GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Star Angels
  • Affiliation: Mandalorian
  • Classification: Anti-defense strike squadron.
  • Equipment: 12x GF-3 Talon Fighters, various munitions
  • Description: A unit designated for anti-point defense operations, the Star Angels, who use the image of a Diathim on their patch, are a volunteer squadron made up of Talon Fighters. Formed to assist other strike squadron by knocking out enemy defenses. While the unit may be called the Star Angels, the pilots within it are nicknamed the "Nether Hounds" as an ironic name. The unit's motto “Bikadinir haar sur'haais,” is Mando'a for "Stab the eyes," and a reference for one of the main targets, scanners.
COMBAT INFORMATION:

  • Combat Function: The Star Angels use the Talon's agility and strong weapons to avoid point defense fire and disable them. The Star Angels do this by pushing ahead of their ally strike squadrons and getting the enemy's attention.
Strengths:
  • Trained to fly through and destroy enemy point defense system.
  • Agile fighters.
  • Volunteers means pilots are less likely to bale on their mission.
Weaknesses:
  • The Talon is not a very durable.
  • The dangers of the mission mean there is a high risk of loses.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Created to engage enemy surface defenses and keep ally strike squadrons safe, the Star Angels are a volunteer squadron that use the GF-3 Talon to both distract and engage enemy point defenses. The until now, the unit has train by assisting various Mandalorian groups with missions that require getting heavy air support into areas with strong point defense systems. Currently, the Nether Hounds continue to train, waiting for their next mission to strike.
