OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To take an old custom species and improve upon it.
  • Canon: N/A
  • Links: Liran
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Subject L-84, 'Liran Prime'
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Origins: Csillian Laboratories
  • Average Lifespan: 80
  • Estimated Population: Unique
  • Description: Subject L-84, also known unofficially as Liran Prime, was an experiment done by Csillian Laboratories to create a pure Liran from a strain of ancient Liran DNA. L-84's DNA was discovered by chiss scientsts and taken to their labs in order to reconstruct this being. The idea of having an original Liran, untainted by generations of cloning, was entirely too much to pass up. After decades of research and experiments, the Chiss were able to turn a strand of DNA into a living being, a pure Liran.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type I
  • Average Height of Adults: 1.7 meters
  • Average Length of Adults: N/A
  • Skin color: Blue
  • Hair color: N/A
  • Distinctions:
    Hairless
  • Lekku-like appendages

[*]Races: None
[*]Force Sensitivity: Non-Sensitive
Strengths:
  • Intelligent: L-84 displays high levels of intelligence much like the Liran. Being raised within a chiss laboratory has given her significant advantages when it comes to education.
  • Pure: As an untainted Liran, L-84 is unburdened by the downfalls that affect the Lirans of today. L-84 does not possess the delicate bone structure of Lirans, is not burdened by memories of those that came before her, and is capable of reproducing naturally.
Weaknesses:
  • Sunlight: L-84 seems to still be affected by sunlight. Being directly in the rays of a star causes multiple symptoms including irritation of skin, nausea, and painful headaches.
  • Unique: Only a single strand of untainted DNA was recovered by chiss scientists. L-84 is one of a kind. To lose her would mean the extinction of the pure Liran species.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Omnivore
  • Communication: Cheunh, Galactic Basic
  • Technology level: Galactic Standard
  • Religion/Beliefs: None
  • General behavior: L-84 expresses an admiration for acquiring knowledge. She spends much time reading and experimenting with technology. She also has an eye for the arts. L-84 enjoys drawing and painting in her spare time as a form of relaxation and escape from the experiments the chiss perform. L-84 shows no sign of displeasure with her current arrangement. In fact, she appears to fear anything outside of the labs due to the indoctrination done to her by the chiss to prevent her from attempting to leave the labs.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Not long after the Iron Empire was dissolved, the Chiss Ascendancy was able to act autonomously. With this new freedom, Csillian Laboratories began to usher in a new era of experimentation in their xenobiological sect. Research was done in regards to species of the present and how they have changed over time. One such species was the Liran, a matriarchal species that has changed vastly due to years of cloning degradation and poor science. A team of scientists set out into the galaxy in order to find a way of curing the Liran of this plight. In their travels they, instead managed to find an anomaly. Several Lirans were discovered to hold strands of pure DNA within their cells. They were broken apart, however, with the right tools, these strands could be assembled together to recreate a Liran from a time long before.

Almost immediately, the science team went to work on this project. They gave the project the unofficial name of 'Liran Prime'.

Many years of biological research kept the team occupied. Genetics, cellular reconstruction, and more all went into the experiment. Many tests were done on several other species in order to ensure their procedures would not go awry. Many beings lost their lives due to this. The project seemed a failure for quite some time.

And then, the team had a breakthrough.

The use of nanotechnology was a new idea among the chiss, but it was certainly revolutionary. The science team began studying the nanotechnology and how it would help them in their current project. Tests were done. Many tests were unsuccessful but one. With this successful test proven to work on multiple subjects, the science team began working on reproducing the Liran DNA. They were patient with this experiment to ensure they would not fail. The nanotech read the pure DNA and began to reconstruct it. In a matter of weeks, the nanotech was able to reconstruct enough of the DNA to create a pure Liran fetus. This proved to be too much for the nanotech as the bots shorted out after this. The science team kept the fetus incubated within the labs until it grew into a small child. The science team then raised the child into adulthood within the safety of the laboratories, turning her into an intelligent woman capable of saving her species.

They named her Fera.

Greetings! This is very detailed and well thought out submission. I like how it differs from the original a great deal. There are just a few things to go over.

1.) Per the Codex Standardized Rules - Under General Submission Guidelines - You will find a note about Immortality. The "Average Lifespan" will need to adjusted accordingly.

  • Average Lifespan: Unknown, presumably immortal.
2.) If L-84 is actually this Character she should be linked, especially, since it's "Unique" and she's listed as the only one in the history.

Let me know when you've fixed that and I'll get you on your way. Thanks!
