Public [SJC] What Is Your Malfunction?

Mi'la was now being faced down by an advanced sparing droid, having only been spared by Sakadi's quick reflexes. Rolling backwards, her blue saber flickered on, as she was none too happy about being caught off guard. She needed to focus on what was to come, else she'd have more than a bruised pride and forehead. Seeing the carnage unfolding within the training hall, the padawan was eager to rush in to assist her fellow jedi. Before she could leap into the room, another pair of jedi arrived, and none too soon; given that one of the masters had taken off for the generators. "Finally, and here I thought the women would be doing all the hard work." She remarked, her hand reaching for her second saber as she adjusted from Makashi to Jar'Kai; she'd have to strike quickly to even the odds in their favor. As the group would prepare to launch their assault, the right far wall of the training hall erupted in a cloud of smoke, the explosion being able to be seen from outside where Moya Virtu Moya Virtu and Talohn Atar Talohn Atar stood. The room was shaken by a loud 'woosh', as a grey cloud of smoke and rubble blew through the hall and out through the open door that the group had been assembled by.

The cause was soon apparent, as an old Basilisk War Droid hovered into the room, breaking through what little blocked it's path. It's ominous form lazed about, before ascending higher into the room, more than likely looking for new targets to acquire. 'Where in the hell were they keeping this thing?' Mi'la looked to the seeker droids, some of which had been destroyed by the blast that shook the hall, but there were still several droids that threatened trainees within the room. "I got the younglings!" She shouted, rushing through the wave of smoke, being guided by the force as she maneuvered towards the combat droids, both blades ignited. She hurled her saber at the one farthest from her, slicing through it's head. Her steps quickened, as Mi'la stopped and let herself slide across the stone floor. She lashed out with her remaining saber, sending a wide sweeping blow towards the droid, and severing it in half by it's waist. Unfortunately, her time to shine was nearly ruined, as her saber spun back to her, it's plasma blade whirling out of control. She quickly side stepped it as it flew back towards her, managing to catch the hilt in a reverse grip position. "Alright, everyone mo-" She had started to proclaim, only to find that the master and the younglings had been knocked senseless by the blast. There were far too many people for her to move on her own, and that war droid was going to re-calibrate it's systems relatively soon. 'Come on Mi'la, figure this out.' Thankfully she wasn't alone, or else she'd really be panicking.

Talohn was easily working with the rest of the jedi around him to fend off any enemies that strayed into the bubble. Most of the droids weren't prepared to deal with a clone war era shotgun, something specifically meant for battle droids, so the training droids are easily blasted to shreds as they came close. "How many droids do you have here? Da-" Before he can finish, the ground shakes under all of their feet, and Talohn turns about to see the smoke going up from an explosion. "Oh...oh no, it got worse." Talohn looks to the jedi within his protection orb. "Stay here, protect the younglings." With that, Talohn runs out of the bubble, shotgun in hand.

His eyes widen as he arrives, gazing upon the droid that is now rising into the air. "WHY? WHY WOULD YOU STORE THIS HERE?" His hisslike scream can be heard over all the noise. He aims his shotgun, and begins firing. There's a lot of spread due to the range between him and the droid, but since they're laser, his shots are still making impact on the droid. "Hey, Jedi! If you guys can ground this thing, I have a plan." He calls out to any of the jedi nearby, hoping for some aid.

Sakadi moved through the horde of training droids with stylish grace. Each lunge or jab was skillfully parried and countered. Each droid that joined the fray became a new shield for her to hide behind. The elegant dance of destruction performed by the Sephi marked the end of many advanced training droids. But for every metal body she cut down, two more took its place.

"It does not matter what happened. What matters is how we are going to stop them." She directed back at the Padawan ( Reggie Faayare Reggie Faayare ) and Knight ( Cadere Cadere ) who arrived. "Help me distract them. Mi'la, see to it that the others can escape." She conveyed, as she evaded the decimating strike of a vibromace. Normally, she would have been able to keep a small army like this occupied by herself. But mind tricks, illusions and telepathy did not affect droids, thus making them a glaring weakness of the Jedi Master.

Drawing on her connection to the Living Force, Sakadi would exude her presence to invigorate all nearby combatants. She needed the enhanced physicality to keep up with the increasing amount of droids that threw themselves at her and her allies. It wouldn't be enough to shift the tide of battle, but she was certain that it would help. That was, until the next opponent presented itself.

The basilisk war droid made her already bad mood even worse. She barely heard the shout that came from outside. Someone had a plan. Sakadi twirled to the side, bisecting yet another advanced training droid as she moved. "Cas, that's your cue." It was all she'd tell him, for she already moved on to the next problem.

Wasting no time, Sakadi leapt back. She spun in the air to avoid what blasterfire came her way, and landed right behind the purple Twi'lek. "Do what you have to. I'll cover you." In case the Basilisk wouldn't be driven outside in time, she would be there to partially deflect the incoming barrage.

Cas flashed a smirk at Reggie "Nice." he said holding a fist out in his direction, it was... a new experience to have someone banter with him during a crisis. It was nice. Returning his attention to Sakadi and Mi'la, the Sephi ordered the two to help her keep the droids distracted while the Twi'lek aided in the escape - nodding, he readied himself with an elegant twirl of his lightsaber and as he did so he felt a wave of renewed energy fall over him, like a second wind.

Realising what Sakadi had done, he grinned before continuing against the droids. But when the basilisk made its grand entrance, the Jedi Knight quickly evaded the blast with a backward somersault. Upon seeing what caused it Cas rolled his eyes "What the f-- Isn't this overkill? Why do we have a--" he was cut short by a voice coming from outside with a plan. Sakadi projected a command into his mind, gritting his teeth, his brown eyes narrowed on the war droid and his grip around his lightsaber tightened "On it." he confirmed.

The Jedi Knight had a short window to get it outside as it re-calibrated its systems. Twirling his lightsaber again, Cas leapt up to the war droid and climbed into its pilot seat in an attempt to ground it but to no avail, its piloting systems were locked. Growling in annoyance, he leapt out of the pilot's seat and toward the war droid's joints. As the basilisk neared re-calibration, the Jedi Knight used his cybernetic hand to hang off one of its joints while using his organic one to thrust his lightsaber deep into the exposed areas of its joints. He knew applying enough heat interfered with its reflective defences.

Finally, with his cybernetic arm's added strength he hoisted himself on top of the basilisk, flipping back onto it before rushing over to its engines. Lowering himself into a crouching position, Cas aggressively rammed his amber blade into its engines applying as much pressure as he could in hopes of burning through it quicker. Still focused on the droid, Cas called out to the rest "When I drop this thing, everyone quickly combine a telekinetic push to send this piece of scrap outside!"

Feeling the droid jolt, Cas quickly relinquished his blade from the engine and as the droid fell to the ground, the Kiffar rolled backward and backflipped off of the droid landing at the same time it crashed onto the ground. He hoped everyone was ready as he quickly channelled the Force around him before expelling it into the most powerful gust of telekinetic energy he could muster to push it outside.

Reggie brought up his own fist to bump Cas', happy that the Knight appreciated the banter. Reggie knew when to be serious, but he also used banter to help calm his mind slightly, and those around him. Such moments don't come often in dangerous situations like this, and can easily be missed. Reggie turned to the Twi'lek padawan that had spoke and smiled at her remark. Before he could respond though, he heard the voice that sent out the telepathic message from before give a command, and felt as though he was amped up from some other source. He made an assumption that it came from the Jedi Master and brought his focus back to the droids.

The basilisk war droid that had just made its presence known had made things much worse than they should have been. The war droids apparent malfunction made Reggie believe that whatever happened to these droids wasn't some freak accident, but something done with intent by some unknown source. However, with all the blaster fire coming his way and the large number of droids attacking them, Reggie push the thought aside for now and defended himself and those around him. He would have helped the younglings escape, but his Padawan peer had beat him to that, and was soon joined by the Jedi Master.

Reggie heard the voice of someone who was helping them in this situation, which surprised him considering the chaos that was going on all around him. The voice could be heard clearly and wasn't drowned out by the sound of combat, relaying to those around that they had a plan that may work if they grounded the droid. "Some Good news. Now only to figure out how to get the droid out of the air."

Suddenly, Cas literally leapt into action, and went to bring the droid down. Soon, he heard the Knight issue a command. Reggie waited for the basilisk to fall to the ground, while also fighting off the other droids. He was trying his best not to miss the opportunity that Cas would open to everyone, which he didn't have to wait too long for. Cas and the droid were now on the ground, which prompted Reggie to put out both of his hands and use as much force energy as he could to push the droid outside. Considering the size of this thing, it would take everything Reggie had just to make it budge a little. Fortunately, he wasn't doing it by himself. Reggie strained and pushed with all his force might to get this thing outside.

Mi'la was hoping that this whole ordeal would be done and over with as Cas, Reggie, and Sakadi set about attacking the droid. Unfortunately, that was not so. She attempted to help one of the masters out of the rubble. With the mental boost from Master Sakadi Marathi Sinvala Sakadi Marathi Sinvala , Mi'la found her mind was clearer, her reaction times quickened; needless to say, it helped a padawan that was far outside her comfort zone. She managed to dislodge some of the ruined stonework off some of the younglings, but two of them seemed with it enough to escape on their own. That wasn't the worst of it however.

As Cas took out the engine of the war droid, he would find out first hand why the Mandalorians preferred this as their mounts. Between the two jedi shoving the droid, it seemed the plan might work, but the droid had other plans. The droid fell to the ground, but it wasn't as helpless as they might have hoped. The droid brain of the droid kicked in, as it's multiple legs ejected outwards, catching itself before it could smash into the ground outside the training hall. The series of sounds that emitted from it's hull were rather concerning, especially as several weapons dislodged from it's chassis.

'Threat level: High. Combat Options Expanded: Concussion Missiles: Armed. Pulse Wave Cannons: Armed. Anti-Jedi Warfare commencing.'

The two massive arms on the front of the droid clamped down, lifting the massive hulk upwards, clamping on and working as a make shift weapon emplacement, as it now gave it's full arsenal a wide range of which to attack. A pair of concussion missiles would fire upwards, right into the ceiling and sending down a large degree of rubble into the training room as it's explosion nearly buckled the ceiling. Several pulse and laser weapons would begin firing off a spread, though what it lacked for in accuracy it made up for with an onslaught of weaponry. The front of the droid itself seemed to serve as some sort of rotary cannon weapon, as it began to floor the training hall with weapons fire.

"SERIOUSLY WHO PUT THIS THING IN THE TRAINING ROOM?" Mi'la shouted, as she took up a pair of younglings, though thanks to Sakadi she was shielded from the onslaught of weapons fire. Several holes were blown up, and the air was heavy with debris, but at least they had a team of people working together now. Mi'la would apply the force to her legs, and leap, seeking to carry the two younglings out of the room, trying to depose of them in a safer environment, though she was rewarded by being struck in the back by a pulse weapon; shredding through the back of her attire and a bit of skin in the process. Flipping mid-air, Mi'la managed to catch herself, near the entrance, tossing the two youngling to those who still lingered near the hall entrance. She tried to ignore that scathing pain that coiled across her back, though it was rather evident that she would need some bacta after this. "Argh, Sith spit!" She swore, finding a nice piece of rubble to take a second to steady herself. Kneeling down, she looked to try and find a weakness to exploit within the droid, though at current it seemed to just be an immoible weapon mount. It looked rather impossible from this angle, but with the force anything was possible.

Talohn, using that third sense given to him by the force, is able to weave his way through the rubble as it all fell down around him. Once the rubble seems to have finished falling, Talohn rolls his way behind a nearby large chunk of ceiling to use as cover. It was using some damn good anti Jedi measures, the force wouldn't be much help at the moment. No, what this bunch needed was some borderline crazy scavenger ingenuity, but the cathar would have to work fast. He opens his satchel to see what he's got sitting around inside. "C'mon....c'mon... Let's see...." He takes out the second shield dome generator he had on him, and his eyes widen. "Now we're cookin." Using his sharp tipped fingernail claws, he picks open the side panel of the piece of tech, and proceeds to move around a few wires before shutting it once again. With his gadget prepared, he takes a spare batttery he keeps around in his bag for vechicle jumping, and hooks it up to the shield generator.

"Alright, this is a plan. A fuckin crazy plan, but it's better than nothing." Waiting for the next round of blasterfire to stop, Talohn dashes out of cover, taking the window of opportunity to chuck the rigged abomination of technology at the droid after pressing the activation button. What happens next, if all goes well, is beautiful. The battery charged shield dome generator, due to being super charged, creates a dome big enough to encompass the grounded droid. But that's not all. With the tampering Talohn did, the shield was now inverted, making it so that things can go in, but not go out. This made it so that all the heavy blaster fire the droid was shooting off would proceed to bounce back at it with haste since it was shooting from all directions within the bubble. Hopefully it's own ordinance is enough to finally make the thing fall to pieces.

When the basilisk had arrived all Moya could do was stop, gawk, amazed at the incompetence this implied about the Silver Rest's safety regulations, and then immediately start shooting at it.

The Ion Relics bolts impacted with a sharp crack against the war droid armor and after a few shots it was clear they were starting to pierce it, at least a little. Everyone else of course had fancy Force Powers but Moya had been caught with her proverbial pants down. As time had gone on she had begun enjoying using settings other than her standard one. She was starting to become a piloting enthusuast given how much danger she and the rest of her family were in these days. She had not forgotten her failure at Atrisia, where not being in her piloting configuration at the moment she was attacked there had cost her valuable escape time, which had forced Laertia to go to the Atrisian Mountains to rescue her from the Sith Assassins keeping her prisoner. Laertia had gone ballistic once she had reached the interior. For daring to steal her ship and her rabbits, for vowing to cook them alive in front of her (This second bit alone would have gained them all a Death Sentence.), but mainly for taking Moya, The brain damaged Jedi had spared none of the enemy in the rampage that had then ensued. Moya had not judged her...she was all too familiar with the Sith. She knew how brutal they were. She would have done the same thing if their positions were reversed.

This droid was a possible threat to Laertia. For that alone she would grind it into the dust herself if she could.

But Talohn Atar Talohn Atar had a great idea, and Laertia had to admit it was impressive, trapping it inside its own shield. She backed him by continuing to fire her pistols, which were more than capable of piercing many types of energy shield.

Moya refused to allow this thing to get anywhere close to her daughter.

She approached, blasting its eye sensors, targeting programs systematically trying to cripple the thing. A shot from it blasted her shoulder and stomach open, but she didn't feel the pain. She hardly ever did. All that mattered was Laertia's protection.

"Anybody got an ion grenade?!" She asked?
