Subjugation of Metalorn [VenomTartarus]

VenomTartarus

Silence means more than words
Venom had been busy with many projects, traveling across the galaxy, from planet to planet, dealing with the enemies of the Empire and furthering his goals. He was busy and would not waste his time for anything or anyone... but he did not have much of a choice when he is summoned by someone above him, like Darth Vazela , though assisting a Sith Master does have its benefits, specially a Sith Lord who has enough power to rule an entire sector. With this in mind he moved, he would not leave him waiting.

Venom boarded his interceptor and took off, leaving Korriban to depart to Darth Vazela's capital ship, the Obscurity. Upon reaching the ship he requested permission to land aboard it. As soon as he got permission he would land and immediatly headed to the bridge where the Sith would most likely be waiting.

The transparisteel doors rotated and retracted to the back of the enclosed, cylinder chute, allowing compressed air to leak over the sleek, metallic flooring of the hangar bay and for a certain, old man to emerge from the lift. Malus Bligh strode at a slow pace, using his metallic cane in his left hand as a support as he made his way forwards.

Around, Stormtroopers in their sleek white uniforms lined up to the left and right of the Sith Commander as he came to a stop. It was not a full battalion, but they were some of the best that the Obscurity had to offer and it was otherwise a sign of power. The Stromtroopers, in their position, formed a walkway of sorts, with them as the walls. The path led up to Malus, at the end of it in his jet black Imperial uniform.

When Venom's ship landed and the ramp began to descend, the Commander locked his stern, grey eyes on the vessel, waiting for it's occupant to step out.

Aboard the Black Sky Marcus stood impatiently, he wasn't here because subjugating Metalorn was a fun thing to do. No, he'd have preferred to avoid the planet all together for the remainder of his days. But life was in all senses of the word, a queen. He'd concluded that in order to raise his standing within the Empire, he'd have to do more than sit around and train people as he waited for an assassination mission that was never going to come. So, he'd willed himself aboard his Star Destroyer and set a course for Metalorn.

As the ramp descended, Venom was already there to leave the ship. As he walked down he looked around to see the soldiers ready to receive him in position. Respect was something Venom would not trade for anything. And so Venom walked as glouriously as possible. He was no Sith Master or Sith Lord but he was a Sith and as such deserved respect.

And at the end there was someone else awaiting him, no doubt of a superior rank. And so Venom walked towards him and upon coming close, nodded his head. "Greetings Commander. I suppose you are here to receive me? And Darth Vazela is waiting of course.... Let us not waste time then. Please lead the way."

[OOC: Marcus won't be joining us. I told him that if he wanted to do a subjugation of another world, he could make his own thread.]

Malus held his hands clasped behind his back as the Sith Knight made his way towards him. When Venom came to a stop, the Commander listened intently to his few words and replied by lowering his head, saying: "This way, my Lord." He turned away from Venom and started for the lift. He retracted the doors and they rotated around, allowing him and the Sith to step inside. When they were in the chute, the transparisteel doors closed and the lift began it's ascension to the bridge.

The doors opened again, with compressed air from the lifts systems leaking over the walkway. The air dispersed as Malus led the way out of the enclosed space onto it. Below the walkway, was the operations area, where the many bridge officers and James Kerval, his executive officer, were at work. The Commander walked across the walkway, slowly with his metal cane and came to a stop in it's middle, where there was a plinth that held up the structure. On the side of the plinth, was a ladder that led down into the operations area.

Malus gestured with his free hand towards the flight of stairs in front of Venom, that led up into a darkened, eerie room. He said, "Lord Vazela awaits your arrival, my Lord. This is where I leave you." Placing both hands on the cane, the Sith Commander looked expectantly at Venom and followed the Sith Knight's ascent into the observational deck, before he gingerly made his way down into the bridge to take over command from his second hand man.

The flight of stairs leading up to the observational deck, off the bridge's walkway, glowed artificial light in it's side beams, before coming to an eerie stop at the fourth, mid step, as the stairs began to creep away into the darkness ahead. A large transparisteel covered the observational deck from left to right, showing the dark expanse and empty void that was space.

A throne, rising up from the ground, had an architecture that suggested it was not natural and rather a deformed creation, like it had come to be from some dark place unheard of; and sat inside it's confines, was a man in a jet black, dark hooded robe, facing towards the screen. The mans yellow, predatory eyes were glaring upon space and save for the small sound of cooled air coming into the room from the ventilation above, which gave the observational deck a cool setting, there was nothing to hear but the individuals steady rhythm of his own form of ventilation.

His arms resting on the arm rests, Darth Vazela's cowl was lowered onto his back, revealing his degraded, chalk white features. Seemingly, he did not notice Venom's approach or the sounds of his foot steps as he ascended into the darkened room, but he knew, due to the Force; and much like Vazela could feel him, Venom Tartarus would most certainly detect the former.

Venom followed the commander soon after. From the elevator upon reaching the operations area, Venom looked around watching as the various officers worked on the ship. One day he would have a capital ship of his own, until then he could only be impressed with the Sith Lord's ship.

When they stopped Venom looked at the stairs and the dark area, and then at the commander "Certainly..." Venom nodded to the commander and went up the stairs into the dark room. From there he could not see much but you could sense a lot. The dark space visible from the observation deck was suiting and Venom did appreciate the view. He could not see the Sith Lord so well in the dark but he could feel his presence and as such, Venom kneeled.

"Greetings my Lord. I have come on your request. What do you require of me?" Venom raised his head to look at the Sith Lord, awaiting to understand why he was requested to come here.

[OOC: Actually, I merely wish to assist in Venom's takeover.]

Hailing the massive vessel that was the Obscurity, ready to begin the subjugation of the war-torn world of Metalorn. He lacked an idea as to why in the hell one would want such a world, but Tartarus did, and Faust was here to help, he'd need allies. "Commander Bligh, permission to come aboard?" He asked as the hail opened up. As he waited silently, he twirled two of his sabers in his hand as he awaited a response.

Malus had just settled back into the command seat. He looked for James Kerval, his executive officer and second in command, but the Lieutenant Colonel was no where to be seen. Then the Commander remembered that he was off duty currently. It looked like he would have to do his own dirty work. Turning his gaze to the hail, Malus said aloud, "Accept that transmission."
"Communications established," spoke the communications officer to the side.
Malus leaned backwards in his seat as he listened to the incoming hail. Normally, nobody could get in touch with the Obscurity. Much like the definition of it's name, it was either cloaked or in between worlds, in a part of space nobody ventured to. However, on this day, the Attrition-class Star Destroyer was above Dac. A shipment of stygium crystals, stockpiled in the Mon Calamari shipyards from Aeten II, were coming on board. It was important that the ship maintained it's stockpile of the crystals, for it's cloaking generators. Without them, the ship was next to useless.

"Of course, Lord Faust, provided my master wishes to see you, my Lord." Malus inclined his head to the Sith Knight before lifting the chrono on his wrist to his eyes. Using his other hand, he sent a message to Darth Vazela. The Sith Lord, if he was not too busy, could make a reply; and in the event that he simply ignored Malus, then the Commander would simply have to let Marcus down and send him on his way.

Darth Vazela's eyes were focused on the dark expanse ahead of him, arms rested on the throne that he had created, via warping the molecular structure of the durasteel floor of the Obscurity's observational deck and subsequently lifting and raising a new form of metal, which formed into the unnatural architectural look of the seat he was currently sat upon. The dark side of the Force was palpable in the eerie setting found on board the Attrition-class Star Destroyer. It was the headquarters of one of the only true Sith Lords in the galaxy, save for the pretenders who could only hope to rule over an Empire as he did.

The foot steps of the approaching Venom Tartarus was beginning to pull him away from his stupor. The Sith Knight had arrived on board his flagship to meet with him, in order to discuss him becoming the ruler of Metalorn, the site of the most recent conflict between Jedi and Sith; Republic and Empire. There was an uprising on the horizon on the munitions world, for Republic insurrectionists had been left behind by the Empire's greatest nemesis. These rebellious curs required attention. Perhaps Venom would be the source of that attention...

Vazela's stupor ended quite suddenly. He felt himself get to his feet, his jet black, darkened robes that hung off his frame like liquid black fall about him and drag on the sleek, dark floor beneath him. He finished his approach to the transparisteel screen ahead, mere inches from it. All his eyes saw were black, an empty expanse devoid of anything. But he knew there were entities, mysteries and happenings beyond what he saw; and although the physical realm betrayed nothing, his saw further, beyond the darkness and into the source of the disturbance that had brought him to his feet.

The source of the disturbance was that of a powerful entity, risen from the depths of obscurity and back into the open to those Force-sensitives who were paying attention. Fear managed to creep into the Sith Lord for the first time in decades. Only one known entity that he knew, his deceased Sith Master Darth Ayra, had managed to bring the emotion he despised to the surface. "Impossible... You are dead," he murmured to himself. It couldn't possibly be Ayra. It was something else.

What was it?

A bleeping sound on his wrist made him avert his gaze away from the disturbance in the Force that he felt. Lowering his eyes down to the chrono on his wrist, he lifted the device up to his eyes and accepted the message. "My Lord, a Marcus Faust is requesting permission to come aboard."

Marcus Faust. A Sith Apprentice, if memory served him correctly. The Sith Lord was not aware of his rise to Sith Knight. Subsequently, he turned his gaze to Venom and asked, "Is Marcus Faust your apprentice?"

Venom noticed the Sith Lord's attention drawn to something else... But it did not regard him so he would not ask though it was curious. Nonetheless if he had been called regarding what drew the Lord's attention he would soon find out. He did not get up until the Lord said for him to do so but he was surprised with the Lord's question. What was he doing here? Maybe he knew about Darth Vazela's plans? Nonetheless he might find out later

"No my Lord... I did not even know he was coming..." Venom thought to himself and decided to ask "Is there a problem? Or maybe he can be useful on the plans. Your decision my Lord" Venom awaited for the answer and for instructions of what was expected from him. THis was something that promised

Darth Vazela averted his gaze from the Sith Knight to his chrono and transmitted a message back to Malus. When he was finished giving Marcus permission to board the Obscurity, did the Sith Lord settle into his throne. "Rise Tartarus, I have work for you."

Clasping both hands together in a finger pyramid, he kept his gaze upon the space before him, chin rested on his finger tips. "It has been a year since I sent you to Vaynai on the Carnifex and no word from you. Why?"

Malus waited for several minutes until the chrono on his wrist vibrated and bleeped, indicating an incoming message. Knowing who the sender was already, the Commander read to himself, "Faust has my permission to come aboard. Escort him to the observational deck."

When he had finished reading, Malus turned his chrono back off and lifted his gaze to the established communication between the Obscurity and Faust's ship. He said, "Lord Vazela has giving you permission to dock. My legionaries will escort you to the observational deck."

Venom, upon the Sith Lord's orders, rose and stood in front of him. Hands crossed behind his back to await for orders. What work was expected of him, Venom did not know but he was there to listen closely. But instead was faced with the results of his previous mission. He was not worried as he had an explanation. Wether Darth Vazela would accept it or not that was another story, but it was the truth.

"My Lord I was to depart on the Carnifex but I was called to serve on Metalorn and I had to serve someone else, the Emperor. I cannot ignore the call for war, no matter what must be left behind. I serve the Emperor first and then the Sith Lords. And upon receiving my orders i departed immediatly leaving the mission on stand-by. When the conflict was over there was still some tension between factions. I needed to stay on the frontline in case another invasion would take place. After the alliance was established I was free to return to my other duties. But the ones that were supposed to accompany me are nowhere to be seen. I know nothing of them now. Meanwhile I was called again... by you my Lord. That is the reason why I did not finish my mission. If necessary I will finish what I started afterwards."

[OOC: Seeing as I am no longer affiliated with the Empire, I have no more interest in this thread. However, that would be unfair on you and Marcus, so I have given you your orders. Now it is up to the pair of you to continue the thread together or alternatively, Venom can pull in another roleplay to develop the thread with you. Good luck and I look forward to any other threads I will roleplay with you guys. :D]

"You can make up for the failed Vaynai mission, whatever might have been the circumstances behind the failure and make up for it by heading to Metalorn." Darth Vazela walked a nearby console near to the throne and activated it, by pressing upon it's buttons. When he called the holographic display of the munitions world, did he continue. "Republic insurrectionists have begun the stages of rebellion against Imperial rule of this world. You will head to Metalorn and quell the rebellion. Should you succeed, I will award you governorship. Should you fail, consider yourself out of service, for a very long time."

Turning the console off, he spoke as he returned to his throne. "If you wish to bring Faust with you, so be it. Dismissed."
