: Sophiahhall.
Classification: Private residence, grand estate.

Accessibility: Sophiahall is well-known on Tephrike, as it is the home of one of the planet's power brokers. It would be almost unknown outside of Tephrike, as the planet has been isolated for several centuries. Access is heavily restricted. It is the private residence of a fascist dictator, after all. It is guarded by a contingent of elite soldiers, who will open fire on unauthorised individuals. Walls, weapons' emplacements, motion sensors and other security measures have been set up to deter intruders. The forest that lies adjacent to the vast estate is also monitored.

"On my first visit to Sophiahall, I was awed by its splendour. Then I realised how tasteless it is. I suppose it is better than living in a black tower inside a bleak shadowland. Eisen is not the worst kind of Vaderite. He is part strutting peacock, part conniving gangster. He takes no pleasure from killing, unlike many of his peers. But he can calmly order the death of a comrade in arms, then go back to playing with his jewels and drooling over his paintings."

Sophiahall started as a hunting estate, but is now the palatial residence of Darth Eisen, Grand Marshal, Dark Lord, Supreme Commander of the Skyhammer Fleet, and Supreme Leader of the Disciples of the Vader and the Greater Sith Imperium. He has a host of other titles, but there are too many to list. Eisen was a dashing fighter pilot in his youth, but has now become corpulent. This has made him the butt of his jokes. Ironically, he is probably the only Vaderite leader who does not take offence. As he puts it, if people joke about him, it only proves how popular he is. This is quite accurate. The estate is named after his first Sophia. She supported his rise to power in the hierarchy of the Disciples and the two formed a power couple. However, she died in childbirth. Unlike Anakin Skywalker, Eisen had a legitimate reason to fear for her life, as the medical infrastructure of Tephrike is quite primitive. However, sacrificing slaves and draining them of their life force did not sustain her.

The vast estate been named after Sophia to honour her and features a mausoleum with a crypt, where her ashes have been interred. Sophiahall has evolved from a simple blockhouse and hunting lodge into an estate fit for a king. Eisen has a taste for the theatrical and unrestrained opulence. Thus it has become the site of a majestic villa. Among other things, it features cages for Akk Dogs, an enormous library, salons, pools and a hunting hall. Nautrally it is not lacking in other amenities. Moreover, it has an enormous banquet hall with an equally large panoramic window. It also features a large ballroom and a gameroom with a model train. Naturally, all of it has been paid for by the state. As is typical for dictators, Eisen makes no distinction between the private and the public purse, treating the state as his personal patrimony.

A great avenue of trees leads to the mansion. It has been built around a large courtyard. There one sees flower beds, lily ponds and a fountain with an equesterian statue. Every outer window of the villa offers a view of nature. Eisen's coat of arms - a mailed fist grasping a bludgeon - have been engraved over the porch. Eisen has an enduring love for fine arts and loves to hoard precious artworks. Thus the estate is well-stocked with precious artworks. Most of these artworks have been stolen or expropriated. They even include some artworks that have been classified as 'degenerate'. When questioned about this, Eisen said that degenerate art cannot be degenerate if the Supreme Leader says it isn't. To facilitate these activities, Eisen has set up a special department whose members are charged with looting and cataloguing art.

Originally, he only had a gallery, but then he ran out of space and so many pieces of art had to be put into his cellar. The villa is filled with expensive rugs, tapestries, sculptures and works of art. The amount of opulence on display is quite tasteless. Eisen's office is enormous and resembles a grandiose throne room, though he rarely uses it. The entrance hall is just as absurdly large and filled with paintings. When it comes to his looting activities, Eisen is determined to keep up the facade of being 'proper'. He leaves the dirty work of pressuring and blackmailing people to hand over their possessions to his underlings. The interior of the main building betrays both Eisen's greed as well as his bad taste and obsession with bling. It is packed with colonnades, crystal-chandeliers, aurodium, marble, cryand parquet to the point of being gaudy. Moreover, it resembles a bad ripoff of historical buildings. It is less an homage to classical architecture and more a monument to its owner's colossal vanity. Naturally, it was all paid for with taxpaxers' money and the blood and sweat of forced labourers.

One of Eisen's passions is hunting, and so the estate is located inside a vast forest. Various species of animal native to Tephrike, some of them endangered, have been allowed to roam freely in it. Eisen enjoys rewarding colleagues and subordinates by taking them on hunting trips. Here it is pertinent to note that Eisen strongly disapproves of hunters who make their game suffer rather than killing it cleanly. Indeed, such behaviour arouses a deep fury inside him. As the chief forester of the Sith, he has passed laws that ban the inhumane treatment of animals. Vivisection is banned, so is the use of claw and wire traps, artificial lights and poison. "He who tortures an animal hurts the feelings of the Tephriki people." This is probably one of his few positive characteristics. He does not show even remotely the same care to the many inmates of his prison camps or the slaves who are being worked to death in Sith territory.

Eisen uses Sophiahall as both a private residence and a command centre. This means that his generals and ministers often have to leave their headquarters to visit him there. Moreover, he uses the residence as an official meeting place with other prominent Disciples. He often entertains key government officials and fellow Sith with extravagant feasts. Much to the chagrin of some of his guests, his pets have the run of the house. Sometimes he even invites Sith acolytes who have caught his eye. In contrast to more dour or openly sadistic Sith, Eisen is a gregarious, jovial and eccentric presence who makes a point of being affable to his minions. It has helped make him genuinely popular among many of the Imperium's human citizens.

He has a love of extravagant outfits, greeting visitors in a medieval hunting costume carrying a speer, in a toga and sandald bedecked with jewels or a shiny uniform bedecked with medals. Eisen is openly corrupt, but his extravagance and love of luxury hides an amoral drive for power. Eisen is utterly devoid of scruples and will stop at nothing to attain power, including ordering the deaths of long-time comrades when they get in his way. He is cunning, vain and deceitful, and with a penchant for wild boasting and fits of childish temper when thwarted.

Tephrike is a war-torn planet and power struggles among the members of the Disciples' leadership are a frequent occurence. After all, Eisen got where he is now by stepping over the bodies of his peers. So he has taken many precautions to secure his residence. To this end, it has huge underground bunkers and a large contingent of bodyguards drawn from what amounts to his private army. Moreover, flak towers and other weapons' emplacements have been set up around the estate. Finally, there is also a decoy Sophiahall. Eisen has a special train which he uses to leave his residence. It is just as opulent as his residence.

Like virtually every prominent Vaderite, Eisen is a slaveowner. Because slavery is such a dirty word, he prefers the term indentured assets. The slaves who work here are house slaves. They tend to be aliens. This is in keeping with the Vaderites' human supremacist beliefs. Eisen likes to be seen as a 'proper' master who has given 'his' xenos 'honest work and a purpose in life'. He never administers beatings himself and rarely yells at his slaves. That's what underlings are for. Indeed, he is almost never present when a slave is being punished for 'uppity' behaviour. The worst slave owners are those who make a show of being kind to their slaves. The slaves are constantly under the scrutiny of their master, possess no legal rights and can be resold, sent to a concentration camp, whipped or shot at a whim. Their clothing and bedding are minimal, though those favoured by their master may receive castoff clothes, gifts or the leftovers after a feast.

They do not wear slave collars and receive superior rations than a common slave. To feed the estate, a farm has been set up in close proximity to it. A vineyard has been attached to it The workers are slaves. Overseers are responsible for enforcing discipline. Eisen likes to cast himself as being 'benevolent' and punishing less severely than his peers, but this does not change the nature of the system. After all, he treats them as possessions, not sentient beings with rights. Eisen has involved select slaves in their own exploitation by giving them authority over the rest. This makes it more difficult for them to form a united front and try to escape the systemic oppression.

POINTS OF INTEREST

Grounds:

Courtyard: Directly behind a heavily monitored gate. It is suitably large and well-guarded by an honour guard. One sees flower beds, lily ponds and a fountain with an equesterian statue, along with a huge statue of Darth Vader. Guards are always present and the courtyard has 360-degree security cameras.
Zoo: Eisen keeps his pets here. Much to the chagrin of guests, the Akk Dogs have the run of the house. He's genuinely fond of them.
Theatre - A popular site for theatrical and musical performances to entertain Eisen and his guests. Located under a big glass dome which Eisen has washed every day so the sun shines down on his box and him during performances. A bit uncomfortable for sure, but looks impressive and that is what matters.
Landing Pad - a landing pad suitable for aircraft and small transports. It is connected to the villa by a path.
Gardens - The gardens are a paradise with shade, pretty flowers and exotic aromas. Pavilions can be setup in order to hold soirees outside. The gardeners are 'indentured labourers', which is a fancy way of saying slaves. Still, they are better off than a slave toiling in a mine or a factory, and determined not to be sent some place like that. A group of statues of the great Sith Lords has been set in the garden, all of them looking towards his house in a semicircle. Of course details are sparse on said Sith Lords so some were invented. Historians who doubted the existence of Darth Aristokratos - who coincidentally shares a similar appearance and build to Eisen - were sent firm but polite messages that they needed to 'check their sources'.
Tennis Court - A spacious tennis court near the gardens. Eisen enjoys tennis, but plays by his own rules. These demand that his opponent always land the ball near enough to ensure he does not to have to run.
Golf Course - Eisen considers himself a man of wealth and taste. Golf is an expensive, cultured sport and thus perfect for a 'refined gentleman' like him.
Staff Building - A large building built in a similar style as the main house. Obviously a lot less luxurious, but large enough for living quarters for staff members, a doctor's office, laundry, heating facilities, infirmary, generators, offices and quarters for security personnel and garages.
Greenhouse - The inhabitants of the residence receive regular food deliveries from nearby farms and elsewhere, but due to the greenhouse Sophiahall can grow its own food if the supply lines are disrupted.
Shrine of the Sith'ari - Eisen is not particularly devout, but understands the importance of maintaining appearances. Thus there is a temple on the estate's grounds. Weddings can be officiated here, too. On occasion, Eisen will arrange a marriage for one of his subordinates. He's the Leader, and thus knows best. As of late, he's been looking for a suitable husband for his ward Kyriaki. Surely she'll recognise the wisdom of his choice.
Sophia's Mausoleum - The final resting place for the Sith Lady the estate is named after. It lies opposite the villa, by the lakeside. It is made of alchemised granite. A flight of stairs leads to the vault beneath the ground. Sophia's remains have been interred in an equally alchemised pewter coffin. It is big enough to also contain Eisen's body, for the Grand Marshal has decreed that he will be buried alongside his wife.
The Great Heath - Darth Eisen's personal game preserve. What the Grand Marshal and First Huntsman of the Imperium wants, he gets. In this case, Eisen wanted to lay claim to a forest that could serve as a game preserve and hunting ground for him. He is also the owner of the Great Heath Foundation. He has spared no expenses in maintaining the forest and filling it with game for him and his associates to hunt. He has strict rules against cruelty to animals. Any participant is expected to kill cleanly or suffer the consequences.
Eclipse - The codename of Eisen's armoured train. It is accessed through a private tunnel. The train has two heavy locomotives. His personal car has two luxurious bedrooms with plush carpets for him and his wife as well as small library, and a bathroom with a huge bathtub. Another car serves as a living room and study; a rail car serves as a movie theatre; another car is set up as a command post with - by Tephriki standards - modern communications equipment and a conference room. Moreover, there is a dining car with attached kitchens.

As if this is not enough, the train has a varying number of cars for Eisen's entourage and guests. Sometimes there is a varying number of additional freight cars to account for the Leader's shopping trips. Two freight cars bristle with turrets and anti-aircraft guns. Whenever the train leaves Sophiahall, it is accompanied by a contingent of soldiers. At Eisen's insistence, Eclipse displays his coat of arms, rather than those of the Imperial Railway Service. The latter heeded this command only reluctantly, as they had security concerns, but what the Supreme Leader wants, the Supreme Leader gets.

The Iron Bastion - A massive underground bunker initially constructed as an air raid shelter. The complex consists of two separate bunkers, the upper binker, and the actual Iron Bastion bunker, which is further beneath the earth and to the west of the forward bunker. The bunkers are connected, but can be sealed off from each other. The Iron Bastion bunker is designed to withstand heavy bombardment. Moreover, it is equipped with a - for Tephrike - powerful communications suite and possesses all the amenities that allows Eisen and his family to live here for an extended period of time should it be required.

The Farm: Located a couple miles away from the residence itself, the farm and its inhabitants are responsible for ensuring that the occupants of Sophiahall are well-fed. The workers who toil in the fields and take care of the animals are, for the most part, indentured assets. In other words, slaves. The food is checked by droids before being sent to the villa's kitchen. Guards and overseers ensure that they do not get ideas about their station. The quarters of the slaves stand in stark contrast to opulent splendour Eisen and his family live in, though they receive better treatment than elsewhere.

Nonetheless, the Supreme Leader likes to project the image of being a 'benevolent' owner. Thus when a film crew from the Ministry of Propaganda visited the estate as part of a documentary about Eisen, they also interviewed some select slaves. In the days leading up to the visit, the forced labourers were given new clothes, better rations and a health check-up. It was also made clear to them that if they or their comrades said anything subversive, they would be sent to a concentration camp.

Ground Floor
Entrance Hall - A beautifully furnished entrance hall into the villa. It offers the visitor a glimpse at many rare and expensive works of art, though it is not the only art gallery of the complex. The entrance hall is about one hundred fifty metres wide. The floor is made of marble and covered by expensive carpets. Flights of stairs lead from the entrance hall to the rooms above. A receptionist takes calls and welcomes guests, who wait in the attached room.
The Grand Marshal's Office - An absurdly grandiose and suitably pompous office. It has rich tapestries, carpets and a massives desk with a throne-like chair. Life-sized portraits of Darth Vader and Darth Malitia, the founder of the Disciples of the Vader, hang on the wall. The walk to the office takes quite a bit. The visitor will pass many artworks as well as hunting trophies of Eisen.
Council Chamber: A council chamber built in ancient Sith style. As a result, there are six thrones on each side and Sith Statues abound. Naturally Eisen's grandiose throne towers over everyone else's.
Hall of Triumphs - Essentially a trophy gallery for Eisen. Various trophies from his many hunts, as well as victories over his sentient enemies are on display here. Needless to say he likes to take guests here to show off. In short, it is a temple to his colossal vanity.

Hall of Humanist Culture - A large, baroque gallery with no discernible purpose other than showing off and awing visitors. The whole length of the grand hall glorifies the successes of the Vaderites in general and Eisen in particular. Seventeen mirror arches face seventeen windows that overlook the gardens. Each arch features twenty-one mirrors. The hall serves multile purpose. It is a reception room, and courtiers and visitors with no direct access to Eisen can perchance catch him here to get in a word or pass a note. Spectacular ceremonies such as weddings or diplomatic receptions also take place here.

The hall is decorated by paintings, sculptures and expensive pieces of furniture. The walls and ceilings are beautifully painted. The painting 'One Species, One Empire, One Leader' showcases the Supreme Leader's claim to absolute power. Courtiers often assemble in the hall to wait on Eisen and his family. It is often the site of important social events, such as diplomatic receptions. Eisen has a giant jewel encrusted vase just sitting on a pillar located a bit out of the way and up a bit so it's above headheight. He's just daring someone to try and steal the valuable item. However, it's actually fake and has a trapped knockout gas cannister under it.

Banquet Hall: A vast room held up by pillars of red marble. It can accommodate a large number of people. The tables are covered in silk, while the chairs are white. Because this is not extravagant enough, the curtains are embroidered with the letter 'E' in laurel wreaths is stitched in gold thread. Rich tapestries cover the wall. They depict allegorical figures from Tephriki myths. The windows are made of glasteel. There is a paved terrace outside. There guests will be served by elegantly dressed servants.
The Gold Room and the Silver Room: Two chambers where Eisen presents the many gifts he has received from his colleagues and vassals.
Kitchen - A very well-stocked kitchen. So well-stocked that one could easily forget that many Tephriki are poor and starving and do not have the option to eat cake. Or bread, for that matter. There's a dumbwaiter to quickly move food to the second or third floor.

Second Floor:

Access to the upper and below-ground floors requires a passkey. Whereas the ground floor is mostly a showpiece, the second contains the less formal but arguably more important areas. The second floor includes a conference room, a more informal dining room and several guest bedrooms. Each bedroom has a small, attached ensuite.
Dining Room - A more informal dining room for guests and visitors.
Guestrooms - Several spacious guest rooms, each with a different theme, though they are all luxurious and comfortable. It goes without saying that they are bugged.
Planning Room: A conference room with a potent communications suite. Here Eisen holds conferences with general staff officers and other senior military commanders. Large tables are covered by maps and holographic projectors.

Third Floor:

This is the private area of the villa. It features the bedroom of Eisen and his wife, bathroom, private study and so on. It goes without saying that it offers the most panoramic view, surpassed only by the pool on the rooftop. A secret passage leads down to the basement by means of a small, private turbolift. There is no visible door to access said passage. Eisen has cast a spell on it. The glyphs can only be seen by someone skilled in illusions and mental abilities. So it requires the Force to detect it and access.
Library - An ornate library. Various literary works, datacrons and holocrons can be found here. There are also computers, which are called cogitators on Tephrike. Tephriki computers tend to be very large and still use floppy discs.
Meditation Chamber: Eisen has small room lined with Force conductive crystals to allow him to focus his immense powers. This applies in particular to his prowess as an illusionist. Aside from using Sith magic, Eisen is also talented in the application of the White Current.
Master's Bedroom - The bedroom for Eisen and his wife Antigone. It is predictably grandiose, beautifully furnished and has the best view. Dominated by the king-sized relaxa bed, designed for maximum comfort. It also features an ensuite and an outdoor balcony. Located on an upper floor, it features a shaded balcony. The panoramic, glasteel window offers a brilliant view of the estate. A luxurious master bathroom is attached to it.
Family bedroom - A room on the upper floor has been set aside for Eisen's daughter Zoe from his first marriage. She helps run the estate.
Study: A private study for Eisen. Connected to the residence's library. Here he keeps his favourite books. He loves detective novels, works on Imperial and Tephriki history, aviation, military science, art, travel and exploration. It also features a map of what the Vaderites believe the galaxy looks like.
Alchemy Workshop and Laboratory - a workroom for Sith alchemy and similar pursuits. Even if it is rarely used it looks impressive. Eisen knows better than to summon demonic entities into his house, so most of his more dangerous research takes place at an external facility. Still, the workroom is fully equipped.

Rooftop:

A heated outdoor, infinity pool has been set up on the rooftop. It is one of the highlights of the residence, offering a spectacular view. The pool provides the illusion of a missing edge, as the water seems to flow beyond the edge into infinity. Also has a spa, bar sauna and carbanas.

Basement:

Contains a casino, gameroom, gymnasium, panic room and cinema. Eisen enjoys movies about brave human pioneers colonising the untamed, lawlesss 'Wild Rim' and fighting against bandits and savage alien natives. He is also a fan of shows about bounty-hunters, intrepid crime fighters and criminals. The gymnasium can easily be converted into a shooting range. An armoury is attached to it for Eisen's personal use. It contains all of his armor and weapons inside, and is lined with Force Nullification Resin.

Moreover, the Basement houses Eisen's extensive model railway, with elevated rails and a car racing system. This allows him to go back in time and play schoolboy. He can operate the trains from a control panel besides a red armchair. There are even some model TIEs that can drop small wooden 'bombs' at the press of a button when he wants to simulate bombing runs. He likes to show off his miniature railway to guests.

SECURITY
Maximum

The villa is surrounded by an energy fence and a wall, with guards, defence turrets, weapons' emplacements and watchtowers. The walls are monitored by cameras and movement sensors whilst the gates have movement alarms. The vehicle gate has solid bollards raised in case of an attempt to ram through the gate. Two concealed flak towers have been set up to shoot down enemy aircraft. Security cameras, military grade scanners and motion sensors have been installed up throughout the complex, as have concealed coma gas dispensers.

Anyone allowed to enter the complex will be searched and subjected to a weapons' check. A contingent of about two hundred soldiers is permanently stationed here. This includes veteran paratroopers from the so-called Skyhammer Fleet. They are loyal to Darth Eisen personally. A few of the guards are darkside adepts. There are also a few Stone Guardians, some Harrowers and a very small number of Imperial Sentinels. The latter used to be Jedi of the Dominion of Light, before they were captured and transformed into Sithspawn. Eisen keeps some Jurgorans as pets. His favourite pets are his Akk Dogs though.

There is a shield generator and the main building is protected by a Force Dome. It has glasteel windows, a reinforced building frame, panic room in basement with blastdoor and ray shield. A full security and tracking suite is in place., including cameras, motion sensors and sensor beacons. The glasteel windows resist blasters, slugthrowers and explosive shockwaves. All doors are locked by electronic swipe with emergency code override.

The residence is well-stocked with both food and fresh water. This can allow the occupants to withstand a siege for an extended period of time. A massive underground bunker has been erected beneath the villa. Eisen also has access to an armoured train. A decoy Sophiahall has been set up about 8km away to deceive enemy bombing raids. A unit of engineers is charged with maintaining the decoy site and make it look real enough to fool incoming bombers into thinking that this is the right target.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Sophiahall is close tied to the story of Darth Eisen. Prior to being discovered to be Force-Sensitive, he had been called Alec Dragoumis and made himself a name as an ace pilot. However, then he joined the Sith Order. Rising through the ranks of the Protective Squadron, he became a spymaster and an accomplished illusionist. After challenging and defeating his mentor Lord Acholus in a Kaggath, Alec joined the inner circle of power. Darth Impaler, the Supreme Leader, conferred the title of Darth Eisen upon him.

He had a talent for scheming and ingratiating himself with the Dark Lord. Soon he was supreme commander of the Legions of Dusk, Moff-Governor of Paeonia and economic supremo of the Imperium. His greed and lack of scruples made him one of the richest men of the Imperium. Much of his wealth was built on the backs of slaves. He cultivated the image of an affable dandy, which made him popular among the Imperium's human citizens.

The residence is named after his first wife Sophia Anastas. Like him, she was a Sith. Alec got to know her during his time at Castle Maysaf, the headquarters and main academy of the Sith. She came from a good human family and was a dedicated Humanist. Indeed, she was a lot more of a fanatic than her future husband and heavily into mysticism. She got him interested in the more arcane aspects of the Force. The two became a couple and supported each others' ambitions. This proved a boon when Alec began his rise to power as a spymaster and secret police chief. Their eventual marriage was a lavish affair.

When the aspiring Sith fell out of favour with his Master, Lord Acholus, his wife's connections helped him present his case to the Supreme Leader, who was fond of her. The conflict between the culminated in a Kaggath between master and apprentice, which Alec won. He was acknowledged as a Sith Lord and the title Darth Eisen was bestowed upon him. He had now joined the circle of power. Power, wealth and influence allowed him to amass a large collection of expensive artworks, speeders, and mansions. It also allowed him to bestow favours on his cronies and his family.

Eisen could have laid claim to Acholus' residence. This was his right by Sithy law. Acholus happened to live in a big, spiky tower in a bleak land corrupted by dark magic. It had a huge, black and spiky throne. However, Eisen considered his master's abode to be extremely ugly. The Sith Lord considered himself a man of refined taste, after all. Instead he had something else in mind. Eisen fell in love with the Great Heath during a hunting trip and quickly claimed as much as he could get away with. It lay in his bailiwick and he was the supreme huntsman of the Imperium. Thus three hundred acres were signed over to him for his lifetime use. He ordered the construction of a hunting lodge. This was the future Sophiahall.

Eisen founded the Great Heath Foundation. Officially it was supposed to contribute to the preservation of Tephrike's natural beauty and foster a spirit of connectedness with nature, especially among the urban population. It spearheaded reforestation efforts. However, it also served another purpose. This is shown by the fact that its budget reserved a large sum for hunting expeditions. Even in a regime as corrupt as that of the Vaderites, Eisen was notorious for being a crook.

However, Eisen's ascent was marred by the death of his wife, for Sophia had died in childbirth. He tried to save her by Force draining slaves and feeding her with their life force, but it was not enough. Unlike Anakin Skywalker, Eisen had good grounds to be afraid about his wife dying while giving birth. Sadly, Tephrike does not have the sophisticated medical technology of a First World planet like Coruscant. He also did not choke his wife. Fortunately, his daughter had survived. Eisen eventually remarried, but was deeply shaken by his first wife's death.

Sophiahall was named in her honour. Eisen decreed that its beauty should rival her own. What started as a simple lodge and turned into a vast palatial estate was built in stages over the course of several years. It was conceived as a hunting lodge on an enormous scale. Here, Eisen could hold court and dispense patronage like a king. Sophia's remains were interred in a mausoleum on the estate. Eisen's desire for self-aggrandisement knew few limits, and moral and legal restraints never concerned him. Thus he used legally dubious and often plain illegal means to force nearby landowners to sign over land to him. Those who proved stubborn soon changed their minds after he used his secret police connections. In addition, Eisen spearheaded reforestation efforts in order to create a large forest he could populate with game to hunt. It was conceived as a nature preserve, which doubled as a hunting ground for the first huntsman of the Imperium.

Eisen was selective in his hunting, but jealously guarded his trophies. When one of his guests - a warlord the Sith were trying to woo to their side - shot a magnificient stag during a hunting trip, Eisen chastisted the foresters in charge because he had previously shot a far less impressive specimen while paying a visit to the warlord's realm. Slaves were brought in to toil on the farm and work as house servants. Following the renewal of open war with the Dominion, Eisen ordered the construction of a decoy Sophiahall to deceice enemy bombers. A unit of engineers was diverted from wartime duties to set it up and maintain it. Even though he was busy presiding over the Imperium's economy and air force, Eisen always found time to busy himself with efforts to beautify his residence.

Indeed, as his prestige waned and he became a frequent target of Supreme Leader Hyperion's outbursts, Sophiahall turned into a make believe retreat. The Supreme Leader scapegoated him for military failures, so Eisen began to spend more and more time at Sophiahall. He insisted on holding lavish birthday parties even when the situation on the frontlines was dire. Along with invitations, he regularly sent out a list of gifts he expected his guests to bestow on him. Every year, the Vaderite elite would shower with art and other gifts. Most of them had been stolen from museums or private collections. The Sith Lord had no shame about siphoning off public funds to expand his residence in the middle of wartime, while ordinary citizens lost their homes due to Dominion bombing raids on Imperial cities.

However, while he was drowning himself in hedony, Eisen was plotting. Having learned of a heretical faction of Light Sith who believed the story of Vader's redemption, he tried to use them as pawns against the Supreme Leader and his rival Darth Furcht, the dreaded head of the secret police. At first this scheme worked, but then it backfired spectacularly during the Netherworld Event. The Light Sith took control and Eisen had to flee. Before blowing up Sophiahall, he had his most precious artworks, artefacts and Sophia's remains removed. Unfortunately for the Marshal, he was not able to load all of his booty into trains. Eisen mourned the loss of his beloved mansion. After the 'Light Sith' became embroiled in a war with the Dominion of Light, he was able to stage a return. But it was Furcht who beat him to the punch, crushing the rebellion with savage brutality. Eisen was forced to bend the knee and received the title of Grand Marshal. This title sounded grandiose, but did not confer any additional authority upon him, which made it a calculated insult.

Eisen rebuilt Sophiahall and plotted, biding his time. Now Furcht is dead, having been killed when Firemane bombarded Castle Maysaf. Eisen had the presence of mind to flee the moment the bombardment started, using his powers as an illusionist to escape unnoticed. He has proclaimed himself Supreme Leader, which makes Sophiahall the unofficial seat of government of the Disciples. Other prominent leaders of the cult have already started purchasing land in its vicinity in order to make sure that they will be close to the centre of power. However, other Disciples have contested his claim to the throne. After defeating one of his foes, the son of his old rival Furcht, Eisen had new treasures brought to Sophiahall. Other foes remain at large.
