Restricted & Banned Materials [X]

Starship Forum Rules
  • For rules on what ships can be owned and operated by a Major Faction, Minor Faction, Company or Individual refer to the following table.
S4mMH67.png
  • Only a Major Faction may acquire a Super Star Destroyer / Dreadnought by submitting 3 PvE threads as part of the submission. For more information regarding SSD / Dreadnoughts, please consult the Factory Rules.
  • Civilian vessels/stations are defined as having an armament rating of 'None' and, if they have a hangar rating, should not be able to field a compliment of starfighters in a combat capacity.
  • Only a Major Faction has the resources necessary to role-play having a large fleet, army, etc.
Production Guideline
For a Mass-Produced starship, start with all values at Average for a Mass-Produced piece of technology. For each increase you should:
  • Reduce the Production value. OR
  • Reduce another rating (e.g. increase Increase Speed while decreasing Defenses). OR
  • Provide balance with genuine and significant weaknesses.
For help keeping everything balanced, you may want to refer to the Starship Spreadsheet Tool. (Please note that this starship spreadsheet tool is just meant as a guideline. Please refer to the template for the final word on balancing ships)
Note: As a general rule, the Factory rounds down, not up.

ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • The T69D is a a very versatile, jack of all trades starfighter can can fulfill multiple roles in a pinch.
WEAKNESSES
  • The trade off is that the T69D doesn't excel in any particular field and can be easily out performed by a more dedicated starfighter.
  • The T69D's engines are highly susceptible to damage due to cheaper components used in its construction.
DESCRIPTION
Hardly the highlight of Incom Corporation's legendary X-Wing production run, the T69D was designed to provide planetary forces with a jack of all trades starfighter on a shoe-string budget. Unfortunately, this meant that corners were cut during the manufacturing process and the introduction of several components that aren't quite military grade. The vessel still features the distinctive astromech socket and has now incorporated an after-market addition of an active jammer.

DESCRIPTION
An update of the original model by RSS, the Marauder-class corvette is an attempt to correct the company's mistakes of the past and redeem what should have otherwise been a successful production run. Primarily designed to serve as a heavy escort for capital vessels, it is fully equipped and rated for both offensive and defensive measures and sports a squadron of starfighters primed and ready for combat, the latter being used to offset the relatively limited maneuverability and speed the vessel boasts for its size.

DESCRIPTION
The Lancer was built in response to a growing need to counter the increasing starfighter reliant pirate forces within the Kuat system. Featuring exceptionally fast engines and a high level of maneuverability, the vessel can quickly counter and chase down starfighters in a pinch, making it ideal for picket duty. Which is ideal as it is not suited for more aggressive combat due to the meager defenses it boasts and distinct lack of squadron support to round out its capabilities.

DESCRIPTION
True to the name, the Bulwark is an intimating defensive warship with exceptional combat capabilities, being designed to take and hold a position against overwhelming odds. It features extensive shields, capital grade turbolaser banks and advanced ion cannons. The drawback is that it lacks the speed and maneuverability to fully take advantage of its full range of combat options, being only moderately better than the average space station in that regard. It also lacks military grade systems for a vessel of this class, making many scratch their heads over what the design team were up to.

DESCRIPTION
Ever see a vessel that you can't explain, understand or even begin to believe? That's this one right here. An unholy vessel cobbled together by some of the finest Genosian engineers you can afford for a very limited budget, the Nyeta Bom'loo-class Dreadnought is both the pride of the Jawa Empire and the shame of the rest of the collective galaxy. Essentially an extremely powerful engines strapped to what can only be described as a gigantic sandcrawler on steriods, it roves throughout the galaxy at a breakneck speed, allowing all those onboard to experience both the true meaning of Utinni and the feeling of dread all the same time as it struggles to make even the most basic of adjustment maneuvers.

Give us some idea of how it might perform its function, what it excels against and what some limitations of it are. This is where you talk about your idea, flesh it out over at least a good-sized paragraph, and address some of the ways it might be used or abused. All miscellaneous descriptive elements go here, such as Cargo Capacity, Passengers, Consumables, Crew, etc. For especially powerful or ambitious submissions, a very thorough description is recommended.)
