Description: As the largest spaceport on Morellia, and one of the large spaceports in SSC territory, it featured about 50 docking bays for light freighters and other ships that regularly run routes fron and to Morellia. As such it is the main facility for use by the Morellian Weapons Conglomerate to transport slugthrowers off-world as well as passengers. It features two side aprons for passenger use with the central apron being used for cargo operations. The spaceport's four runways are actually used to load and unload cargo from speeder trucks and trains, as well as for ground transportation.

History: Spaceport Derretowa was first constructed to meet the needs of the Morellian Weapons Conglomerate as well as those of its staff, several centuries ago. As it became a major player in the slugthrower industry, it also underwent several phases of expansion, culminating in the current configuration, where every passenger ship landing on the spaceport's docking bays can have a jetway to protect its occupants from the elements.

Spaceport Derretowa could process about a quarter of a million tons of cargo a day

Please omit this line or edit it to remove the numbers as its very high, even for Star Wars. I would recommend stressing the size of the port in lieu of actual numbers (i.e: one of the larger ports in the SSC).

The Morellia Damotite Massacre, that one thread where it is ICly a central element, explicitly stated that it took the entire stevedoring capacity of the port one hour to process 13,000 tons of cargo, or more precisely 242 containers each weighing 55 tons apiece.

Plus you would think that a planet with a population of ca. ~100 million with one commercial port, that is, that one, could do with said commercial port processing a quarter of a million tons of cargo a day. Not even close to the largest ports in the galaxy; even if we assumed the largest ports in Star Wars to be roughly the same as the largest real-world ports by that sort of metrics, and hypermatter tanking to be the SW equivalent of liquefied gas or oil tanking, that's still 10x as much, more or less. (There's a reason why Dunames ICly is the go-to lady for all things regarding transportation infrastructure for the First Order government)

It's still rather large though, just not among the largest in the galaxy.
