' Summon Your Council, I have Secrets '
A story set in the
High Republic, within the Shiraya's Sanctuary

~

A gust of wind caught the thrall of dark robes laced upon a figure shrouded in enigma as Her traversed Shiraya's Sanctuary on course for the meditation summit. The Gallo Mountains found themselves caught in the eye of a spring time morning which casted rays of sunshine upon the edifice of this Jedi monument, and were at odds to the layer of cold dew which had settled upon the ramparts of their home, as Her walked towards the summit ahead enamoured with terrible secrets and a conspiracy which threatened Naboo itself.

By days end they were set to be shared with the most powerful and wisest Jedi left in the galaxy, Her planned.

It had been a standard three weeks since the stranger arrived via a starcraft of design and origin that were as about as alien as you could get. Alongside identifying herself as E. Nova (a former Knight of the Old Republic circa. 844 ABY) Her sequestered themselves to the dormitory and made them a temporary home away from Enarc until their request for a summit with the likes of Ala Quin (and her other peers whom sat on the Jedi Council) could be arranged to meet in person. Rumours around the Sanctuary during the weeks suggested that one of their own was coming back home to re-join them and others told of an Imperial expat in their midst who did not belong anymore.

Either one way, or by another, the truth always comes out in the end.

Stopping in the centre of the meditation summit, upon a circular structure located at the highest point of the Jedi enclave, Her folded both arms into either of their sleeves and turned their obscured gaze (hidden behind a pair of shades) to look upon her former ilk accompanied by an astromech which stopped to their left. Years of conspiracy among the Outer Rim systems had taught the Dark Lord much about their enemies in the Sith Order. Their machinations had subsequently brought down the Empire of the Lost, the Imperial Confederation, and the Diarchy as they had each conspired with Her until ill fate took them each.

Regimes toppled and burned asunder by the Sith Masters of the Stygian Caldera and Mandalorian boots upon Yaga Minor...

The most powerful and wisest of Jedi.

Ala Quin stood staring into the mirror, a fingernail scraping at the corner of her eye. Her nose wrinkled as she pulled her finger away. How could the corner of one's eye produce so much...goop?

She washed her hands thoroughly, scrubbing away not just the gunk, but the nagging, queasy feeling of being dirty.

These were the matters of grave import rolling about her mop-topped noggin as she stepped into the hallway leading toward the council chambers.

The doors slid open, and Ala offered a thin smile to the few already gathered. "Look sharp, team. We have a Sith inbound. I highly recommend taking nothing for granted. Disbelieve half of what they say and discount the rest. Even the 'truth' is only being offered to serve an end they desire."

Lily had spent the morning doing her usual training routine and started organising the training regime that she wanted to try out with Kito Kito . See if she could get her Padawan working as hard and as intensely as Lily trained herself on the daily. It was going to be a mix of cardio, weapons training and some weight training so Kito could build some muscle. As she was planning the morning routine so that it covered everything that Kito needed to get done in the morning before the day could start, a message came through and it was a call that someone that Lily did not recognise was requesting a meeting with the council.

Curious but Lily figured it would be good for her to be there and see what was happening.

Stepping out of her office, Lily made her way to the council room, her thoughts lingering on the routine for Kito still as she wandered. Thinking on whether she needed to add a meal planner or some form of dietary advisement. Would that be too much? Lily was meant to be the Master and training Kito to become the best version of herself but Lily wasn't sure how in depth that meant that she should go. Lily worked hard in the training and pushed herself to finding new limits in order to be the best fighter that she could be. It would be bad if Lily didn't offer that chance to her Padawan.

But maybe something to consider later. See how this training regime suggestion goes down first.

Arriving at the council chambers, Lily gave a bow to Master Quin. "Greetings Master Quin." Hearing that this was going to be a Sith that they were meeting with, Lily was very curious on what was going to be discussed. "Perhaps they will provide some information on the Blackwall? While we might not believe everything they say. Doesn't mean we should discount the chance to finally gain some advantages in fighting the Sith." War was inevitable from the way things felt right now and Lily was hopeful in figuring out ways that they could coordinate attacks and chip away at the Sith Order as well as the Sith Covenant.

SHIRAYA'S SANCTUARY
IN GRANDMASTER QUIN'S POSSE
Sela felt a tremor of apprehension in the Force and allowed her hand to brush against the lightsaber at her belt.

She kept her steady gaze on the Grandmaster as she reached up to smooth a strand of silver-white hair that had come loose at the nape of her neck. Sela hadn't encountered a Sith in some time, and she felt a spike of something like excitement at the prospect. Not that she was looking for trouble, but she was anxious to be prepared for it just in case.

Sela slid her hands into opposite sleeves and considered the matter.

"Ought we to clear the meditation area, Master?" she asked. "At least of Knights and Padawans. We do not know this so-called Sith's intentions, but it seems like tempting fate too much if we do not take precautions, no?"

Sela Basran Sela Basran Lily Decoria Lily Decoria Ala Quin Ala Quin Her Her

Her elbows rested on her knees. Eyes closed to take in the silence before the rest of the council began to gather. She gave each of them a warm look and a nod as they piled in before going back to her meditation between each moment.

Didn't have to tell Colette twice about how much trust to put in words. It was a policy best applied to just about everyone. Words were cheap and meaningless. Action far less so. When someone came offering secrets — a thing that inherently was just a word against another — there was very little to take stock of.

So she remained in her seat. Thinking, pondering, imagining what words a Sith could deem so important they demanded an audience with the grandmaster of a whole Order specifically.

She stopped once it became clear that such idle fantasies served no practical concern for the moment. At the very least it was bound to be something interesting, she supposed, and waited for the whole thing to start already.

Standing in the centre of the summit stood Her. Wordlessly, with an eerie quietness, the woman caught between the watching Jedi stared back as they took their seats or places. A familiar pang caught the fallen Jedi in their midst as she realised that she did not know any of them. Yes, Her had met Ala Quin (before her ascension to the position of Jedi Grandmaster) during the debacle involving the Larkspur Crescent, which to this day, had yet to be found and the fate of her crew a mystery unsolved by the venerable clone who had forewarned her peers that the face of Tarsai is a Sith Lord. But that could hardly be called a relationship in spite of the fact that Her had tried to court one with Quin at one-point-in-time after Ala's investigation had led to nowhere.

It was another reminder that this was a different time. All of Her's peers, friends and comrades were all dead by the march of the long dead One Sith, or were far too gone as they pursued the pathology of the Dark side of the Force. Still living among the Jedi within the Shiraya's Sanctuary these past few weeks had been a brief respite from the reality of the situation that Her had quietly enjoyed immensely. Away from the fog of Lianna City and the conspiracies wrought amid the Imperial remnants was something akin to a holiday for them.

But under these watchful gazes of the Jedi, with an air of tension that was palpable even up here upon the meditation summit, Her was reminded that she no longer belonged to the Jedi Order and it silently hurt the undercover Dark Lord of the Sith as she pursued an agenda immersed within the tapestry of Darth Bane.

"Allow me to introduce myself formally. My name is Ella Nova," Her lied after breaking their silence.

"I am a former Knight of the Old Republic, and today, an economist based on Enarc. Up until a few weeks ago I was also a former member of the Establishment for the Commission of Civilian Interests based in New Aldera. This organisation, founded by Karl von Strauss, was a civilian scheme which provided oversight for government over the Imperial Confederation whom succeeded the Empire of the Lost within the Ash Worlds and Tion Hegemony."

A former Jedi turned Imperial, and if Grandmaster Quin was correct in her educated guess, a Sith Lord.

"Also, with thanks to Loa Sodi's repatriation and naturalization scheme, I am recent a naturalised citizen of the High Republic..."

Aurelian Veruna Aurelian Veruna 's influence and desire for power, indeed, knew no bounds.

Averting their gaze away from the crowd Her lowered herself down to the height of the astromech at their side and programmed it to begin displaying a holographic representation of the Ash Worlds, Tion Hegemony and Thandon Star Cluster.

The telemetry was old comparatively to recent data and maps indicating the specific regions highlighted in the Outer Rim Territories for the Imperial Confederation had collapsed following it's second incursion into the Corporate Sector after it invaded the Dostra system. Still, emblems of the Imperial remnants indicated their former territories near and around Tion while the familiar red of the Sith Order hovered above Thandon and the various star systems located within the star nebulae, most notably, the Stygian Caldera.

"Firstly I am here to debrief the Jedi Council regarding a conspiracy to destroy the High Republic which began in the Outer Rim systems," Her explained as she stood back up.

As she spoke to the amassed Jedi, Her begun to walk around the holographic representation of the Outer Rim Territories as charted by Imperial cartographers that she had, up until recently, called colleague with their signature and TK codification hovering above planets there specifically highlighted by the holographic programme. Brosi flashed within the Thandon Star Cluster while other planets, such as Lianna and Minntooine, were highlighted in former Imperial territory.

"Secondly I am here to organise my re-entry into the Jedi Order..."

Ala leaned back into the chair that was still far too big for her. It was awkward. If her back was against the back of the chair, her legs did not reach the ground. If she sat too far forward she looked uncertain and ill at ease. So, she crossed her legs, and shuffled backwards, making the space her own.

"Yes. The meeting may prove fruitful, Knight Decoria," she said. Lily's last name still left a pang of unfinished business in Ala's heart. "But, I am sure you will agree, everything we hear must needs be verified and even then, taken with a great deal of caution. If a swindler gives a wounded man a crutch, the wounded man would be wise not to put all its weight upon it."

To Master Basran she turned. "A wise consideration. If you would see to it immediately, it would certainly lessen the fall out should anything go awry."

He gaze fell upon Collette, for just a moment. Ala needed to dedicate time to connecting with the Knight. So much to do. So much to do.

Upon the arrival of their guest, Ala bid them speak their piece, and kept silence until they had indicated their words complete. Her expression was neutral. Unmoved. Unreadable. Her fingers twitched though, tapping on her knees impatiently.

A long stillness fell over the room. Ala leaned forward slowly.

"We have met a couple of times in the past, haven't we?" Ala said, knowing the answer, "interesting to finally put a name to the face. But tell me, Ella Nova, how many other names do you go by? How many other titles?"

As Her continued to step through the holographic representation of the former territories of the Imperial Confederation, and that of the Sith Order's vassal state, she replied to Ala's questions: "Which were you curious the most about?"

Ala Quin said:
"I am sure you are smart enough to figure out which one concerns me the most."

Her passed Ala as she fired a quick fire question in response full of wit and implication. Although their crimson eyes were concealed behind the pair of spectacles that she wore Her could not help but look away from Quin while she smiled. As someone who had spent the past five years lying and living through impersonations or acts Her was acutely aware that looking away like this was the tell of a liar and there was no doubt that she was, indeed, someone who lived by lies. Alas the truth was far more asinine for Her hated that smile and it's ability to install the flare of anxiety or doubt that it brought up whenever she was in the same room as this woman.

"I cannot really tell," Her lied again. Before Ala could interject the enigma traversing the meditation summit amid conspiracy and holograms began to talk about the worlds hovering above them.

"The Outer Rim systems are dangerous and full of people or organisations that would do their worse to a Jedi even if they were no longer affiliated to or had called an enclave their home for a considerable amount of time. Take for example a former colleague of mine. Taregh Garon is a fine Inquisitor. No doubt about that. A lethal hunter of Force sensitives and head of the Inquisitorius formed after the second Imperial occupation of the Tion Hegemony was sworn in under the rule of his late master Liraeth Deschart..."

A veiled threat. Yeah, this woman knows Jedi killers and worked with them. For years.

"...I can only imagine what he would have done to me if he had discovered that I was raised and trained by the Jedi Order..."

As Her turned their back to Ala and continued to walk aimlessly through the holograms floating around them (projected by the astromech she had walked in with) she left it to the imagination of the Jedi in the room as to what the Grand Inquisitor would have done to this stranger who called herself a former Jedi also and why (or perhaps better to ask how) she had called such a man a colleague amid the ranks of the Imperial Confederation before it collapsed into remnants after the Second Battle of Brosi.

"Yes, the alias and title of Warden Primus was really helpful in keeping myself alive and useful to the Imperials," Her admitted to the room as she passed Colette while catching their eyes within the reflection of the rims of their glasses as they glowed in holographic light while Her walked and talked to the other Jedi in the summit.

"Calling myself by such things avoided the wrath from the likes of Sularen or Kilran when I was working with them against the Thandon-Sith. Although I somehow think von Strauss would have been more amenable to me then his peers if he had known he had been working with a Jedi the entire time..."

Colette's eyes darted between Ella and the grandmaster. What Ella had provided in response to her question wasn't an answer. It was an attempt to evade it. For Collete it was hard to ask for information about titles she wouldn't know about. The shared history between the two might have made Ala aware of a name or two but Colette didn't have any such privilege.

"Frankly speaking, I don't care about what names you mention, Miss Nova." Colette shook her head. "The only thing of any weight out of your mouth so far has been about a conspiracy against the Republic and that you used to work with an Inquisition."

"The first one is peculiar that you bring to us instead of the proper channels in the Republic itself, and the second one is damning at best." Her arms crossed. A beat passed before she spoke again. "You refer to this inquisitor as a colleague."

"They hunted down Jedi and murdered them. What did you work on for this Inquisition, and to what extent?"

Colette said:

Colette said:
"The first one is peculiar that you bring to us instead of the proper channels in the Republic itself, and the second one is damning at best..."

Before she answered Colette's direct question about their affiliation to the Inquisitorius, Her intended to showcase why she had travelled to Shiraya's Sanctuary to share the intelligence, secrets and aspersions that she had learned during their time in the Outer Rim systems with the Jedi Council rather than the High Republic Senate that could be found in the capital of Naboo.

"Arr-two," Her said towards the astromech in the centre of the room. "Pull up D.S.D.T file titled 'Grimmin' and play."

The holograms hovering above Her changed from a holographic map of the Outer Rim Territories to an intelligence dossier created by the defunct New Imperial Security Bureau. As the emblem of the long-dead organisation of Imperial spies and saboteurs appeared in the corner of the hologram (with long lines of text detailing what the contents of the dossier entailed) an image of Lodd Grimmin Lodd Grimmin flashed into the centre of the holographic display.

It showed him standing next to, and conversing with, Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex .

"I am here to tell you and the Jedi Council about the things I know, instead of Theed, because it has become a corrupt institution ever since the Kalantha reforms which saw the Royal Naboo Republic reformed into the High Republic," Her explained to Colette. "Have you ever heard of Lodd Grimmin?"

"He is the former Neimoidian Minister for the Trade Federation of Planets and who represented the Neimoidian system within the Galactic Alliance for years. An operative working as spy on the behalf of the Empire of the Lost was on mission in the Slice while pursuing an intelligence gathering operation on a key figure in the Sith Order when they found out this..."

Her stopped behind the astromech, and with a hand, she begun to scroll through the holographic dossier while she explained it to the Jedi.

"The Barahunde is a celebration held on Geonosis. A first in a generation, I believe, at the time that these pictures were taken. I confess I am ignorant to this custom and why it is held so I won't try to explain it. What I do know is that the N.I.S.B recorded Grimmin, in Golbah City spectating bloodsports, as what can only be described as an accomplice to a Dark Lord of the Sith. An invitee pictured conversing, and celebrating Barahunde, with Him."

Her pointed at Carnifex before they stopped scrolling through the holographic feed. Here a series of pictures taken from the day in question would flash into life before the Jedi Council.

"I think these pictures speak for themselves."

Lowering their palm onto the base of the astromech's cylinder dome, Her continued to tie together events which connected the Trade Federation of Planets to the Sith Order.

"Five years ago a war council was convened aboard the Mors Mon. A member of the Trade Federation was in attendance of that meeting while the Sith Emperor debated with other Sith Lords whether they would invade a star system held by the Galactic Alliance, or if they would pursue retaliation against the Empire of the Lost following a skirmish with them in the Felucia system."

Raising their palm back up Her continued to scroll through the dossier and stopped at an image of another member of the Trade Federation.

"An Imperial operative infiltrated that meeting and recorded a Sith Lord known to me as Blepharon who was in attendance of this meeting. This individual, who has since died, was a former trust member to the Sith-Imperial Banking Clan. During this meeting he also exposed a spy to this war council who was working on behalf of the Dark Empire in the Tion Hegemony. He had hopes that leaking the information would cause both Imperial administrations to declare war on each other."

The voice of Lord Blepharon begun to speak into the meditation summit as Her pressed the play button on the recording.

Blepharon the Complacent said:
"As for the Dark Empire and the Empire of the Lost, they both will be key players within the Galaxy, although we can turn them against one another due in part to information that I have obtained from my associates. It seems that one @Alicia Drey is in league with the Dark Empire, while also having a prominent place within the Empire of the Lost. Should this information be leaked, then we can watch them destroy each other."

"The associates that this Sith Lord were referring too are others working in the Trade Federation of Planets," Her explained after the recording finished playing while she continued to pull on one strand of the conspiracy to destroy the High Republic that she had alluded to at the beginning of the summit.

"Meii-Nu Suu, who was in an Imperial institution codenamed C.O.M.F.E.A.R during the Core Wars, is another deceased former Trade Federation delegate who worked on behalf of the Dark Empire. Alicia Drey, the operative who was a spy for the Carlac administration that served Darth Solipsis, who would go onto destroy the Galactic Alliance, can be seen here with Suu in these pictures."

Her brought up the images of a trade summit held in the Obredaan system which showed the connection to Suu and Drey. Another set of photographs taken from a Dark Empire tribunal on Cademimu V further empathized how this former delegate from the Trade Federation of Planets knew that Drey was a spy as she was sighted working on behalf of the Dark-Imperials who would instigate the Great Core Wars.

"I can only speculate that Suu told Blepharon about Drey and the result of that leak led to a catastrophe. When this Imperial spy was outed on the Mors Mon the war council's debate in regards to whom they would attack next had been solved for them. They would go onto settling on attacking the Imperial held star system of Tion which was later destroyed by Darth Carnifex after the battle had ended..."

Another record begun to play to the Jedi Council showcasing the Fate of Tion. A thousand Star Destroyers raining fire upon a world that was left destroyed and barren by the Eternal Father.

"In the aftermath of Tion's destruction the Kilran administration would be sent a letter by the Trade Federation," Her continued to explain as she built up the crescendo that would ultimately lead to the threat to the High Republic.

"A trade embargo was put in place upon the territories of the Empire of the Lost. Imperial star systems lost accessed to goods, supplies and trade to the Mid Rim and Core systems as a consequence of the Trade Federation of Planets while they exerted their influence and position to favour the Sith Order at the expense of weakening their enemies from Lianna. This would later lead to the end of the Empire which would, later on, be succeeded by it's successors in the Imperial Confederation."

Pulling up said letter detailing the subsequent trade embargo which contributed to economic collapse of the Empire of the Lost, as written and sent by Rulonom Laborr Rulonom Laborr , Her brought her explanation to it's conclusion.

"After the Kalantha reforms led to the formation of the High Republic there was an election race to decide who would become the High Chancellor," Her reminded the Jedi. "The former Queen of Naboo, who was the electoral favourite to become Chancellor at the time, moved for an election rather than being sworn in so as to give the Republic it's democratic process. This was both admirable and dangerous because, during that election season another ran for the candidacy for Chancellorship and whose connections to the Sith Order should be clear to you all by now."

A hologram of Sentapoth Findos flashed into life above the Jedi during his debate with the late Kalantha Kalantha . Stepping around the astromech to face Ala again, Her said to the Grandmaster: "You should remember this debate. We spoke in the terraces while the Trade Federation attempted to install one of their own into the top office of the High Republic, and at a time when it was still new, and vulnerable..."

Turning around to Colette, Her summarized: "I am talking to this council today, instead of the Senate, because the Trade Federation of Planets is in league with the Sith Order, and who have had members whom worked with the institutions and governments that ultimately led to the demise of the Galactic Alliance, and who destroyed the New Jedi Order, and who, to this day, are working in Theed as we speak..."

Colette said:
"You refer to this inquisitor as a colleague... They hunted down Jedi and murdered them. What did you work on for this Inquisition, and to what extent?"

"So, in regards to your question about the Inquisitorius, it goes something like this," Her said.

"They, alongside other key figures in the Imperial Confederation, were invited to join a clandestine group called Project Tion. It was founded in the Minntooine system and it's purpose was to pursue objectives that would lead to the revitalization of Imperialism throughout the Outer Rim Territories after the formation of the Imperial Confederation."

"In order to revitalize the Imperial remnants it was decided, by the members of this group, to pursue the annexation of the Thandon Star Cluster that is being held, still to this day, by the Sith Order. The role of the Inquisitorius was to find and destroy Sith while their superiors prepared, and then invaded, the Dostra system. This is why I worked with them. Ultimately their top target was someone in particular..."

As the image of Darth Carnifex appeared again, as his photograph was taken in mid-conversation with Lodd Grimmin, Her fell silent as the reasons as to why she had ever worked with the likes of Taregh Garon Taregh Garon became clear: she had been after the Eternal Father himself the entire time...

Lily watched and listened as the discussion continued, names were mentioned, titles, factions and connections to events that had occurred many years ago. Lily touched the side of her head with her fingers as she scanned over the information, absorbing everything that she could. While Lily was not someone overly fond of paperwork and long discussions or monologues, she felt it was important to at least take in everything as she could understand it. References to the Trade Federation were linked to the Galactic Alliance, the Sith Order and the early days of the High Republic. There were several questions that loomed in the mind of Lily as she took all the information in.

"Why did you not present this to the Galactic Alliance's Jedi Council or Senate while it was still around. In fact, this information could have been used to save the Galactic Alliance, do you not agree?" Lily was puzzled why bring this information to light so late, so long after the harm had already been caused. Nothing was stopping this being revealed before today. "Do you have any evidence of the Trade Federation currently doing any dealings with the Sith Order, or Carnifex? Do you have any evidence of any current senators working with enemies of the High Republic, or is all the information brought before us years old at this point?"

There was no harshness to Lily's tone and she was not aiming to be so critical of this person before the council but it was important to know more on why this was not present to either the Galactic Alliance or the High Republic before today and whether or not there was any actionable evidence that was going to be brought forward. Currently, the information and evidence was dated and the Trade Federation could declare ties were severed with Lodd and that he was an outside anomaly. If corruption was within the Senate, the council would need something far more current if they were going to bring it forward.

"I have one final question." Lily stated, leaning back in her chair, "you claim to desire to return to the Jedi, that you were once a Jedi but lost your way. How can we trust that you will not lose your way once again? That when word of another imperial force, or Sith force that desires to fight against Carnifex comes along, that you will not leave and share all the secrets that you learn here about us?"

Her stopped beside the astromech and found themselves going quiet as Lily picked apart the connections that she had made between the Sith Order and the Trade Federation of Planets. The tension in the room was palpable and intense as the fallen Jedi, turned secretive Sith Lord in the Rule of Two, fell under intensive scrutiny wrought by the members of the Jedi Order that she had sought to court and conspire with against their mutual enemies in the Outer Rim systems.

Reaching a hand down to the utility belt that she wore at the waist, Her produced a cigarette and lifted it up to their lips to begin smoking. As she exhaled a plume of smoke above themselves, while putting away the box and lighter that she had produced, Her took a moment to think about what Lily had said. It was based in truth. If Ella Nova had come forward to the Galactic Alliance, and explained the things that she was now sharing with the Jedi, then their subsequent collapse at the end of the Great Core Wars could have been averted with this information. Who knows what the New Jedi Order, or the other organisations within the old alliance would have discovered, if they had been given evidence which tied one of their own to the Sith?

Her's information was old. By at least two years. As she took another toke on the cigarette Her considered that it had been quite sometime since she had tracked the Trade Federation as well. Who knows what they were up too today? Were they really a threat to the High Republic anymore? Are they still working with Sith Lords as Her had suggested with the N.I.S.B dossier she had brought to Naboo?

Do they still hold ties to the Imperial remnants whom had previously banded together under Darth Solipsis to wage war upon the Galactic Alliance?

Are they still conspiring against the Jedi, and their High Republic, as Her was implying that they were?

Lily Decoria said:
"Why did you not present this to the Galactic Alliance's Jedi Council or Senate while it was still around. In fact, this information could have been used to save the Galactic Alliance, do you not agree?"

"Yes, I do agree," Her replied as smoke was exhaled again through the slits of their mouth and nose. "I should have stood in front of the New Jedi and told them about Meii-Nu Suu. Perhaps that would have been what they needed to unravel the conspiracy against themselves which could have saved the alliance. Lives. Though as I think about it more I do not think it matters anymore. The only things that do are what you have to lose today. After all the alliance is gone and they are not going to come back again. Axiomatic..."

With their fingers Her flicked the ash that had been building up at the end of the cigarette onto the ground and continued to speak.

"I did try to tell what I knew back then," Her sighed. "I met Valery Noble once in the Nespis system on Childhood. The meeting was short as you can imagine. I told Noble that there was a conspiracy against the Galactic Alliance and that I wanted to work with them to stop it. But I think that she had the same thoughts that I sense that all you have as well."

Licking their nips nervously Her took a literal step forward to confront the underlying issues that she was facing with the Jedi.

"I can only speculate and guess that Noble did not take what I said seriously, or literally, because she thought that I was trying to use her for my own ulterior motives," Her admitted to Lily. "After all those who follow the ways of the dark side are steeped in lies and are consumed by their own designs. Wouldn't it have been so useful to me to have a working relationship with the Grandmaster of the New Jedi Order as it still would be today with another standing in front of me?"

Her glanced at Ala before she continued to smoke the cigarette held between their fingers.

Lily Decoria said:
"Do you have any evidence of the Trade Federation currently doing any dealings with the Sith Order, or Carnifex? Do you have any evidence of any current senators working with enemies of the High Republic, or is all the information brought before us years old at this point?"

"I have nothing more to tell you about the Trade Federation," Her admitted while averting their obscured gaze away from Ala and back to Lily. "That does not mean that they could not be working with them either. Someone should look into it more, no?"

Tapping their other hand upon the dome of the astromech Her revealed: "Would you like to see a recording of Mand'alor the Iron explaining that the Mandalorian clans are contracted to the Sith Empress? Or that he is the biological nephew of Srina Talon themselves?"

"Or how a woman, whose links to the Sith are being rumoured, was coronated as the new Queen of Eshan recently?"

"There are plenty of links tying the Sith to other individuals coming and going from Theed. Take for example a Mandalorian I know to be called Adelle Bastiel. As I understand it she works closely with the Mandalorian leader, and was there at the same conference I was in attendance, where the Iron made these admissions which distinctly connect the Mandalorian Empire to the Sith Order. I saw this same woman sat in a podium not too far from where you all sit now observing the debate regarding the accountability reform bill that was motion by Senator Stuyveris recently."

"What are these people doing on Naboo when they are bought and paid for by the Sith?"

A faint haze of smoke settled itself across the meditation summit as it swirled amid the paused holograms of the dossier Her had produced about Lodd Grimmin and the Trade Federation.

"Something is wrong out there, I can assure you of that; and there are no Diarchs or Imperials in the Outer Rim left to fight. No-more coalitions in the Tingel Arm or rebel cells capable of launching a rebellion against these two entities whom have somehow, inexplicably, repaired their relationship to start working together against... Who?"

As she exhaled Her bowed their head solemnly.

"The High Republic will be next domino to fall, I fear."

Lily Decoria said:
"I have one final question... You claim to desire to return to the Jedi, that you were once a Jedi but lost your way. How can we trust that you will not lose your way once again? That when word of another imperial force, or Sith force that desires to fight against Carnifex comes along, that you will not leave and share all the secrets that you learn here about us?"

"I made no such admission," Her retorted. "I have never lost my way. I convinced men like Marlon Sularen, Taregh Garon, Karl von Strauss and Ronhar Tane to wage war upon the Sith Order in the knowledge that someone had to fight them. That truth still remains today."

Her lifted their gaze back up and turned to face the summit again as she spoke to the entire room.

"I am not like the Sith," Her lied to the Jedi Council while she answered Lily's final question. "If I am admitted back into this Jedi Order I will work with the others to take the clues that I have gathered during my time among the Imperials and use them to ascertain what other organisations, such as the Trade Federation, are in league with the Sith Order."

"This investigation is necessary to unearth the threats facing us and the High Republic. To discover the origins of this conspiracy that has seen the Sith Empire rebuild itself after it was defeated by the Ashlan Crusade and to stop the impending invasion of this High Republic. I have come here to convince you all of the dire threat to the liberties and civilisation that you have helped build up. To stop what happened to the Old Republic from happening to you under a relentless wave of Sith invasions and assaults."

"And if there are others who are out there and wish to stop the Sith Order then so be it. I will work with anyone you must come to understand this."
