JEDHA: MALAMUT

Jedha has all kinds of out-of-the-way corners. Malamut is outer-of-the-way than most of them. Formerly home to a piratical salvage crew, now it’s basically just an abandoned junkyard. It’s been selected as a site for a friendly training exercise, a simulated battle between warriors from the CIS and the SJO.

Two forces have converged on Malamut: Twenty low-tech but hardcore Shield Maidens sent by [member="Scherezade deWinter"], and a dozen elite troops sent by [member="Tom Taff"]. They’re all armed with dummy weapons that’ll sting or incapacitate, maybe even break bones, but not kill. It’s spring on Jedha, and 20 degrees Celsius.

OOC rules:
 • No PCs: you’re controlling only your NPC teams.
 • ‘Dragged to safety’ is fine, ‘killed in action’ is fine, ‘buried in rubble for later recovery’ is fine. (Within the context of the simulated game, anyway.) What’s not fine is not losing troops. YOUR LOSSES ARE UP TO YOU. DON’T WRITE THE OTHER SIDE’S INJURIES/DEATHS.
 • No air strikes.
 • No vehicles heavier than a speeder bike.
 • Please clearly establish, relative to cardinal directions and/or landmarks, where your troops are on the map. This is especially important if you split them up.
 • Have a stupid amount of fun please.

Jehda spring time. The Owls and Cats looked around for a moment before double checking their equipment noting they had everything they needed to be loud or to snipe. As such they took a quick movement from their drop point with their leader as they entered one of the Chopshops and finding their way to the roof leaving two down stairs with their werewolf machine guns ready to fight anyone who tried coming into the building. They all began setting up as they waited for their enemy to approach.

Set up so they they were able to see the north road and the main junkyard not expecting their enemies to be dropped in behind them. The two on the ground would set up so they were able to do the same right near the stair well in the hopes of keeping any kind of enemies shouldn't be able to pass by them. So they waited for the simulation to start.

The Shield Maidens of Stewjon blinked in annoyance. The field of battle that had been chosen for them that day was in a territory they were unaccustomed to; open plains, harsh sun, and sand. The women, all of whom hailed from Stewjon, were used to snow and forests, more humidity in the air, and feeling less out in the open. Their fighting furs obviously did not belong here.

And yet without them, they would be less armored. It had been a tough decision on Freya's end to tell them all to remain fully dressed. The Fyrst sighed, the women gathering up behind the southern boulder, which was big enough to hide them all for the time being.

"Kristanja, Magna," Freya turned to two of the smaller women, though small was hardly a word that could be used against any woman within the Shield Maidens, "you're the only ones who get to remove your fur. I need you to go forward and scout. See what it is we're dealing with. Report back."
