored within the Life Siphon is exhausted, the subject cannot access the Force until they recharge the artifact by exposing themselves to another nexus
  • If the artifact's crystal lattice is damaged, the device will rapidly drain the life energy of its host, reducing them to dust.
  • If the crystal is attacked by Force Light, the device will shatter and the resulting feedback will disintegrate its former host.

DESCRIPTION

Drawn by stories of the Scepter of Ragnos and its abilities to make non Force Sensitives able to wield the Force, Taeli Raaf and a small team of Sith artificers from her Order of Shadows began researching a way to replicate the effects. The scepter itself might not be available for direct study, but the stories from centuries ago that survived were enough to give the team a direction to work in.

The key, they discovered, was making use of locations powerful in the Force and manipulating the energy of these nexuses. However, Taeli did not want to complete reduce the nexuses of power like the Scepter as that could create a whole host of problems and questions that could attract unwanted attention. Constructing a prototype device that could absorb dark side energies by using Lignan Crystal, the Lady of Secrets and her alchemists traveled to Upekzar for their experiment.

Harnessing the power of the immense dark side energies around the Circle of Visions was the easy part, the next part would be less so. A volunteer from the Sith Legions was brought along to be implanted with the prototype device once it had absorbed enough ambient energy from the area, the artifact being fused into his chest through a mixture of Sith sorcery and surgery. When the procedure was complete, the subject was able to perform some small feats of the Force. However, the crystal lattice was flawed in some way and when he attempted to perform a small demonstration of Force Lightning, the crystal broke and only ashes and the broken artifact remained.

Despite the setback, the prototype had worked and Taeli set her Master Artificer to creating a more perfected device. The perfected artifact, now being called a Life Siphon, could rapidly absorb ambient dark side energies from any nexus in the Sith Empire and gift that power to those implanted with it. With a little training, any subject could become a powerful and unexpected weapon against the enemies arrayed against the Sith Empire and Taeli proceeded to inform the Emperor of her experiments.

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Name: Sigils of the Soul
  • Manufacturer: Taeli Raaf
  • Affiliation: Taeli Raaf, Individuals that complete her challenge
  • Modularity: Color changes depending on the soul housed inside

  • Production: Semi-Unique (Thirteen total crystals, each will be subbed as the challenge is completed),
  • Material: Corusca Gem altered by Sith alchemy, Spirit Ichor
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Gemstone Talisman (can be placed in a ring, necklace, etc.)
  • Size: Small
  • Weight: Light
CONTENTS
  • By defeating an opponent, and uttering the incantation to activate the magic embedded in the gem, the user can siphon part of the soul or spirit of their vanquished enemy into the gemstone. Once that is done, they can assume the shape of that being, including gaining access to any skills they may have possessed knowledge of.
Strengths:
  • The gemstone can siphon part of a being's soul into itself once that being is defeated, whether that be unconscious or dying, and the incantation in the Sith language is spoken.
  • Once activated, using the same incantation used to trap the soul within the gem, the user transforms into that being and gains their skills and abilities, along with any unique physiology.
  • A side effect of the transformation is, if the user has been injured, once they transform any trace of their previous injury disappears completely.

Weaknesses:
  • If the gem is struck directly by Force Light, or the gemstone is broken in some way while the user is transformed, they will be trapped in their assumed form.
  • The gem can only store part of one soul once it is used, it cannot be used to cycle through different beings.
  • Any injuries suffered while a being is transformed will carry over to their original form once they transform back, including what would be mortal or debilitating injuries.
  • If the user doesn't have a strong enough will, the piece of soul in the gemstone can slowly drive them insane or even completely possess them.

DESCRIPTION

A culmination of sorts in her research into combining the powers of Sith alchemy and the magic she had learned from the Nightsisters, the Sigils of the Soul are an interesting experiment for the Lady of Secrets. Inspired by tales of the ability of Nightsisters to shapeshift through special amulets and talismans, the Lady of Secrets began the process of creating these special gems by selecting thirteen Corusca Gems and bathing them in spirit ichor.

Once the ichor had been absorbed into the gem, Taeli proceeded to alter them through Sith alchemy to strengthen them and grant them the ability to store the souls of a victim. A little Sith magic was then embedded in the gem as an activation spell to draw the soul into the gemstone and allow the user an easy trigger for a transformation. Once the gems were completed, the Lady of Secrets was ready to unveil what Project Aura had really been designed for and whether any would dare take her challenge...
