Material: Crystallized Force Lightning, residual Force energy, trace metallic particles, condensed emotional imprint.
SPECIAL FEATURES
Hums faintly when exposed to strong emotion, danger, or active Force use.
May be used as a focus for Sith sorcery, emotional amplification, rituals, or Force-based meditation.
Can provide a brief surge of violent clarity, helping the bearer push through fear, hesitation, or pain for a short time.
May be set into jewelry, armor, a weapon, a talisman, or carried loose as a personal relic.
Provides limited protection against electric, lightning, and ionic effects. The crystal serves as a conduit, drawing a portion of excess energy toward itself and away from its wielder.
STRENGTHSCaptured Storm: Humbarine Stormglass contains the essence of two Force storms created by the effects of Carnifex’s atmospheric manipulation, Quinn Varanin’s Phobis device, and Srina Talon’s Dread Ritual. Captured by Mercy through Thronegrasp, the energy was reshaped into crystals that contain a fragment of power from the storm. It can be used as a tool for rituals, magicks, and dark side meditation.
Violent Clarity: When drawn upon, the Stormglass may provide a brief surge of focus and resolve. This does not remove pain, fear, or hesitation, but it can help the bearer push through them for a short period.
Conductive Ward: The Stormglass can draw in a portion of electric, lightning, or ionic energy directed at the bearer, helping reduce the effect of such attacks or environmental hazards.
Battlefield Relic: The Stormglass is a reward and a memento. It carries a genuine residue of the Humbarine invasion, making it useful as a symbol, ritual component, intimidation piece, or personal focus.
WEAKNESSESLimited Protection: The Stormglass does not provide immunity to electricity, lightning, Force Lightning, or ionic weapons. It can only draw away a portion of the energy, and powerful attacks may overwhelm it entirely.
Overload Risk: If exposed to too much energy in a short period, the Stormglass may crack, discharge violently, burn the bearer, or become inert.
Emotionally Volatile: The shard responds best to fear, fury, dread, triumph, and bloodlust. Calm or balanced users may find it difficult to control, while unstable users may find it makes their worse impulses louder.
Limited Surge: Any empowering effect is brief and taxing. Overuse may leave the bearer exhausted, emotionally frayed, or more vulnerable to manipulation through fear and anger.
Dark Imprint: The shard carries the emotional stain of the Humbarine invasion. Jedi, lightsiders, and those sensitive to psychic residue may find it disturbing or outright painful to handle.
Fragile Relic: Despite its supernatural origin, the shard can still be cracked, shattered, or rendered inert through sufficient physical damage, purification, or Force-based disruption.
DESCRIPTIONOn Humbarine, two storms created by Darth Carnifex and Quinn Varanin merged together and were tamed by Srina Talon to serve as a weapon against the Mandalorians. In the midst of this, Mercy captured a stray lightning bolt and dispersed it with her eldritch arm, Thronegrasp. In the aftermath, Mercy realized that her arm still contained traces of the storm’s energy. Rather than allow that power to fade, she trapped it within crystals formed from the battlefield Srina and she had shared.
The result was Humbarine Stormglass: small shards of captured lightning, corrupted by the nightmarish horrors of the battle that created them. Each shard hums faintly when held, especially in moments of danger, strong emotion, or active Force use. The glow within the glass is rarely stable. Some pieces burn with cold violet light, others with red or blue flashes buried beneath the surface, as if the storm is still trying to find a way out.
Afterwards, Mercy distributed the crystals to those who fought hardest on Humbarine, offering them reward and memento of the world. Every time they looked upon the Stormglass, they would be reminded of the pitched battle they fought there. Every time they touched it, they would remember the Force storms raging over the surface of the world and the emotions that carried them through it.
Essentially, Humbarine Stormglass is a dark side focus and conductive relic. It can aid Sith rituals, emotional amplification, and Force-based meditation, while also offering limited protection from electric, lightning, and ionic effects by drawing a portion of that energy into itself.
