Valessia smiled and then typed out a message to her daughter [member="Alessandra Creed"].

Congratulations on your promotion to Minister of Commerce, I got you a little something, mommy loves you. <3

A small beep caught Aeri's attention. Her eyes went wide at the signature right at the end of the message. Ta’a Chume Allana Badeaux, of the Hapes Consortium??

This...well, was an interesting turn of events.

Quickly responding back, Aeri provided the Lwhwek at a deep discount. If anything, providing a valuable commodity for the Ta'a Chume of the Hapes Consortium meant that it was a way to bring good will.

Greetings, Ta'a Chume,

Forgive me for not properly addressing you. I deeply apologize. We would be happy to provide the Lwhwek at a 70% discount. I can only hope that this is to your liking?

Above all else, is there anything else we may be able to do to make your stay more comfortable?

Best Regards,

Aeri Vyn

The message came from the CEO of Corellian Engineering. The Zeltron gave a smile. He had accepted the invitation. Rising from her perch she motioned for a nearby L3-37 droid to relay to the guards to allow him entry.

Within a few moments, Cal Sedaire would be escorted to the VIP room as soon as he arrived. With a smile, Aeri would walk over to shake his hand.

"Welcome to the Southern Systems Business Bazaar, Mr. Sedaire. I can only hope you are enjoying yourself. Thank you for coming."

Gesturing towards the vast, comfortable suite, she added, "Would you like a drink?" sure they were to talk business, but Zeltrons were notorious for wanting to make sure everyone was having a good time while conducting any sort of activity.

"So, Haven Shipyards along with Arceneau Trade is interested in conducting business with Corellian Engineering again. Any thoughts on what I had suggested earlier in the missive I sent?"

It was always nice to catch up with Makai. Truly, while the teenager was slowly growing up to be a man, even looking at him now with his lanky frame and his mop of hair, Danger could only see the six year old she met several years ago.

Accepting the candied apple and the card, Danger returned the embrace and gave him a warm hug. She even gave him a solid kiss on the temple, her smearless red lipstick at the very least not leaving a lingering stain.

"Well, reckon it is good to see you enjoying the auctions, Mistah Dashiell," the twinkle in her eye shone of mischief at the quip and use of Makai's last name instead of his given one. While she just wanted to pinch his cheeks, Danger figured that he was also trying his best to do what he was supposed to do.

Taking makai's lead as an example, she nodded for him to sit down beside her on a nearby couch.

"So, what can I do for you today?" it was hard not to give a wide smile. She really did want to ruffle his hair so.

A smile declined the drink, but the same smile and firm yet gentle handshake showed a truly happy expression. Eye contact, engaging expressions. Cal had went to school once CorSec had medically retired him, and it had changed him deeply. Psychology and more truly expanded his mind, as did his business career, and the former beat cop and street sergeant had turned combat instincts and street smarts into a cunning business mind.

"No thank you. Already had a few catching up with my brother earlier. Who knew Jedi could drink like that? I think, to be honest, I can happily tender those vessels your guys' way. At a good discount too. And the crew that brought them here aren't CEC, but are mostly native Corellians contracted to us, and trained by us, so i'm sure they'd be willing to discussing changing their labor contracts over too. That way you don't have to hunt for crews."

Cal paced a bit inwards but never drew further in than Aeri did, mindful of social protocol and etiquette. Something his brother and father lacked, but then he took after his mother and her family anyhow.

"I am most keen on the TibX and the possible alternatives you mentioned. Particularly the latter. I came up to these lofty heights as a shipwright first, so the new technology is something I am quite interested in... Though all of it does honestly. And I think a fusion of our freighter and aftermarket fame and your engineering prowess and reach could net us something quite spectacular..."

Aeri gave a smile. He had a charm about him that amused the Zeltron. Corellians were always so interesting. Stubborn; but interesting.

"Glad that I was able to pick up on the goods then." Aeri said, pouring herself a drink as he did not want one. "Well, we have different types of fuel and fuel cell chargers. We are actually in the process of synthesizing a biofuel that can match hyperfuel. With ongoing research, we imagine we can provide a method of feeding this sort of fuel as a boost for speed for any ship that would require it."

Aerin took a drink, giving a nod, "I imagine that we can come up with a beneficial arrangement that can help both of our companies. We'd like to go into partnership with Corellian Engineering if at all possible. Haven Shipyards and MaraTibx would certainly compliment your business."

"I have a project in the works, a limited line.. Honestly it could use the power those Isotope 5 reactors you have sitting about provide. Designing a birthday gift to the Green Jedi, and for whatever other Orders can afford the cost."

Smiling, he trailed fingers along a table edge and turned to look at the Zeltron, careful to maintain a relaxed posture and slow turn so as not to be seen as aggressive. Zeltrons didn't just pump pheromones, they were champions of nonverbal communication and one had to keep that in mind when dealing in business with them. So he made slow, calm movements and kept his voice mellow and words choices not too long nor clipped and casual. The small details made the next layer of the foundation more secure, or so he found.

"I think the first order between us might be use of your Solarium Glasteel and those reactors I mentioned earlier. When your alternative line is fully operational, i'd love to develop a starfighter and freighter or two to showcase it... Any particulars you were wanting of us, miss?"

"Enjoying the food more than the auctions."

Lanky legs stretched out in front of him as they sat on the couch. Makai had been eating his way throughout the auctions, he was a growing boy after all. Bidding had been interesting. More or less picking what he thought his father would need or want. A bit of a daunting task for a teenager.

"I was wondering two things. One could Sedna Mining lease one of your world eaters? The refining vessel I was bidding on. Perhaps a short term lease with an option to buy at the end?"

His father would probably end up buying the massive vessel in the end but Makai felt options were important.

"Secondly can Ellie be released from her punishment a little early? Its really my fault she did what she did and she shouldn't be punished for my actions."

[member="Makai Dashiell"]

Ah, now this was the bit that just made the younger Dashiell seem all too cute. With a grin, Danger sat down and simply enjoyed the moment. That moment when Makai did his best to try and negotiate with her as a representative of Salacia.

"We do offer various options for the refining vessels," Danger began slowly, keeping her expression neutral despite the fact that he made her giddy doing this.

"What are you lookin' for and what are you willin' to offer?" the ball was on his court on that one. As for Myra...

"Myra knew what she was gettin' into by flyin' halfway across the galaxy. You didn't tell her to run off. That was her idea. She needs to recognize that there are causes and effects to every action and decision. This wasn't yours."

[member="Cal Sedaire"]

“Then we would be happy to supply what you need in terms of Isotope 5 reactors,” Aeri replied. Bringin her datapad, she also added, “We can also provide a long term contract for solarium glasteel at a highly discounted rate. “

Particulars? Well, Aeri gave a small smile,” It is always a version of you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours,” the Zeltron said mildly amused,”If we could perhaps partner on a few ships with Haven Shipyards -- perhaps even help with the design of a heavy duty hyperdrive engine that can handle flying a heavy cargo liner?”

Not to mention,” But that isn’t the only thing -- we would like to see if perhaps you can test out our new hyper bio fuel. If CEC ships are already fast -- we bet that with our fuel, they can go even faster.”

"how does that sound?"

Grinning with a flash that would do the legendary Solo proud, Cal winked at the particulars.

"I cut my teeth designing ships, and in hyper-spatial research in particular... We have some new products that can guarantee speed, and depending on how heavy that heavy is, i'm sure we can do something for your needs in regards to the hyperdrive. I'd be happy to test your bio-fuels in any number of ships. I'd be interested to see how it compares to coaxium as a standard fuel source... So I think we have an accord, my dear..."

"Just one vessel to try out. The World Harvester.Negotiation of rental payment is flexible of course, but perhaps we can sweeten the deal by offering a percentage of profits from raw materials pulled during our trial period. If everything goes well and Dad finds this to be a profitable venture then after the three months are finished there would be an outright purchase."

There was some talk of sending him off on the World Harvester to get some experience in leading a crew on his own. Makai hadn't done much mining but his father was speaking of sending him for a crash course or two before the negotiations with Miss Arceneau were nailed down. Likely his father was trying to keep him busy and out of trouble.

"Technically it is my fault Ellie ran off. If I hadn't left she would have never followed me." Makai did feel responsible on some level for Ellie just up and leaving. Not having Ellie free to visit was also a punishment for him yet it seemed fitting. Consequences still echoed from his time in Chiss Space. He may have tried running from his problems but a good number were still waiting when he got home. "However...I respect your decision. Its not my place to interfere, just thought it wouldn't hurt to ask."
