Auction Subach-Innes Blowout Auction Part 2: Starfighters

Status
Not open for further replies.
A mere day before the sudden announcement of an massive Subach Innes auction, every employee found themselves without a job and six months of severance pay. The message they received was the same one that many throughout the galaxy were now seeing.

Subach-Innes is closing. Please join us for the Blowout Auction.

Taking place over the Holonet, there was only a ten credit buy-in. The host was a nondescript man, not noteworthy in any sense.
Every schematic for sale included the complete master design file, as well as the legal exclusive production rights. While no one could just copy the file from an image, it was easy to determine that these were legitimate files. No chance on getting burned.

Those items that had been made for political or corporate entities would be given preferential treatment on acquisition.

Starfighters - All design bids starting at one million credits
Support Ships - All design bids starting at one million credits
Note:
All designs, for parts or whole, of the E-class series, TIE Detonator, and TIE Spectre, TIE Harbinger, Guardian-class Assault Monitor, TIE Bow Elite Starfighter, and TIE Agitator will be turned over to Sienar Fleet Systems, free of charge, to settle any standing legal matters.

Note 2:
Any designs not awarded to PCs will be assumed taken by private interests and thrown to the void of NPCs.

Note 3:
Design price points were made according to listed prices of comparable ships on the Wookiepedia times seven. Bids for single ships for private collectors can be made. The minimum bid for these is one tenth the starting design bid price.

Note 4:
The auction will close in a little more than seventy-two (72) hours, at 8 PM EST on the 26th.

It was the same deal as with the other Subach Innes auctions, with the exception of the fact that the prices were unfathomably lower. Aynea herself could bid twice the opening bid on every last craft and still have dozens of millions to take luxury in. Aynea had bigger projects in mind.
"One point twenty five million on everything," Saera timidly shouted.
She wasn't going to let her mother ruin the company, the only thing [member="Enigma"] loved as much as the family, even if it meant keeping everything safe herself.

The bidding continued. Except for the Eightgun; that bid was dropped as it was made on accident and Saera didn't want customers to violate various gun laws.
Saera expected that as some of the lots were tagged with different galactic governments, there might have been previous contracts between those entities and Subach Innes. Saera was more than willing to speak to the leaders of those entities in order to make sure their supply continued smoothly and cheaply.
(Edit) Saera also stopped bidding on the shuttle and miner. Larraq deserved to have them. Maybe.

A message went out to [member="Captain Larraq"], even though the last time she had contacted him, the reply wasn't so friendly. She hoped and desired for this time to be mutually pleasant.
[Dear Rygel Larraq - I have intentionally stopped bidding on the boarding shuttle and gas miner because they are more in line with your company and out of the line of mine. If you could let me try to win the Maw fighter, I'll share the designs with you, free of charge. We don't do business in the Mandalorian region, so there's no need to worry about competition. We can divide the cost and bid together if you don't trust me! -Saera]
Saera had never crossed Larraq or the Mandalorians before. She was a child of Mandalore herself. She didn't fight and she never bothered anyone wherever she went.

"Ten million credits for the Maw!"
Aynea did it for the lulz.
No sane person would jump such great quantities of credits, but Aynea was not exactly (or literally) the pick of her litter either.

Larraq had plenty of credits to spare.

EDIT: Suddenly noticed the sub lacked an actual Stygium cloak

12 million.

With word from Danger, Saffron would take over the bids as her proxy. A smile would come from the Companion as she would take on the empathic sensations from those around her.

A small list was held in front of her, of those key elements that her momma required her to bid upon. As practiced before, she would bring out her sabaacc cards, the Force rippling as the young woman would shuffle them. Her senses would bloom, and that method of persuasion and compliance would bleed from her.

Practice makes perfect.

But for now, she would hold her bids until she could read every single being in the auction.

Saera's mothers together had billions of credits. That didn't make it worthwhile to spend them all. The Maw wasn't likely to generate a positive return on the investment it had already begun to demand and was no longer a sound business venture. If the others' prerogatives were to blow credits, Saera would only sit back and watch as they did.
