Faction Smoke and Steel : GA Field Exercise | GADF | All branches | Others ask

Correllia Proving Grounds

After a rotation to Ord Vaug, elements of the GADF were back in the field. But this was no ordinary battle, this was a pitched battle, complete with hordes of simulated casualties and scores more of droids. From their lightly dug in position, they could see the swarm of B1 battle droids approaching their portion of the line. They were up on a hill, overlooking the target. The target ins question was a fortified city they were meant to take. The situation?

Well it had been good, until the droids got a lucky break and crushed their advance units. As the light infantry had fallen back under simulated tank fire, it fell to 54th to hold the center line. Off to their left on the ridge were the Alliance Marines, and to their right a unit of Pathfinders mixed in with their sister Aurek Co. X Wings screamed overhead, tangling midair with vulture droids in a cacophony of destruction. Yes, the stun rounds were less than lethal, but dang did they hurt. A tank shot still exploded the earth, and everything felt very real.

Tal, their Aqualish Staff Sergeant loaded another round into the tube of their PLEX launcher, then hugged the gunner. From his right lower half she was there perched behind the shallow earthworks they'd barely managed to construct.

"Backblast clear. Target is one thousand meters out, that AAT closest to us, see it?"

The gunner was wobbly, a young kid who'd just mustered in from Corellia. Before he could, answer, a sim round hit their position, clogging her nostrils and eyes with dirt. She flew back, impacting the ground hard with a wheeze. The round had been spot on, but her sensors indicated she was still alive. Tal her SSG was still up but notionally wounded.

"Kark."

The gunner was dead. The droids poured in behind the AAT as it neared their line, closing in faster than she would've liked. Tal kicked her the tube, and her gloved hand caught it. This time she didn't stand, but rolled until she dropped into the crater for protection, cradling her precious PLEX like it was her newborn child.

"Tal you read me? Third squad report!"

Third was fine, but minus two. No time for that.

"Redeploy that E-web off this position to the right, go now! Hurry up!

Troopers in antiquated rebel gear scrambled around, whisking away what had been their emplacement. No point in remaining if they were dialed in, and she couldn't afford to lose a crew served team.

"Command says X-Wing close air support is almost on station. Caught up with Vultures"

"Aren't you dead?" She growled.

"Nah, just a leg wound, well, according to this hunk of junk."

Tal tapped the sensor screen on their age-old sim gear, causing a distinct glitch in the HUD of the panel strapped to his arm.

"No big deal though."

"Ok sure. So can you spot or not Mr. leg wound?"

"Sure thing."

She nodded, popped up and sighted the launcher on the barreling tank. Tal called it, she fired, and let a corkscrew of silvery exhauste punctuate the chaos....

A column of battle droids advanced with their steps clanking all the more even as the tank was hit. They and the defenders exchanged shots while several explosions ignited all across the line. For every droid blasted two more seemed to take its place, threatening to overwhelm their organic defenders through sheer numbers.

Several clankers attempted to outflank Tal’s squad to allow the others to keep them occupied. Just as they neared one B-1's head was blasted off the rest of its body. Quickly a second and the third in front were struck each in the chest area, by three blaster bolts each. Only then the reminder looked up. Above them an armored figure in a jetpack dive in wielding a rifle.

"Blast her!" One droid commanded and its fellow mechanical troops quickly complied firing on the flying target.

Dodging their shots with increased speed, the attacker suddenly slammed her right foot into the chest, knocking the officer droid down as she used his metal body as support, sliding in the ground and kicking up dirt. Revealed was a green armored Mandalorian swung around blasting the droid on the right and rolled out of the way from the left one as it shot again at her.

She unloaded the rest of her ammo at the droid center mass. Reloading a new clip Minerva thought in relief.

Thank the ancestors that droids can't really think like us. Still their numbers and firepower can win the day if we're careless.

Turning back toward the nearby squad she rushed over to them. She leaped in front of the E-Web crew covering them with suppressive fire as she knelt on one leg.

"Get that gun in position already ya rookies!" She exclaimed to the gun crew who went on ahead.

To Tal on the opposite side Minerva then said before shooting four bolts at the advancing hostiles.

"Call me Minerva, command sent me to assist you all. What are your orders sergeant?"

Flying : TIE Advanced X-1

Vulture droids and X-wings dueled in the skies above the lines of infantry down on the ground. Jack had been delayed in joining the exercise while the GA techs made his TIE compatible with the sim software being used for the exercise today. He'd insisted on his own craft, after doing duty in X-wings and Y-wings, he wanted the comfort of his own TIE. Ria, his R-11 Astromech, had aided the techs, ensuring the sim software was online and functioning. Soon enough, he was cleared to engage, and his twin ion engines whined to full power. He rocketed off to the exercise area at full speed, having missed the start, he was edgy to get involved.

"Storm Leader this is Jack One, i'm solo on this one, any cover you could provide from the Vultures would be appreciated." Jack commed to the X-wing squadron leader. Ria had already pulled up targeting data to his screens from the scanners. Jack angled his fighter to go dangerously low, flying just thirty feet above the heads of the ground troops. He lined up a strafing run on the front rank of enemy battle droids, and let go with his laser cannons, both hands gripping the dual triggers, sending green blasts into the ranks of droids, blasting smoke and flame across the enemy front line as he roared by overhead, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake.

"Whooooo! That got em!" He let out a yell of excitement as he pulled up and out of the strafing run, going high. He'd make a tumble turn and drop from the sky, descending once more at full throttle to make a second ground attack run. If the ground forces needed a specific target worked, they'd ask for it. Until then, he'd provide assistance in slowing down the enemy's inexorable droid advance. Battle droids were no match for starfighter weapons, and his laser cannons mowed down the B1s. Ria kept him informed of any threats, but so far the Vulture droids seemed focused on the more numerous and dangerous X-wings, ignoring the lone TIE. Ria outlined for him on his screens another rank of battle droids, and Jack lined the fighter up for a second strafing run...

Laser fire ripped a hole in the enemy, pausing them briefly. Cheers rang out as the beleaguered troopers watched the X-Wings come down and take a chunk out of the droid mob. Janesha clicked over to the flight crew, hailing the pilot. She recognized the tail number.

"Nice Shooting Storm Leader, Jack One, keep brining' the rain boys!"

The Mando was a welcome addition to their ranks. The PLEX launcher hit its mark, but the warhead skidded off the side armor of the tank, detonating wide. It was enough to pause the AAT, throwing the balance of its repulsors off severely. The tank wobbled like a tea cup on a platter. She had no time to think, but only respond, as calls flooded the net.

Their joy was short-lived. More droids, were close behind like so many ants.

Terror made her blood thunder through her veins, giving her mouth a taste like battery acid. Droids. She hated them. And they right on top of them!

There's too many. We need to get them off us!

"E-webs up!"

"Fire!"

Minerva Fhirdiad Minerva Fhirdiad

From behind her she heard Tal give the order to Minerva,

"We got incoming Close Air Support, go ahead and mark the area for us!"

From between bursts of her rifle, Janesha looked behind her, stripped her belt off with one hand and tossed it to Minerva.

"Here use smoke, no time to dial in coordinates, just let em know we need path cleared. Centers going to push forward!"

With fire support on station, it was time to counter, at least as far as they could.

She stood, releasing her gas mag from the rifle, and rammed a fresh one home.

"Besh Co, on me! Forwards!"

From the parapets, their battle cry sounded across a dozen accents. Troopers from all worlds gave their garbled impression of basic, welling a pride in their souls as they spilled like angry bees over the parapet, mowing down droids, like so many stalks of wheat...

"Valor, Onwards!"

She'd held one grenade in reserve. They were so foolhardy they passed the tank all together, charging the open ground between the city limit, gaining fast. As she passed, she slapped the smoke charge on the side of AAT and kept going. A single red plume rose into the sky, signaling the X-Wings to come and get some.

No doubt soon followed by others as their newfound ally marked the targets....

Taking the belt Minerva's jaw dropped underneath the helm when the trooper explained they're going to launch a counter-attack against the horde coming their way! Quickly the shock wore off and she nodded, acknowledging the order. Putting up her rifle the Mandalorian took a deep breath and released. With a burst of energy she ascended up the earthworks.

"Bid hwa bic cuyir!" She declared in Mando'a before flying toward the tidal wave of droids pressing on.

At first Minerva stayed high letting them focus on her allies coming toward them. Then half a minute later Minerva lowered herself just above the central-most part of the enemy column activating and tossing the grenade. Thick crimson smoke burst forth and Minerva swerved around and flew away.

Soon enough she noted the entire Besh Co rushing out into the open. Drawing forth her rifle she spun around advancing with them above their heads. The Mandalorian fired three bursts in swift succession.

Let's see how those hotshots in the cockpits earn their pay.

It was all too convenient that her first mission with the Navy Starfighter Corps was a training operation.

Of course, Bella knew that she needed the experience before going into live combat, especially for an interceptor she had only recently gotten certified to fly. However, the Skywing wasn’t the only thing she needed to familiarize herself with. If it was, her work would have been easy.

The Galactic Alliance was a striking change from the Eternal Navy for the ex-Eternal Imperial ace. Looser regulations, different operating procedures, unconventional training practices, new hardware, and last but not least, the Jedi.

The mere thought of flying with one of them left a bad taste in Bella’s mouth.

Fortunately, she likely would not have to engage with a member of their Order here, at least she hoped. For now, she was fighting alongside military men and women—pilots, technicians, infantry, vehicle crews, medics, and yet more, who would be her new brothers and sisters in arms. At the very least, the Togruta could take solace in that fact, knowing that most times she would be fighting alongside competent, disciplined professionals, instead of literal children juiced up on space magic and righteousness.

Pushing the latter thoughts out of her mind, Bella set her attention back on her assigned objective: establishing air superiority for the 54th. Her Skywing tore through the sky at high altitude, before diving down at mach speeds towards an element of three droid tri-fighters. She knew from experience that droid starfighters were more dangerous than most organic pilots. Their superior ability to resist G-forces as compared to organics made them a torture to face if brought into a turning battle. While Bella was quite capable of resisting G-forces as well, she knew that there were easier, less risky ways to beat them.

Seizing the initiative, Bella opened fire on the tri-fighters in the left and middle of the formation as soon as her targeting system picked up their signatures, a pair of kill confirmation pings echoing like honey against her montrals as the craft was reduced to virtual slag. The remaining tri-fighter immediately broke off, forcing Bella to make a split-second decision to choose between giving chase or pulling up.

She chose the latter option.

Pulling back on the control column, Bella pulled her Skywing up and out of the attack run. She was keenly aware of the fact that the tri-fighter was giving chase, but she still retained the advantage in speed and altitude. Even so, the ping of a missile locking on compelled her to initiate defensive maneuvers, chaff spitting out from the rear of her craft as she rolled her interceptor’s wings hard to port, initiating a breakneck turn in the same direction the warhead was coming from. At the same time, the bandit moved to follow her turn, but Bella didn’t wait for the droid to get back into phase with her. She immediately threw her interceptor into a series of sharp, twisting turns across three dimensions, bleeding much of her speed in the process, but forcing the tri-fighter on her tail to overshoot her trajectory.

With a deep intake of air, Bella angled her interceptor’s nose ahead of the tri-fighter’s trajectory, before unleashing a hail of laser fire that tore the droid to virtual shreds.

Flying : TIE Advanced X-1

Jack caught the flash of metal as something very fast and very sleek shot across the Corellian sky, skilfully avoiding a Trifighter before blowing it to hell. Sithspit, that's nice flying! He thought to himself. "Ria, what kind of fighter is that?" He called to his astromech, who was a veritable treasure trove of data. She flashed up the specs of the craft on a screen for him to admire.

"Jack One to Skywing-class, nice flying, Ace!" He called. Done admiring his fellow pilot's work, Jack turned his mind back to the combat sim. He considered another strafing run on the infantry, but that wasn't the way to win battles. Their own infantry could deal with the B1s, he could deal with the big guns. "Ria, find me some enemy artillery." Ria beeped approvingly, flashing up targeting data to Jack's HUD.

He brought his TIE around in a wide turn, keeping one eye out for Vulture Droids, but didn't see any of the buggers on his tail. He shot across the terrain close to ground level, the fighting below him a blur. In no time at all, the first of three droid artillery units came through his crosshairs, and Jack gave them the laser cannon treatment, walking his rounds across the sites. One, two, three sites out of action, and he was pleased to see as he pulled up, only small arms fire coming his way from the ground. Something he could safely ignore.

What he could not ignore were the shield impacts a moment later from a handful of Vulture Droids. The TIE rocked with the impacts as if they were trying to punch him and his fighter out of the sky. Jack didn't even have time to swear, so focused was he on evading further fire. He counted five enemies as he rocked and jinked his TIE, rolling right and diving, before rolling back the other way to his left and boosting at full throttle into a climb towards space. He might have thrown organic pilots off with that little maneuver, but not droids. "Come on, clankers..."

Sure enough, all five of the droid buggers came around in wide turns to follow him up. He'd bought himself a few seconds, and used them to punch hard, straight up. They'd catch up in no time, of course, but for a brief moment, they weren't blasting him out of the sky. Ria whistled in alarm, expressing hope that the pilot had a plan.

He did.

Not a particularly elegant plan, but effective nontheless. Jack waited until all five enemy craft had committed to the climb, then quickly rolled and rotated his fighter to face backward, straight down. Then he let them have it with both barrels. Unable to evade effectively, all five Vultures were blotted from the sky, even as Jack's TIE lost upward momentum and began to drop back to ground like a stone. Droids had endurance, but they didnt have style, he thought. Jack dropped back toward the battle, re-engaging, searching for targets.

Under the renewed onslaught of combined arms, the droids faltered. The B1's lost most of their tank within the space of a few short minutes. Beyond that, fancy flying and gunning had silenced the booms from their artillery, rendering the field a much safer place to be an infantry soldier. They kept going, blasting, punching through the meager resistance. Droid commanders sounded fall back commands. AA emplacements that had been formerly silent now sprang to life, peppering the sky with not lasers, but deadly chaff.

"Keep pushing!" She screamed.

The squads were mostly online, moving in coordinated bounds, left side then right side towards the limit. Sniper fire rang out, taking two out of the game. She dropped to the dirt, and snapped her rangefinder binocs up to try and get a sighting.

"Z-6 Rotary Cannons, center of the building. I'm marking it now. Minerva, if you can clear a rooftop and provide overwatch, that'd be nice right now!"

And mark she did, placing the IR laser attached to her A-280 on the spot where she had picked up movement. She'd held the heavy gunners in reserve, but now was heir chance. With only one hundred meters to go before they reached the first set of buildings, it was going to be a mad dash.

Meanwhile, in the skies the droid fighters were falling back, some of them taking heavy losses. Somewhere off to her left, a flaming ball of panels, wires and fried droid crashed in, shaking the ground like a thousand bass speakers chained together. Smoke and earth plumed up in equal measure, adding further confusion and chaos to the battle space. She noted another five casualties from shrapnel. The odds were starting to stack against them once more....

The Z-6 crews ripped into the building, pouring lances of hundreds of blue rounds per minute into the windows. It was like watching a messed up fire hose spray all over the place.

Gotta close that distance....

She couldn't ask for an airstrike on the buildings. Too many civilian casualties.

"Third and fourth, move up and take the nearest building, all others give us a base of fire. Keep them off us!"

They were up again, this time running for the long haul. Her muscles ached, her breath ran ragged, and her pack bounced on her back with each step. She felt like lead weights had been attached to her ankles. In a different time she would've used a stim, but the drugs were out of her life for good now.

Fifty meters....

C'mon.......

Objective: Test the nuggets.

With her A-wing skimming just a few meters above the terrain at a dangerously high rate of speed, Ari was elated as she looked at her display - the simulated battle ranging on below her. It had been absolutely far too long since she'd been able to sit behind the stick of her baby - now she not only got to bring it back, but she got to play the bad guy for once. Sending out an order for flight of Tri-Fighters that were being sent in to focus on defending the simulated airbase, she trimmed her controls for atmospheric flight and accelerated towards the enemy, recalling her briefing as she did so.

It had been simple. With the rest of the 303rd taking part in a variety of exercises elsewhere, both as BLUFOR and as Adversaries, she had been chosen for this one because of her skill. In recent battles, the Alliance's fallen enemies in the Empire and Maw had relied almost entirely on a small cadre of ace pilots, each with a veteran squadron behind them and being backed up by run of the mill fleet pilots. SFC had wanted to see how some of the pilots would react to an ace of a similar caliber entering the battlefield. Ari had proven in her many dogfights against the Maw that she was definitely of that caliber - and so she was chosen to be an Adversary for this mission. She relished at the Opportunity - even had her old Wolf Squadron insignia painted on her personal A-wing.

Clicking to the open channel in the battlespace, Ari gave a simple "This is Starburst... Fight's on!" before pulling into an extreme climb, just barely missing her own side's flak and chaff, Engaging the TIE Advanced of Jack Versio Jack Versio and the Skywing of Bella Bella . With her speed giving her only a split second in weapons envelope, she fired off a burst from her laser cannons (powered down to training settings, of course) as she passed by them, trimming her inertial dampeners to make a spine-crushing turn to keep her in the fight.

This is going to be fun.

Amazingly enough the clankers were falling back despite their numerical superiority. Not that Minerva was complaining in fact it thrilled her! The strafing runs by the Alliance fighters and resulting explosions were a sight to behold from her. The Mandalorian kept flying overhead the troops that kept advancing. Nearing the buildings she then heard the comms message from Janesha.

"I hear ya!" She acknowledged before seeing the target marked by her ally below. Ascending further for another minute before diving right back down to the rooftop. Her helmet's HUB detected two enemies in sniping position.

Wait, those are commando droids…Finally a challenge!

Grinning savagely inside the helm she increased flight speed. The droid acting as spotter looked up. Immediately it picked its blaster and opened fire and was soon joined by the sniper. Minerva swerved and spun out of the way of the stun bolts but barely. So much so that she couldn't even shoot back.

At the last several seconds she disengaged the jetpack and landed on the roof in a roll behind the droids. Without hesitation she pulled the trigger, firing at the sniper in the chest area. Knocked back in the upper body it got up shooting back with its partner. Minerva rolled away while still firing until the marksman's head was shot off.

The spotter charged her, taking the Mandalorian off guard, unleashing a flurry of punches. Struck repeatedly Minerva flew back groaning before the commando aimed its gun down at her. Using her rocket boots she flew off the spot before the stun bolts could hit her. Then activating the jetpack she circled around the commando droid as they exchanged shots. Suddenly she rushed down at it before unleashing her sonic repulsor that knocked the droid off the roof and fell to the street below.

Landing in a heap, Minerva sighed.

"I wanted a challenge and I got it heh."

Noting the now discarded sniper rifle she put her weapon and picked up the former. Switching off stun mode she headed to the back end of the roof before messaging Janesha on the comm channel.

"Rooftop cleared. I'm getting into position right now."

Foot slamming down on the accelerator, Bella pushed her interceptor’s engines as she ascended to build back her speed and altitude after pulling a particularly exhausting series of scissors. It was only then that she registered a masculine voice echoing a compliment over comms, something she hadn’t received since the fall of the Eternal Empire.

Nevertheless, Bella didn’t let her wonder overtake her professionalism.

“Cut the chatter, Jack One. My sign is Miracle, by the way.” Bella corrected, a throwback to her first squadron, back when she was a fresh-from-the-vat pilot in the Agents of Chaos Armada, flying an iNf-46 Needle equipped with twin laser cannons, light shields, ion repeaters, a flak repeater, and a single missile launcher.

Ironically, the iNf-46 wasn’t that much different from the Skywing she found herself flying now.

Before long, a lone sensor contact approaching from below pinged against Bella’s montrals. Tightening her core muscles, Bella immediately pulled back on the control column, half-rolling her interceptor inverted before pitching the nose down into a descending half-loop. Simultaneously, dampener gas smoked out from her craft, intended to neutralize the energy of the incoming laser bolts.

With that, Bella swiftly re-acquired the bandit—one of the REDFOR—before rolling her interceptor’s wings and turning in their direction, intent upon establishing an aggressive lead pursuit angle.

She hoped it would give her just the firing solution she needed.

Cyber-reflex system kicking into action, the Togruta’s implants dilated her sense of time and accelerated her nervous system, giving her more than enough time from her perspective to prime a brief, split-second snapshot. Moments later, Bella squeezed the trigger on her yoke as soon as the A-Wing came into phase, spitting out a trio of downtuned laser bolts aimed to strike the craft’s fuselage.

Minerva has silenced the snipers on the roof and sounded the all clear. Janesha didn't have time to respond as her lungs filled with air and her veins ran hot with blood like rivers of lava. They reached the outbuilding and she slumped against the side, gasping for air. Minerava would get a double click of the comms, their signal for all good.

Up above, the chaff was adding to chaos and confusion as a REDFOR A-wing broke into the airspace and began blasting. She took a moment to admire their flying through her binoculars, before returning to the situation at hand. Tal was gone, marked as a sim cas. She glanced left to her corporal and snatched him by the back of his jacket.

"Corporal over here!"

He flipped, almost blasting her in the process. One hand reflexively struck his barrel, knocking the muzzle to face the earth.

"Watch it!"

"My bad, startled me."

"No worries. Get a strong point formation on the corners of this building. We'll sue this as the base while the rest of the unit moves up. I need a headcount and casualty collection point asap."

Corporal Tessler, a Bothan, nodded.

She flipped back to the corner of the wall, leaning back with her rifle up, just enough to peer around the corner. Janesha nearly jumped out of her skin at the droid patrol coming down the street. She clamped the rifle to the corner of the steel grey building, exposing the smallest target possible, and let fly. Twin rounds took down the first, and a lucky shot disarmed another. Behind her, someone rolled an EMP Grenade through the grassy, muddy street into the middle of the assaulting droid group.

"ION, ION! OUT!"

She grunted, and shifted her weight to snap back fully behind the corner, just in time for the sound of arcing electrical circuits to punctuate the air like frying bantha bacon in a cast steel pan.

"Contact, Structure 1. One patrol. Alcon press forwards, give me two more buildings so we can hold this beach head!"

She glanced back to see the wily private in question who'd had the idea to ion the droids to death.

"Good reaction Pri. Cover me while I move, Tessler, you have command of structure 1 and all other functions."

Minerva no doubt would read the situation herself, and needed no further orders. She'd proven herself extremely effective in this exercise, so much so that Janesha made a mental note to recommend her transfer to the 54th, Besh Co as a fellow NCO.

Tessler nodded, the private leveled his blaster and the squad stacked behind her. With a wave they were off, picking their way through the streets, flitting from cover to cover like shadows in the night. All they had to do was ring the bell at the forum.

Tall order....

"This is Starburst... Fight's on!"

Ooh, Jack thought, grinning behind his helmet and oxygen mask. OpFor. Just what he needed to test himself, after all, droids and organic pilots were two very different kitties. He rolled instinctively on hearing the comm call to take himself out of any line of fire, and saw the laser blasts flash past. He tensed his legs against the pedals, holding the blood there as he pulled high Gs in a tight turn, stretching the TIE's airframe and putting it under stress. Nothing but his best would be enough to survive an A-wing pilot who knew their business.

"Cut the chatter, Jack One. My sign is Miracle, by the way."

All business, this one, he heard. Still, she hadn't told him to suck exhaust, and that was positive. Wondering how the other pilot got her callsign, Jack admired her moves, as the Skywing pulled a picture-perfect Split-S and deployed some sort of dampening gas, defanging the laser blasts from the A-wing. Very nice. "Jack has your wing, Miracle." He said. If she wanted professional, he'd be professional. His TIE screamed through the air and he kept tight on the Skywing as Miracle went after the A-wing, leading the way.

A-wings had speed. That was their greatest advantage. They couldn't use it all in atmosphere, and here the situation was a two on one. Whoever Starburst was, they had to be good to come at a battle against such terrible odds. And Miracle seemed to be no slouch of a hand on the stick, either. Jack was rarely troubled that he might not be able to keep up with other pilots. Today, he figured he was sharing the air with a couple of very talented fliers. That meant he had to be his best, to be damn near perfect, if he didn't want to get vaped. For now, he held his weapons tight, ready to cover Bella Bella and watching for Vulture Droids in case they decided to join the fun.

With that, he turned his mind fully over to flying, pushing all thoughts, like why he didnt yet have a proper squadron or a proper callsign, from his head, and focusing on the job at hand. Keeping up with his wingman and the enemy fighters was worry enough.

0sC331S.png

Now placed at the best angle possible Minerva used the sniper rifle to observe the streets. Just then an emp grenade went off from the corner of the scope. She turned it and saw a whole group of hostiles wiped out.

When this exercise ends there will be so many droid parts that it be a Jawa paradise.

Amused at the thought, the Mandalorian watched over Janesa's team as they advanced. Inwardly she approved how the troopers were making good use of their surroundings for cover. Urban warfare is no joke even for a field exercise. Scanning their flanks Minerva paused, noting two objects rolling from the far left side.

Instantly she realized what they were and she called out in the comms.

"Destroyers rolling your way! Left corner two of them!"

Yet there was more. A whole squad of B1s were following next. She zeroed in on the heavy gunner droid, blasting off his head before he could set up the repeater. Several of the enemies took cover using the wall and ruins for protection while Minerva shot down another pair swifty. One, a sniper fired back toward the Mandalorian forcing her away as the stun bolt flew to the air.

"B1 squad same route! I'll keep their attention til ya ready!" Minerva said to her allies as she grabbed a fallen brick and tossed it over to the side.

The brick was shot to pieces, diverting the droid sniper's focus as Minerva returned to the ledge and aimed and fired. The bolt caused the hostile to fall back crashing into another droid.

"Two for the price of one." She chuckled in amusement before laying down cover and keeping the rest of the droid squad pinned in their position while they tried to return fire at her.

Dayjer rolled his X-Wing as he renters the dogfight, letting the others handle ground attack, he locks onto a droid fighter and fires a quick burst from his four cannons, shredding the fighter. He then quickly ducks through the explosions to, taking shots at targets when he could, his squadron had broke off into three flights of four, doing much the same as himself, having trained many of the pilots himself, Dayjer wasn’t worried about them fight now.

A flurry of laser fire streaked past him as R6 shrieked in his socket, a Tri-fighter has managed to position itself on his six.
