Another mission with another objective on another world. Only this time not only was the primary objective not murder but he would be getting something out of the deal. Ore to be exact but not just any ore but one that apparently handled saber strikes fairly well. Vengeance usually preferred to dodge or parry attacks but every now and then one slipped in and it would be very beneficially to be wearing material that would keep him from getting cut in half.

Despite having moved up in the world Vengeance still traveled for the most part in rust bucket shuttles. It was familiar and familiar was a good thing. It meant you had a better idea of what was going to happen. However this time he was in a larger freighter. Large enough to be able to hold the ore for the Dark Lord plus a little bit for himself. The pilot's voice over the intercom broke his concentration.

"My lord we are entering the atmosphere now ETA to the surface just under an hour."

Vengeance hit the button to answer back.

"Very good LT let me know when we are ten minutes out."

He started to gather up his supplies to get ready to make landfall.

Darth Azurea was more of an alchemy/herbalist than a mining expert. During her brief time as a Jedi, she led the Silver Sanctum branch of Agricultural Corps to assist struggling farmers with crop rejuvenation, and also went on a mission to Dronga to try and bring back a plant called Bota, which used to be valuable to the Jedi. Plant and animal life was more what she was familiar with, even as a Sith. She had used alchemy to create her Sithspawn, the frightening Xilsaga, who was still struggling to survive in the Fresia laboratory where she had been made. And she had studied briefly with Warok the Defiler to learn about poisons.

But securing Obredaan resources, especially these precious Cortosis reserves, would be important for the One Sith. Darth Azurea landed her Mobquet Medium Transport close to the largest of the mines. [member="Darth Pyrrhus"] had landed in his own ship somewhere else on the planet to do the important bidding of the Hand of the Dark Lord. Knowing her Master was close by was quite a relief, even if he were in a muck-filled swamp and she in a hazardous mine.

She dressed quickly in a thin envirosuit, the type that she had worn on Dronga and made her way to the entrance. Meeting up with the shapeshifter, [member="Naga Itesak"], after he finished killing some of the native species known as the Jin’ha, she asked: "Are you going to be okay in the mine without protective gear? Cortosis can damage your lungs and skin if you're not careful."

She didn't mean to sound like a school chaperone, but it would be ashamed to lose a Sith to ore toxicity when there were so many other dangers on Obredaan.

Naga looked at her for a moment, She was right cortosis is harmful to the lungs and here he was about to jump into the mine unprotected. What an idiot.... nothing can be more embarrassing then dieing from cortosis poisoning. He nodded to what she said and grabbed and envirosuit from her ship and put it on. gripping his blade before returning to her side he spoke for a moment she could tell that the killer instinct within was wide awake and ready to be used again. "The entrance is cleared how ever.... there are more within. But it matters not ... If they bleed they will die ... and i will make them bleed whether it be by my claws or my blade." She could tell that he had a certain protectiveness that seems only to awaken when shes near him for some unknown reason. But naga move forward using the glow from his blade as a light source and waited for the others to follow.

He arrived at the same time everyone else did, though in a bit of a different location due to a minor transportation mix up, it only meant he had to walk a bit more.

Belgerath had joined up in the mission to Oberdaan, and was heading to help in clearing out the mines. As such, he had on an environmental suit himself as well, which proved to be rather annoying in the long term but he would deal with it. Belgerath ventured through the jungle itself with not too much difficulty, simply avoiding the natives on his way there, though keeping a careful count on how many he saw, which wasn't too many.

When he arrived he found Azurea and Naga conversing, and he raised his hand up in a form of greeting. "I am Belgerath, here to help with the... Mission in the mines." Belgerath said simply as he walked over to them.

Blue-eyes widened as she caught the hilt of Sage's lightsaber. Dark-brows rose as if to give her master a look - REALLY? YOU THINK I'M READY??????????? AWWWWW-YEAH. Feet hopped up and down a little in her place on the swampy earth but she played it off like she was stretching, getting limber, or something like that. After all, she had remain professional. There were armies of sith soldiers and this chick Sayl and this other new guy.

She eyed Mullarus up and down.

New people were fun to the social-teen that spent most her time imprisoned training on Sage's Star Destroyer. Too-blue eyes darted from Sage on that mount and back to the mass of sith soldiers. The Starchaser would've been fine in going either direction. Racing horses through a swampy war-zone and learning more from her master's direct hand was just as alluring as following the fray of soldiers and the unknown of the cortosis mines. But with a silent nudge of the force, she knew where her path lay.

"I'll find you when this is done," she finally tore her eyes away from Sage's honey-brown ones, having made her choice. Carefully, she clipped his lightsaber to her belt. She gave a short nod to Sayl and turned to their - apparently - chaperon.

"Mulalrus? I'm Kinsey. Let's go get us some chit." She offered him a warm handshake, hoping Sage wouldn't get jealous over something so trivial.

Mullarus pulled the dirty scarf over his mouth down a bit to give [member="Kinsey Starchaser"] a more warm greeting. He smiled and shook her hand, "Nice to meet you. By the way, it's...Mullarus." Never before had the young man heard anyone butcher his name quite like that. Had Lord Bane said it wrong, too? No, no, surely not...

"I see you will be taking a lightsaber to the fight. Good on you, you've got that much of an advantage over me already." He said, somewhat envious as he had not taken the time to research how to construct one at the Academy yet. I guess i'm just too eager to begin my ascension... Mullarus continued, "Er, well, anyways, let's head west now. I hope you're as ready as I am to take a hike through a swamp."

Because he most certainly was not.

Mullarus pulled his scarf over his mouth and nose once more. The scarf itself smelled pretty nasty as it was, but he figured if there were any worse smells on Obredaan - considering how it is a swamp world, that was already likely - he would take it over that. The young apprentice's dark hair hung low and blew faintly in the Obredaan breeze. It would be longer if it were not so curly near the bottom. It was even worse now that they were on a humid world. His hair would have a gross greast feel to it thanks to the weather in the swamp world.

He turned to [member="Sage Bane"] and his other accomplice one last time, "I will be sure she returns to you in one piece, my lord." For his own sake, he hoped to the Force itself that he would live up to that. He hoped figured Lord Bane's apprentice was competent in combat enough to where she would not need to be constantly watched...

Xander stood dressed in his protective suit at the entrance of the mines. He simply shook his head at the lack of observance by the acolyte. [member="Darth Azurea"] handled it, fortunately, as Xander was known to have a sharp tongue when irritated, a fact Setzi knew all to well. Their first meeting, Xander had demonstrated his sharp criticism. Vizios demanded instant perfection from any acolyte, something which made him a reluctant teacher. His methods were harsh, and cruel. Xander believed one had to be broken then reshaped.

He would walk in, turning the built in lamp on to light the way. Others had glow sticks, other lamps, as light would be needed. Any of the natives which opposed him, simply fell as the force was used to dispatch them quickly. Some were crushed, others electrocuted, still others fell as though their hearts had simply stopped. Xander had become quite the executioner with the dark side. None were safe.

"We do not have much time. [member="Naga Itesak"] get a suit on and get inside. If not, then stay out here and keep watch."

Xander looked at Azurea.

"If his arrogance gets him killed he deserves it. You don't need to be concerned about his loss. The dark side has a way of weeding out the strong from the weak. You will learn as you teach there are simply those who are destined to be fodder for the stronger acolytes. In the same way you proved yourself to me, let him earn your concern on his own merit, not your getting after him for his own oversight of common knowledge."

His tone was not harsh. Vizios saw value in Azurea, and while not his student, he invested in those he found value in. The thought was left in the air as Xander moved into the mine.

Soon, the ship stopped rumbling as it broke through the lowest layer of the atmosphere. It would glide down through the sky, and into a patch of peat within the large swamp. The exit ramp hissed as it descended, and the Marine squad was the first to exit. They rapidly established a perimeter around the small island, and Ajihad stepped out of the ship. He noticed the thick humidity of the air, and little dew drops clung to his aquatic combat armor.
Just as he was observing their surroundings, one of his men whispered, "Sir I think I see something over there." He pointed to a patch between a few trees, and Ajihad saw the figure too. His cybernetic eye zoomed in, and he identified the form of Darth Azurea. He motioned for his men to stay put, and waded across the waist-deep water. He arrived at the other bank, emerging dripping wet. Upon entering the small clearing, he noticed that were several other figures there as well. One of them was his master. He turned to Darth Vizios and bowed his head. "Greetings, Master."

"Fair enough," said the Sith Lord to his young apprentice. "Don't forget to wear your rebreather into the mines" he told her, feeling strangely like her father all of a sudden. He blinked away the feeling, and then watched his apprentice happily shake Mullarus' hand. Kinsey was the opposite of Sage in that she actually liked other people, and he knew that she had been dying to meet some other Sith since their mission on Artisia. He was reluctant, but he had to cut the cord sometime. Sage turned to Mullarus with narrowed eyes that seemed to say, "I will Kaggath you so hard if you lay a hand on her."

"Thank you, Acolyte Mullarus. I trust that you will take good care of my apprentice. Perhaps you can teach her a few things that you learned from [member="Darth Pyrrhus"]?"

Then, the Sith Lord turned to his sister, and cocked his head slightly. "Ok, Sixer, what'll it be? Are you coming to help me with my experiments? Or would you like to go with them to slay some Jin'ha?"

As his twin was a former Jedi Padawan, he had a good idea of what the answer would be. Knowing his sister, she would chose to tag along with him, and give him her special brand of "help."

Thanith Gumara had Valkyrie Squadron running escort for a different kind of fleet. This one instead of destroying was tasked with building. Specifically building a Shipyard to be used as a forward operating base for future Naval forces. With the push for expansion recently by the Emperor they needed more than just the shipyards in the core to maintian peak combat readiness.

Thanith for reasons he would never understand had been asked to be an adviser for the building crew. First however he would do a few scans to make sure there were no surprises. Nothing put a project behind schedule like an enemy Squadron or even worse an enemy Fleet popping up to destroy and kill. With any luck though it would be a good career advancing type of mission.

Satisfied there were no surprises Thanith docked with the Flagship of the Support Fleet and made his way to the main conference room where the blueprints for the Shipyard were being finalized before the crews got to work.

"Good, Acolyte Itesak. Your loyalty is to be commended," said Darth Azurea after the shapeshifter declared he would strike anyone who dared get in their way. She turned to Belgarath and said, "Welcome. Let's make haste."

Suddenly, Darth Vizios strode in wordlessly and lit the way for all of them to proceed. This was fine with Azurea as she was focused on the mission and had no more time for small talk as well. The brunette Sith Knight didn't use her own light source. She tapped into her Force Sight, and like a cat, it was as if her pupils had dilated in the dark and she could make out most of the traversable area before her.

As she listened to the lecture from Darth Vizios, she suppressed the urge to sneer. She was becoming accustomed to his sharp tongue as it appeared to be a personal trait and nothing directed towards Azurea individually.

Her voice was calm, her words steady: "Yes, but Naga does no good to us dead. I would rather use caution than surrender this valuable resource to the Jin’ha."

But that was all she would say on the matter. Now was not a time for debate. They needed to sweep the mine and secure the Cortosis and that's all Azurea was focused on for the moment.

Wearing a rebreather strapped to her face to protect her lungs from the toxicity of Cortosis in its unrefined state, Trin made her way through the Jin'ha mines with a strange determination in her step. Dressed in long black robes over an armorweave catsuit, Trin blended in nicely with the One Sith soldiers had already begun their assault on the subterrean caverns, leaving innumerable body parts in their wake. Armed with only a blaster and a shock whip, the human-Anzat mix was on her own private sojourn. Trin was looking for her brother, and after finding out that he had joined the ranks of the Sith as one of their Acolytes, the tenacious young woman had finally tracked him to Coruscant.

Knowing Lucas, he would barely fraternize with the other students at the various academies and temples of the One Sith, so Trin surmised that she wouldn't get any useful information by trawling the streets of Coruscant. However, the clever girl had heard that many of the apprentices had joined an operation on Obredaan, one that was currently underway. So, simply banking on the odds that her friendless brother would be there, Trin hopped on a shuttle to the swamp world post haste.

Lucas was a special sort of man, nihilistic, ill-tempered and cruel. Hatred and rage pierced his heart like a poison arrow, and he was determined to tear down anything that got in the way of his mission. To kill everything. Despite his vitriol, Lucas was all she had, and she loved him deeply. Even if most of the time she wanted to punch him in his sullen face.

"Haste, i can agree with haste right about now, bloody swamp planet." Belgerath said, taking a look around at all those inside the cave before starting to quickly head inside himself, making sure his suit was sealed air tight as he walked. One could never be to careful with such things, and Cortosis poisoning was more then a little deadly.

Notably, Belgerath didn't use any form of lighting in the cave, able to seen everything he needed to see perfectly fine it seemed, though with his species such was to be expected. The remarks from the sharply tongued man cause Belgerath to make a mental note. Do not talk to the annoyingly sharp mouthed man.

While he mused mentally about how many people might be inside the place while the group walked into the cave, an explosion suddenly slammed against the outside of the cave after they all had ventured inside. A rocket launcher which a high level explosive, fired off by one of the natives, hit and collapsed the cave entrance, and quite possibly cause issues elsewhere, though it was hard to tell, Belgerath cursing loudly at the sudden occurrence, nearly tripping and bracing himself against the wall as the ground shook and the sound of crashing rocks echoed through the cave, disorienting him for a goodly while. Though the sound of creacking rock told them all they would need to run deeper into the cave to be safe.

Cameras turned slowly as new arrivals came to the mines and hovering over the data panel the Cyborg observed in silence. Machines move about behind him in lumbering movements with mystery. " Hm." He pondered about these new bodies entering the mines with no regard. Taking his eyes off the Screens Durza waved his hand to signal the number of machines behind him to leave his side. " Terminate them." he muttered as he turned around to return to over see the mining process. The Necropsi male was no worried about opposition at this current time only the gathering of precious metals.

Shambling down the tunnels of mines with distorted cries and moans were none other then the Jin'ha, but something was very wrong about them all. Their bodies were different and minds some how altered with salvaged mining droid parts. By all means the Jin'ha miners were still slightly alive and if one could take the time to consider who did this to the Jin'ha within the given time frame. Doubt best covers area for most humaniods.

Wielding medium grade blaster carbines and mining lasrers the corrupted Jin'ha patrol would soon encounter their targets in time. The closer the corrupted bring got the louder their collective cries could be heard in the enclosed cave.

"Help..us. Can you help me?! Help me please! Argh Help." Each one cried different but all ofthem repeated the same thing over and over. Apon contact of sight a fire fight would break out. The sense of dread was ripe in the air. Soon the intruders would feel, hear, smell and see it in full.

T'zanith was about to enter the Mine when he was given new orders by one of the ones in charge. "Sir we are to return to the cruiser and are to stay there." A trooper said coming up behind T'zanith, the man shouldn't have done that as he soon lifted up into the air and was thrown deep into the min. With a suck of his teeth T'zanith turned and walked back into one of the dropships. "Secure the area and await my return!" T'zanith shouted at the other troopers and as his drop ship was heading up into the air he saw the troopers following his orders.
As the drop ship hurled itself back to the build site T'zanith meditated as he stood inside the Drop ship. He couldn't tie some of the threads but as the drop ship was landing and the hangar doors opened once again he tied them all together. Animus, his friend was overseeing the construction site. As his feet hit the squelching mud he turned his head a little which caused his neck to crack as the joints surrendered their hold and released a slight wave of relief into his neck and then down his back. T'zanith waited for Animus to come to him but he would greet his friend with a smile, despite his annoyance to the change in orders but he intended to return the the mine he had chosen.

Dark eyes flashed crimson, and Sayl gave her brother a look as if to say 'guess', before moving briefly to the back of the shuttle in order to retrieve the second guarlara, walking the hoofed animal slowly back to where Sage waited. For a moment she studied the saddle that adorned its back, eventually climbing onto the steed as well, her movements surprisingly deft for this being her first time around such an animal. It couldn't be much harder than anything she'd survived on the streets, and besides, adaptation was pertinent, especially among the company she was choosing to keep. The Sith weren't the sort to help one another along, even if she had a feeling Sage would make an exception in her case.

A beat passed in which she sat there silently, not quite looking at him directly, her tone vaguely icy when she spoke, "I didn't think you'd have to ask, Sev. You know how I feel about needless killing or the unnecessary death of innocents." Two things that the others likely didn't share her sentiments on, given the ground on which they had built themselves up on. The slaughter of others was what these individuals thrived on, a virtue she would never understand or share within herself. "Don't expect me to follow everything you say willingly just because I'm here. I wouldn't have come if it wasn't for you. Take care to remember that. You might be some Lord to them, but to me you're just Sage. The rest of it is worthless."

That was more of a speech and less of the short and to the point statement she had intended, but it served its purpose just the same. Before this she had been training to be a Jedi, and a Shadow nonetheless, one that hunted down individuals just like the Sith her twin made himself out to be. If he hadn't been, well, her brother, she would have likely felt the same towards him as she did everyone else that served the so-called Dark Lord: disgust. Disgust at their willingness and want to kill, disgust at the code they followed, disgust at how they so easily sacrificed others, disgust at their simple existence in and of itself. But he was family, and that was enough to tolerate him for the rest of it. Tolerate, but no more.

The muscles in her jaw ticced noticeably, hands tightening on the reins. Stifling a Huttese curse she spurred the guarlara forward suddenly, it lunging forward into a swift and ceaseless gallop. It was a minute demonstration of her defiance, her stubbornness in not conforming to his will. She willed herself to become lost in the steady beat of the animal's hooves on the ground and the rhythm that it pounded into the swampy earth. The wind sluiced through her onyx hair, eyes narrowing against it as she continued onwards. Either he would follow or give her further direction through other means. Lightly she touched on his mind, "Are you coming, then?"

ANimus was getting all preparations done. As far of of now, the Main core was building and the great inner chamber was built. The foundation of all. [member="Kida Ravos"] Had wandered off, Animus did not even worry. Groom was there right behind her heels going in front of her and guarding her every step.
The Swamp was harrowing, the very air smelled of Acid and corrosion the Lake also was massive. The lake spanned a good Kilometer in length and by what the readings on the depth advisory said it was deeper than they would have ever imagined.

The creature in the bush appeared to be nothing more than a large Swamp frog that rustled the Malice. After much time and effort all the Materials for Construction had been brought in by Cargo freighters and a Low Swooping fighter would every once in awhile do a fly by to check up on everyone. Smooth Sailing. Everything was going perfect, Mythos no longer needed to prove his Abilities to himself, he could now focus on self training himself and acquiring power for the One Sith. Which is what he was here to do. To construct what he had already been planning for weeks on the foresight. Kida was never too out of his sight, and neither was Groom or the Construction, From the high root of a swamp tree he Barked out orders through short range intercom speakers. "Alright now that the Core is built we need to stabilize it and seal it off, then the Turbolift upon the massive Bungalow tree. "

Once the Main form on entry was complete, they would only need to complete the Skeleton of the Structure and then adjust all technological and electrical compartments....
There is still so much work needed.

"He is yet to prove himself valuable..." Xander said feeling the need to have the last word.

Suddenly there was an explosion. The cavern shook and, the rock cracked. There was a job to be done and they could not lose the chance to mine the Cortosis. A force barrier was raised above Xander's head to allow the others to pass through. He held it for as long as he could before pushing the force to his legs. The ammount of energy used to sustain both gave way, and Xander had to drop the barrier. He did so once everyone had made it through, but not before a large boulder fell on his leg. A sickening snap rang through the corridor as the Knight screamed. Tears welled in his eyes, as no one could withstand the initial jolt of pain he felt. His bone was destroyed, he knew it. Xander was handicapped now as an attack was coming.

"Dammit," he cried out in pain.

They had to go on, they had to deal with the attack. Xander would do what he could with the force, and for now it was rest. He would embrace the pain. His long since passed master once told him struggle was the true teacher of a Sith. Vizios had learned that lesson all too well, and he would prevail here. He was not weak, and should anyone try to take advantage of his predicament they would see first hand he was not. Their death would be the proving point, and a hard lesson learned to those who would witness.

"Ajihad," Xander said to his shadow. "Scout ahead, stay in the shadows. Find an alternate route, I will work on clearing the cave in if I can."

Eyes looked up to Azurea.

"I trust you will handle the leadership of this just fine."

Aside from his shadow, she was the only other one present he trusted, and Xander never trusted anyone.

They hadn't made it more than a few steps before the screaming started.

The sounds, terrified and agonized, echoed from Vynn's companion's comlink, punctuated by the wet impacts of a blade carving flesh. The Jin'ha bowed his head as he walked, making a strange sign with his long-fingered hands. For his part, the smuggler nearly emptied his guts down the side of the landing pad. Cold sweat lingered on his brow and back. He'd been in fights before, killed people, watched them die. But what he was hearing was savage and bloody like he had never imagined, and it filled him with horror.

"They have overwhelmed the entrance guards," the Jin'ha said, his strange voice heavy but matter-of-fact. "It is as we have foreseen. Blinded by greed, they have rushed to their doom." Vynn was about to ask what the alien meant when an explosion rocked the complex and a burst of flame and crushed rock flew up from the front of the mine. As the dust settled, the smuggler slowly realized its import. "You blew up the entrance," Vynn said numbly. "Now your own people are stuck in there. Trapped with the Sith."

The Jin'ha inclined its strangely-shaped head. "Contact with them was lost hours ago; the work of an advance agent of the dark ones, we suspect. Now the tunnels they sought to loot will become their tomb. Cortosis will seep into their bodies and choke them with its poison. But the battle goes on." Vynn stared at the alien in disbelief. "Just because you lost contact with them doesn't mean they're dead! They're miners, not soldiers, and they didn't sign up for this!" The smuggler stormed across the landing pad toward the complex.

"Where are you going?" The Jin'ha asked, its voice infuriatingly placid. "To look for survivors," Vynn replied, pulling on his breath mask and cycling the emergency turbolift. He stepped into the tiny space, drawing his shotgun with one hand and his life form scanner with the other.
