Hot, swirling sands kicked up against the thick stone and duracrete walls of the compound. Drifts occasionally built up against the base, shifting dunes changing the landscape in front of the cliffs and mesas behind the compound. The compound was old and in desperate need of repairs. Sand had filtered in through cracks, electrical had been gnawed out by rats and a number of doors were missing. Local crews had already came and were filtering in and out of the job. First step : seal the cracks and remove the never ending sand.

Makai wasn't here to oversee repairs, anyone could have done that. He was here to buy a large number of mining droids off a company typically dealing in CSA space. He hadn't realized the CSA was back until he was digging deeper into mining equipment for his latest venture. The teenage half-Galan had asked for a representative to bring by one of the droids to test. Tatooine was a harsh environment .If his company was going to be digging and blasting through the cliffs in the distance they would need something to stand up.

It wasn't the sand that bothered her, it was the sun that came along with such worlds. A heavy sigh escaped her lips as she pulled her helm down, already wondering why she had undertaken the final aspect of this deal rather than sending her personal assistant. Tapping her fingers against her arm, she stood quietly in the cockpit of the shuttle, her eyes focusing upon the compound in the distance before she lightly tapped on the pilot's shoulder. Stepping back into the passenger compartment, she slipped down into her seat and waited.

The shuttle shuddered for a moment as it touched down against the sand, shifting slightly as it gave way under the heavy shuttle before the vessel settled in place. Another heavy sigh escaped her lips as she pulled herself up, the boarding ramp slowly slipping down with a loud thud as it pressed down against the sand. Loud thuds filled the air as she stepped down the boarding ramp, a loud hiss coming from her as she brought her arm up, covering her eyes from the sun as best she could whilst remaining in the shade that the shuttle provided.

A second shuttle settled overhead nearby, a loud thunderous noise filling the air for a moment as it dropped its cargo before slipping away to find a more suitable location to settle near the compound. The large droid shifting as it slowly brought itself up upon its heavy legs - Amelia looked on and merely smirked - before her attention was pulled towards the individual that she assumed was awaiting the arrival of the droid.

Being half-aquatic the climate did torture him. The heat wasn't the issue - it was the lack of moisture in the area. Most times it felt as if the planet was trying to suck the moisture out of his scales. Layers of clothing were used to keep some moisture in but it was always a dangerous proposition to stay out for an extended period.

Makai was waiting patiently for his guest to arrive. Two shuttles were landing, one closer to himself had easily found a place to settle in near the compound -not an easy feat considering the unstable nature of the sands. He watched as the cargo door opened and a miner droid emerged. It had a spider-like quality as it moved towards him. Followed closely by what appeared to be a woman. Perhaps a representative?

"Hello and welcome. Thanks for coming so far to visit with your product."

With a soft hiss, she stepped into the sun, her hand being held up to offer some shade for a moment before she managed to step into the shade of the massive mining droid that towered over her. Another hiss escaped her lip as she felt the burn upon her cheek, a low growl escaping as if she were attempting to challenge the sun. Reaching into a pack at her hip, she pulled out a small flask, from which she took a sip - the wound upon her cheek beginning to pull itself together again - though she was unsure if the individual she had spied before would have noticed or not.

Following under the large mining droid, she approached the individual, her golden hues falling upon him before she stood there silently for a moment. She was waiting, though also watching and taking in as much of her surrounding as possible, ensuring that this was on the up and up. Though if it were a trap, the young man before her would be the most likely target to ensure her own safety and security other than the large mining droid that was accompanying her at the moment.

"This is not the most comfortable world to discuss a deal on, though I would hazard a guess that it does not suit you as well. Shall we hammer out the details and forgo any small talk?"

Iced azure eyes fell upon the mining droid, looking the potential piece of equipment over. So far it had looked rugged and well enough for the job. Looks could be deceiving though and he was hoping the droid wasn't a piece of junk. Hard to imagine someone would fly all the way out to Tatooine just to show off useless goods but he had heard of crazier things.

Gaze fell back on the woman. As eager as he was to get out of the heat she seemed even more so. Makai wasn't one for small talk in such circumstances, wasn't one for small talk in the best of circumstances. It was something he was learning was necessary if Salacia Consolidated was going to be his in the future. Dark hair fell across his forehead as he nodded, agreeing silently.

"Of course. Is it possible to see the droid at work before we get down to speaking? I trust it does its job but I would prefer to see how well a job it can perform."

A silent nod followed in suit, as Amelia motioned quietly, another individual moving down the ramp of the shuttle she had just departed from. Turning to face her companion, she smirk slightly before looking back to the one she was showing the droid off to. The massive construct slowly rocking back and forth in a standby motion, its front arms rolling forward and back as if it were a spider cleaning its mandibles. Reaching her hand out, she gently took the datapad from the six-armed woman that approached.

"Thank you Alessara."

The droid would bow its head while clasping its six hands together, before Amelia returned her attention upon her potential customer. Holding the datapad in hand, she carefully handed it off to the individual. The schematics and controls of the droid already queued up on the screen. With a simple gesture towards the large construct she smirked to herself, her words slipping pass her lips gracefully.

"As you are aware, this is the Sorenn-Syrush Industries Mine Spyder, an industrial mining droid that is capable of being utilized in a variety and myriad of environments to ensure the safety of sentient beings. The datapad in your hands holds the schematics and pertinent information as well as the primary controls."
