OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • | Intent | To create a medical substance that enhances an individual's reaction times as well as the body's natural healing speed.
  • | Image Source | Source
  • | Permissions | N/A
  • | Primary Source | N/A

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • | Name | Synchrozine
  • | Manufacturer | ApexTech Industries
  • | Affiliation | Closed-Market
  • | Modularity | N/A
  • | Production | Minor
  • | Material |
    • Numerous synthesized compounds that will not be disclosed to the general public.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
  • | Classification | Combat Stimulant
  • | Method of Consumption | Injection
  • | Average Life |
    • Maximum Potency for 1 Galactic Standard Year after production; Potency diminishes any time after.
    • Roughly 30 minutes of effect after injection, effects begin to deteriorate after 15-20 minutes.
  • | Nutritional Value/Allergies/Side Effects/ Purpose |
    • Rare Allergenic cases have been found to result in rapid deterioration of the brain that often results in death unless treated immediately.
    • Synchrozine overdose can result in deterioration within certain parts of the brain, resulting in their activities becoming significantly slow. Extensive overdosage can result in a rather painful death.
└ Heavy distortion between real-time and actions. They will move like a sloth while thinking things are moving normally around them.
└ Plenty of rest and nourishment can restore any affected areas of the brain back to normal.

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Enhanced Reaction Times
  • Enhanced Natural Healing Factor

STRENGTHS |
  • | Reaction Times | Synchrozine in a sense wires the brain and gives a massive boost to an individual's reaction times, with about a hundred percent increase in reaction times. This significantly improves combat performance as the individual can react to their environment and threats more quickly than their enemies will be able to react to them.
  • | Healing Boost | Like similar compounds such as kolto and bacta, Synchrozine improves the body's natural healing factor by a significant amount. While it won't heal fatal damage, many things such as blaster burns, bruises, minor cuts, etc. can heal in a matter of minutes after using. This effect continues to persist for the full effective time of Synchrozine.
WEAKNESSES |
  • | Diminished Returns | While the user is significantly boosted in the initial half of its effective time, the potency of the drug begins to wear off over time. Upon the passing of roughly thirty minutes, users have noted that they feel more sluggish than what they normally would be prior to combat/usage of Synchrozine.
  • | Sloth | A common side effect of overdosing Synchrozine (Not including potential death), is the 'slowing' effect it can have on one's motor skills. By overdosing on Synchrozine, the brain registers everything at such an accelerated rate that the body is unable to keep up with it. In essence, this 'slows down' time to the user, and so they react to things via motor skills significantly slower in real-time. They will believe they are reacting to something like normal, but their movements will be extremely slow and sluggish like that of a sloth.

DESCRIPTION

Synchrozine is an experimental combat stimulant introduced to the market as a supplement to military first aid kits, providing something akin to an adrenal boost in order to improve a soldier's efficiency on the field while also giving a soldier something to cut the edge off of any injuries they sustain. In short, Synchrozine was designed to make a soldier function faster, and allow them to get back on their feet after sustaining non-lethal injuries in a pinch.
Of course, Synchrozine is not without its faults. As an experimental drug, it was pretty much guaranteed that there would be some negative side effects, some proving to be more lethal than others. It was deemed to have enough strengths to warrant its drawbacks and thus released into the Galaxy, and if people died from overdosage? Simply put, it was just a matter of let those too foolish to realize the negative downsides of what could happen spend the rest of their life being a sloth or dying.
