Description: The T-21 Light Repeating Blaster was a legend in its day for its stopping power. However, the bulky power pack and slow rate of fire made it a weapon of limited utility.
RCFC has tried to change that.
The T-21 Modified has a few unique features that the Empire wishes it had thought of.
Rather than relying on the bulky 20 kilogram power pack that typically accompanied the weapon and made life hell for many a trooper, the Modified uses special 30 round magazines that contain just enough blaster gas and power for that many full powered shots. When the magazine is expended, it can be quickly ejected and replaced, allowing the shooter to continue firing. The magazines are on the bulky side, however. While the customer can carry a fair few on his person, after a certain point he'd be better off using the power generator.
The cooling shroud on the barrel was another feature that held the otherwise formidable weapon back. RCFC reworked it to disperse heat more efficiently. The weapon can now fire at a maximum rate of three rounds per second. Doing so is not recommended from the standing position, as the thing is a beast to handle. It should also be noted that, while more efficient, the new cooling shroud is heavier as well, adding a half kilogram to the overall weight.
In order to assist the customer in the marksmanship department, the T-21 has been fitted with a holographic aimpoint dot. When properly zeroed, the aimpoint is accurate out to 150 meters. It is not recommended for use in low light environments, however, as it can give your position away to the enemy.
