“Silvers, this is Vestige One-One. Looks like your artillery has the range on that broadcast site. Might want to send in a bombing run to finish the job.”

"Scramblers destroyed, general" the MLRS unit commander reported in. "The Metal Lords successfully destroyed the third, while the ORC army has taken up positions to hit the shield generator"

"Any sign of enemy forces?"

"There are scattered presences near the trenches, but mostly anti-aircraft arrayed around the main objectives, with a few anti-infantry units for good measure"

"Move into the dry riverbed: it's going to be our own trench here"

It appears that the Contingency ground forces were running around like headless chickens in the Machine's region. Either they devoted too many forces to defeat our remaining ground forces, mostly First Order and Silver Jedi, launching the other two prongs of the assault elsewhere in the city, or the enemy commander is worse than even the Sith Empire, she thought, while pondering their next move. In the meantime, the rocky dry lake was ground zero, whereby all droid forces in there were annihilated, either by the thermobaric charges themselves, debris from the falling rocks or debris from their own downed equipment, and a very similar scene was being played out in the cactus forest. It was a miracle, from Jessica's standpoint, that the remainder of the First Order ground forces present elsewhere on Tartarus didn't attempt to fight MG Soja's force, nor did Ranulph attempt to engage her. At best, the main enemy force was destroyed in a bombardment effecting areas around the scramblers. At worst the enemy is deeply entrenched in a position to ambush should the organic factions' forces attempt to charge towards the trenches, and lulling them into a false sense of security, even though the trenches to her right were set ablaze. With the destruction of the scramblers to the hands of rocket artillery, it is time to hit the enemy command center, given that the ORC force has taken to hit the shield generator, with [member="Elaine Thul"] covering their backs. With so many thermobaric charges laying around, there ought to be enough firepower to level the command center, now that the enemy shields were faltering. Once her forces were done moving into the dry riverbed...

"Hit the enemy command center! We can deal a crippling blow to the enemy C3ISTAR right here, commence bombardment"

"But, general, we can't hit the command center with particle cannons" the tank squadron commander retorted.

"Hit the anti-aircraft at the top of the hills; we might be able to take their support elements along with those"

The volley of thermobaric charges being fired at the enemy command center, a sprawling complex bristling with troops, was simply devastating. In addition, the enemy expected them to hit the citadel, but since the remaining forces present were already hard at work hitting it, it came as a surprise, or as a feint. Or the ORC did said feint. Due to the nature of thermobaric charges, the blast will infiltrate through the valleys between the hills, and hit every droid nestled at the bottom of the hills. That was a truly glorious explosion, but that was perhaps too easy a victory to be true. Perhaps they were foiled by scramblers that nullified both their sensor signatures and their ability to fight. After the enemy C3ISTAR was taken out, the SJ airpower split up in two pieces for the attack: the interceptors were strafing the shield generator, while the bombers were dropping medium Deathballs onto the Citadel, which was having a very bad day as a result.
