DESCRIPTION
The T-90 Dreadplate is the core armor system of Dreadstar Security Solutions and represents Aether Technologies' answer to the need for a balanced, adaptable protective platform for private security forces. It is designed to perform reliably across a wide range of operational environments without requiring the logistical support or specialization of full military armor. Structurally, the T-90 is built around a Duraplast micro-frame that distributes impact forces across the torso and limbs. Reinforced Gammaplast plates are layered over this frame, shaped to deflect blaster energy and reduce penetration. Beneath the plating, a shock-absorbent armorweave undersuit provides thermal regulation and mitigates blunt-force trauma. The armor offers solid protection against light and medium blaster fire, slugthrowers, and fragmentation. While it cannot withstand sustained fire from heavy weapons, it significantly improves survival odds in standard firefights and ambushes. Damage is often localized, allowing the wearer to remain combat-capable even after taking multiple hits.

Environmental resilience is a major strength of the T-90. The armor is sealed against smoke, toxins, and extreme temperatures, and can support the wearer in vacuum or low-atmosphere conditions for short emergency intervals. Radiation protection is limited but sufficient for industrial accidents or damaged starship compartments.
