The Widow

The Southern Systems Business Bazaar
Narayana Galactic Trade Station
Northern Sector | Auction House Aurek

The Expo on Narayana was already underway. Thousands of visitors flocked from personal spacecraft or mass transit freighters, each wanting to score a good deal or simply have a good time. The delicious scent of deep fried street foods from various vendors along with those of the classic McYodas and Yum Bunnies were enough to get any stomach rumbling with hunger.
But for those who were eyeballing the scrolling text of information on when the first Auction of the Expo would hit, there was a different sort of craving stirring.

Vanir Technologies, Mandal Motors, and Daw Motors would be the first to auction off their goods for credits or barter. It was known that these three companies preferred to barter, more so than just merely offering credits. That meant that anyone could very well trade services or other products for what was currently on the lots.
Upon the stage, a voluptuous Twi'ek by the name of Alisha'ven would be the emcee for the evening. With a wave of her blue hand, she attempted to calm the growing crowd. Dozens of holocameras would zoom in and an out of place, recording the live event as scrolling holographic images and details of the upcoming auctioned lots would show on floating holoscreens and through the SSB Holonet Shopping Network.
"How's it going there folks?" she called out with a flashing grin, lavender eyes wide amidst the bright lights of the stage. Cheers and hollars were the response followed by Alisha's honeyed plea, "Now, now, I reckon I'm not the face ya'll were looking to see."
There were a few catcalls and a few murmurs of agreement. For years, the Southern Systems Business Expo had its grand opening emceed by the Queen of Trade herself.
With a flash and a wink, Alisha added, "Well then... guess its a good thing I found someone on the way here!" A sweeping gesture followed by her, "Ladies and gentlebeings, please welcome Danger Arceneau."
A series of claps and wolf whistles would follow, the spotlight swinging towards the right of the stage where the redheaded woman ambled her way out with a thousand watt smile and that signature crimson dress. Full-hipped and with auburn hair streaked with its fair share of gray, the owner of the Arceneau Conglomerate brought her hand up and gave a wave.
"Well, well, well," that signature drawl went floating across the din, enhanced by the speakers that projected her voice.
"I must say... Ya'll really know how to impress a girl!" she added, chuckling to herself, "Reckon ya'll made my evenin' what with how many of ya'll turned out for this openin'"
The holographic screens would project the image of the woman slowly walking across the stage. "I'd like to thank each and every one of ya'll for taking the time to come here for the week of the expo. We've come far in our little neck of the 'verse and it is all because of you," she swept her hand out towards the crowd, that brilliant smile shining.
"I reckon, however, that seein' little ol' me aint' what you really are after," a few chuckles, another wolf whistle and one or two denials floated on by.

"That's okay, I reckon I'd be keen on gettin' to the goods myself." she added, flashing a wink.
"I'd like to introduce the illustrious Vanir Technologies, Mandal Motors, and Daw Motors." Danger began, the screens behind her flickering on the various lots and their items.
"As always I aim to ensure you get the best of the best and take my word, you got it here." bringing her arm up, the Queen of Trade gave the sign.
"So wait no more folks, let the first Southern Systems Business Bazaar Auction of the expo begin!"
