  • Standard Navigational Systems

ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Internal Conveyors: With exceptionally utilitarian to the point of painful of simplicity in most aspects, the SpacePlex has a relatively advanced system of interior conveyors and turbolifts, allowing cargo and passengers to expediently moved around the station or to different berths surprisingly quickly. A person can easily move from one relatively remote section of the station to another similarly remote section on the station in under five minutes thanks to this system.
  • Modular Interior: SpacePlex was designed by CorelliSpace to be highly modular internally through the use of adaptable framing techniques and extensive extra data and power cablings that snake through partions in this framework. While most SpacePlex Stations are used as simple transfer and holding points for passengers and cargoes or as refueling stations, SpacePlexes can also be easily configured into anything from upscale space-going hotels and restaurants to sophisticated droid and starship factories.
  • So Basic it's Advanced: SpacePlex is built using very simple systems which are surprisingly user friendly. While they do not offer the any advanced features, they are extremely easy to use, maintain, and repair to the point where unskilled manpower and basic labor droids can operate and repair the station. This makes SpacePlex very cheap to buy and operate, in many ways making it the Asp Droid of the space station market.
STRENGTHS
  • Adaptable: SpacePlex can be easily configured or modified to serve in any number of roles.
  • Strong Shielding: SpacePlex has very strong shielding, thanks to having a large number of relatively low-powered shield generators and projectors, much early mon calamari cruisers.
WEAKNESSES
  • Not going anywhere soon: SpacePlex is almost entirely immobile, having only a small number of maneuvering thrusters which can allow it to make minor course adjustments to avoid slow-moving incoming obstacles (like rogue asteroids) or maintain geosynchronous orbit over a world.
  • What weapons? SpacePlex has absolutely no weapons, making it utterly reliant on nearby vessels for defense.
DESCRIPTION
The SpacePlex is CorelliSpace's redesign of the venerable Cargo Facility 1 Space Station made previously by VenteX Construction Yards. Exceptionally cheap and simple, the SpacePlex is considered to be a very rudimentary design by most spacers, but it is more than adequate to house most common industrial operations. This has made the station popular with corporate magnates and first-time space station owners who are more concerned about price and operating costs rather than having the latest piece of technology around. Unsurprisingly, this has led most SpacePlexes to be employed in very mundane but necessary roles, such as cargo transfer facilities, refueling stations, and factories for low-technology goods. Some owners have gradually upgraded their stations over the years, leading at least a few SpacePlexes to have radically different abilities and appearances compared to the base model. CorelliSpace itself uses SpacePlex Stations not only as a warehouses, but also as deep space manufacturing facilities for many of its components and small starships.
