Description: Based in design on the Fang Fighter, and in role on the GF-2 TwinTail, the GF-3 Talon Fighter is a multi-role fighter meant to be used by the whole of the United Clans of Mandalore. The fighter, unlike the X-wing, has had its defensive ability reduced to make way for better weapons and agility. Pushed by a pair of ion-jet engines with thrust vectoring, the larger fighter is highly capable of avoiding enemy fire, while balancing it out with added weapons systems.

While the fighter was designed to fill the same role as the X-Wing, it has an wider and longer silhouette making the Talon easier to hit. To alleviate some of the danger, ablative armor was used over standard hull plating, allowing the craft to remain light, but still take some damage. Of course, once the ablative plates are burned away, the fighters have to rely on agility to avoid being damaged further, but by that time, skilled pilots can get the upper hand.
