As the haunting voice trailed off, the ground beneath Braze and Ali began to tremble. A chilling sensation rippled through the air as the flooring beneath them started to shift and buckle, forming a treacherous gap that threatened to separate them.

Braze's heart raced with urgency. With a desperate lunge, Braze tried to bridge the widening chasm.

Braze wobbled as even he landed on his perch, it too has started to recess back into the walls of the cavern all of them becoming flat and smooth slowly removing what was left of his foothold,

”Hey I’m not— ” Braze started to squall but stopped himself. No, he probably was pretty scummy as a person though he would have to reflect on those thoughts later. He had to leap to a higher and smaller platform. It seemed the ones higher up shifted more slowly into place but we’re smaller overall. He tried to make his way higher and higher toward the filtering light. He found a potion with a large metal hoop protruding from a wall and slipped a hand through it latching on.

“We need to leave.”
He called to her and extended a hand toward the girl.

Aliris could go up or down. It would seem the little annoying padawan had thought the way out was up And didn’t seem inclined to leave without her or to cause her harm.

Aliris raised a brow curiously as she hopped up herself, going where she had to to at least avoid falling into the pit. But to think he'd extend a hand to her. Suspicion played across her face, but there wasn't much of an alternative. Asides, she still had a weapon if she needed it. So she jumped up, reaching to take his hand and get to safety.

"No kidding. Up and out, yeah?"

Braze Braze

Braze felt a surge of relief as Aliris reached out and clasped his hand. The trust between them, however tenuous, was a glimmer of hope in this perilous situation. With a firm grip, he pulled her up, their eyes meeting for a brief moment.
"Yeah, up and out," Braze affirmed with determination. He shifted his weight, muscles straining as he hoisted Aliris onto the singular higher, and stationary platform. The shifting floors beneath them made their ascent all the more challenging, but Braze refused to let fear hinder their escape. It took all the strength he could muster to hoist her weight up and even about where he was latched on, pushing her upwards so she could reach that stationary spot beneath the lit window.

His grip on the metal hoop was slipping all the while he strained to pull her up.

As Aliris was moved presumably up and onto the stable platform, Braze's own position grew precarious. The metal hoop that had served as his support began to give way, slipping through his grasp. With a desperate lunge, he propelled himself upward, his fingers desperately searching for a new hold. But the shifting environment had other plans.

With a deafening crack, the walls of the sith tomb began to crumble around them. Stone fragments rained down, filling the air with a cloud of dust and debris. The once grandeur of the temple now revealed its true nature as it crumbled into ruins.

Braze's heart pounded in his chest as he fought against the chaos, his body contorting in mid-air. He managed to grab onto a jagged piece of stone, his fingers gripping tightly as he swung his legs, attempting to gain purchase on the unstable ground.

Amidst the crumbling temple, a deep rumbling sound filled the air, reverberating through the abyssal depths below. It was a haunting echo, as if the very essence of darkness itself was awakened by the destruction unfolding above.

A ray of light pierced through the crumbling temple walls, illuminating a pathway to safety. The way out was clear, bathed in a soft, inviting glow.

He was pretty eager in helping her get up and out, it seemed. She didn't fight against him, pulling herself up on the ledge and just watching him for a brief moment. She stole his kyber, bled it in front of him, and his first instinct when things went to hell was to push her up to safety.

Annoying.

Worse still, he was struggling. She huffed in annoyance before reaching a hand down and pulled on the Force. All to yank him up to her, and to try and keep him from falling any further down.

"You're an idiot, you know that!?"

As the walls crumbled and the air filled with dust and debris, Braze's heart pounded in his chest. His body contorted in mid-air, desperately searching for a new hold amidst the chaos. The metal hoop slipped through his grasp, leaving him teetering on the edge of uncertainty.

Just as he thought he might lose his grip, a surge of energy pulsed through him. Aliris, extending her hand, calling upon the Force to help him. It was a surprising act of assistance, given their budding, and rocky history, but in that moment, Braze couldn't deny the relief that washed over him.

As he was pulled up to the stable platform by Aliris, Braze caught his breath, his eyes meeting hers. The mix of gratitude and frustration played across his face, evident in the way his eyebrows furrowed.

"Yeah, yeah, I know," Braze replied, his voice filled with a mixture of exasperation and genuine appreciation. "But I couldn't just leave you down there, could I? "

There was little time to speak given present circumstances as the whole ground shook , vibrations emanating from the depth below. Without much Braze reached out to take Aliris' hand in his and attempted to pull her along as he started for the pathway out.

As they pressed on, the path began to widen, revealing glimpses of a world beyond the confines of the tomb. The soft whisper of wind rustled through unseen leaves, hinting at the vibrant life awaiting them. The air grew fresher, carrying the scent of blooming flowers and the distant call of native creatures.

And then, with a final twist, they emerged from the dilapidated ruins into a serene oasis. A lush, jungle-like expanse stretched before them, vibrant with colors that contrasted the darkness they had just escaped. Towering trees stood tall, their branches reaching towards the sky as if welcoming them into their sanctuary.

The sunlight filtered through the canopy above, casting dappled patterns of light and shadow upon the forest floor. The gentle rustling of leaves and the chorus of unseen wildlife created a symphony of tranquility. It was a place untouched by the chaos of the Sith tomb, a haven of peace and safety.

Braze took in the scene, the tension in his muscles easing as he marveled at the beauty surrounding them. "Look," He turned to Aliris, a genuine smile playing on his lips. "We made it," he said softly, and out of breath.
He then promptly keeled over in to the grassy underbrush panting with exhaustion.

They were out.

Aliris took a deep breath of the fresh air before plopping down with a sigh of relief. There was nothing like fresh air to remind her just how stuffy that cave had been. She stayed where she sat, staring up at the sky. Her ship was close. She'd be able to take it and leave, whenever she wanted. Probably should, sooner rather than later. Especially if there were Jedi looking for the Padawan beside her.

Ah, right. What to do about him. She sighed. Frowned.

"So, what are you going to do now, Jedi?"

Braze Braze

Braze took a moment to catch his breath, relief flooding through him as the tension of the Sith tomb began to dissipate, replaced by a sense of respite in the serene jungle surroundings.

However, as the stillness settled around them, a storm brewed within Braze. His initial relief turned into frustration and anger. He turned to Aliris, his eyes burning with intensity as he demanded answers.

"Why, Aliris?" he exclaimed, his voice trembling with a mix of hurt and accusation. "Why did you betray me? Why did you steal my weapon and bleed my crystal? I don't understand why you would want to do anything like that?"

He leaned in closer, his voice now a low growl. " I thought we were allies. But you proved me wrong. To what end was all of that? Are you happy with yourself now? Happy with what you did? Happy with how your actions almost got us both killed?!"

Braze's gaze bore into Aliris, seeking an explanation that could justify her actions. He yearned for closure, for some understanding of why she had turned against him. His heart ached with the weight of betrayal.

Before Aliris could respond, their conversation was abruptly interrupted by a new presence in the forest. A figure emerged from the foliage, revealing himself to be Tirin, a Jedi Master who had been searching for Braze.

Before Aliris could respond, their conversation was abruptly interrupted by a new presence in the forest. A figure emerged from the foliage, revealing himself to be Tirin, a Jedi Master who had been searching for Braze.

Tirin's eyes narrowed as he observed the scene before him, sensing the tension and the raw emotions swirling between Braze and Aliris. He approached them cautiously, his voice calm yet authoritative.

"Braze, there you are,"
Tirin said, his tone laced with concern. "We've been searching for you."

Tirin's heliotrope eyes sparkled with a hint of curiosity as he surveyed the surroundings, taking in the tranquility of the moment. He was attuned to the subtle shifts in the Force, feeling the harmony and balance within the natural world around him. It was as if the very essence of the Force resonated through the vibrant tapestry of life in the forest.

"You seem to have found yourself a friend..." Tirin remarked, his voice carrying a soothing timbre. "Fear not child, for help has arrived."

His words resonated with quiet confidence as that somber violet gaze settled on the unfamiliar girl.
Tirin wore long flowing robes made from soft materials and rich colors, around his neck was a crystal gem on display in a fanciful vine motif setting,

Well there was the tantrum. She'd only saved him in case there was another part of the tomb to have to deal with. Two heads were better than one, even if she thought the other head was a bit daft. Now, though, all she had was regret. She frowned deeply, about to say something when another voice cut in. And immediately she grimaced. Another voice. Another person. She glared for a moment, then just turned to hurriedly walk to her ship. Just a head start, she knew what was coming next.

There was a confrontation, a minor challenge that met Aliris as she turned to flee the area. She could feel the sudden and intense sensation of a force flowing through the area all around her, engulfing and enveloping her person.

"Wait," Tirin's voice resonated, its tone infused with a calm authority. "There is something we must address before you flee, little one..." He called softly as he focoused only on her, and attempted to pluck her up and levitate her midair in an attempt to halt her sudden retreat. She could feel his presence suddenly at this moment as he observed her, and her own force signature, a rather gentle, but incredibly firm pressure being applied to any mental shields she may have had up trying to discern her emotional state and surface thoughts.

Braze on the other hand was some what stunned seeing Tirin show up here and blinked watching Ali start too dart off...

Crap.

She wasn't strong. She knew that much. At thirteen, she knew her limitations. The only real advantage she had was people underestimating her. Doubting her skill, anything she could take advantage of. Like this. She was pulled over, she was unable to break free, and she let her surface thoughts run rampant. Fear, anger, hate, all manner of childlike tantrum. Make use of her youth. "Let me go, damnit! This isn't okay! Get out of my head!"

Tirin held her mid-air and was surprisingly gentle. He didn't throw her, or slam her against anything, nor did it crush, suffocate, or feel at all painful. It was like weightlessness that surrounded her as her shoes left the ground.

He could feel her emotions running rampant, and he could feel her fear. Despite wanting to question her Tirin began to think better of it. He was debating drawing her back when Braze suddenly latched on to his arm. This drew his attention away from her and he ultimately released her gently letting his hold and sway on the girl go letting her fall harmlessly the ten inches or so back to her own two feet on the ground as his attention shifted momentarily to Braze who had seemingly latched on to him.

Braze saw what was happening and he felt torn. He knew if she was captured it very likely wouldn't go well for her and something stirred within him to intervene. Braze reached out and took hold of Tirin's arm in a pleading manner before shouting out.

"Run Goldy-Locks!" He called to Aliris as he tugged on Tirin. He didn't want to hurt the older Jedi nor did he want Ali to be caught for he was fearful of what would happen.

She was let go, and she didn't hesitate to scramble to her feet. She'd even set a hand on the dagger hidden behind her back, ready to strike. Except she didn't get the chance. Not because she couldn't, no she had every opportunity, but because of Braze's intervention. Confusion, followed quickly by annoyance, flashed across her face as she grit her teeth. Then took off in a mad sprint. She wasn't about to linger around with a Force User she knew was stronger, a Jedi.

"You're an idiot, you know that!?"

Tirin watched as the small girl vanished into the wilderness, concern etching his features. He turned his gaze back to Braze, a frown forming on his face.

"That was entirely uncalled for, little one,"
Tirin stated, his voice tinged with disappointment. He sighed, his eyes following the direction Aliris had scampered off in. Taking a deep breath, he focused his thoughts and extended his hand in front of himself, closing his eyes to connect with her through the Force.

His voice resonated in Aliris' mind, a gentle and soothing presence. It became apparent that Tirin possessed a remarkable proficiency in telepathy.

"Running in fear will only perpetuate a life lived in constant apprehension, robbing you of the freedom to embrace the world with confidence. Believing that fear and anger grant you power and victory is a tempting fallacy. Let me impart this truth upon you, young one—it is far better to be respected than to be feared. Fear may offer temporary control, but it fuels only short-lived bursts of strength. Respect, on the other hand, builds foundations of power that endure the test of time, surpassing the trials and tribulations that come your way. Return to your masters who revel in terror, and you will bind yourself to their feeble chains. But if you come back, I will show you the path of respect."

Tirin's words carried an air of wisdom and understanding, urging Aliris to consider a different course.

"Get the Kark out of my head you creep!"

She screamed, and with it, the Force reacted. Aliris didn't pay it much mind, but the ground shifted as she made her made dash for her ship. She needed to get away from this person. She wasn't able to defend her mind, not well enough to handle this kind of mentalist. If they chose to fight her, she wouldn't win. Let them think she was just a scared, angry kid. Hope that they didn't see her as a threat.

It was a frustrating. But she needed to survive.

As Tirin concluded his message, his presence gently receding from Aliris' mind, he opened his eyes and looked towards Braze, a sense of determination in his gaze. He knew that Ali had made her choice, and he respected her autonomy, but he couldn't let Braze wander off alone. It was his duty to ensure the young Jedi's safety and guide him back to the group.

And with that, she seemed to be home free. There were no further interruptions nor intrusions into her mind. It seemed this person didn't chase her down and let her flee. They did however collect Braze.
"Braze," Tirin called out, his voice firm but compassionate. "I understand your frustration, but you must understand the importance of safety and following the rules. Wandering off alone puts you at unnecessary risk."

Braze lowered his gaze, feeling a mix of guilt and realization wash over him. He knew Tirin was right, but his impulsive nature had gotten the better of him.

"I... I know, Master Tirin," Braze muttered, his voice filled with regret. "I shouldn't have gone off on my own. I'm sorry."

Tirin's expression softened, and he placed a reassuring hand on Braze's shoulder. "It's alright, Braze. We all make mistakes. The important thing is that we learn from them and grow stronger. Your safety is my priority, and I will do my best to guide you."

Braze nodded, a renewed determination shining in his eyes. He trusted Tirin and knew that he needed the guidance of an experienced Jedi like him.

"Thank you, Master Tirin," Braze said sincerely.

With that, they began their journey back, walking side by side. Tirin kept a watchful eye on Braze, ensuring they stayed on the right path and followed the Jedi code. The forest enveloped them in its tranquility as they moved, and Tirin imparted his wisdom to Braze, teaching him the importance of discipline, caution, and trust in their journey as Jedi.

As Braze walked alongside Tirin, his thoughts were consumed by the recent events and his encounter with Aliris. He glanced over his shoulder, a mix of worry and longing in his eyes as he thought about Ali vanishing into the wilderness. He couldn't help but wonder if she was safe, if she would be alright on her own. Part of him wanted to go after her, to protect her from any potential dangers that lurked in the unknown.

His mind drifted back to their conversations, the moments they had shared in the Sith tomb. He remembered the determination in her eyes, the fierce independence that resonated within her. Braze couldn't help but admire her spirit, even if their ideologies clashed. She had challenged him, questioned the very essence of what it meant to be a Jedi, and he found himself pondering her words.

He couldn't help but question himself, wrestling with the confusion that gnawed at his soul. Why did he still feel a connection to her despite the pain she had caused? Why did he yearn for her understanding and acceptance, even as he struggled to make sense of his own actions?

The absence of the crystal, a symbol of protection and confidence bestowed upon him by his father, left a void in his being. He couldn't help but reflect on all that had transpired, the choices he made, and the consequences that followed.

This only went to prove girls just made things complicated!
