The Sith Sphere possesses all the usual standard features necessary for a ship its class and purpose to operate efficiently. Among them are:
- Standard navigation
- Standard deflector shields.
- Standard weapon systems. (Turbolasers, point defense systems and similar class of weapons)
- Standard sublight engines
- Standard repulsorlifts
- Standard subspace and hyperspace communications
- The Pellucid Crown. Creates a bond between the pilot and the ship, allowing them to act as one.
- Illusions. The Sith Sphere exponentially increases the strength of the illusions and battle meditation made and done by a Sith Lord. Through Sith Magic vast fleets, armies and beasts can be shaped from the Force and participate in battle. As with the ancient old spheres of Naga Sadow, these illusions are tangible and effective.
- Alchemized Hull. The hull has been treated with various alchemical properties and has become virtually indestructible. It takes a lot of damage to breach it, much like any other Force-forged object.
- One: The Pellucid Crown creates a bond between the pilot and the ship. Reflexes, reaction speed, it is all enhances substantially.
- Sphere: Its main strength is its ability to enhance the strength of illusions and battle meditation. Much like the Spheres of Naga Shadow.
- Defense: Heavy defenses include an alchemized hull, reinforced key junctions and strong shields.
- Armament: Can dish out heavy damage on its own.
- Slug: Many ships its class can outpace it in speed.
- Bantha: It can't do much when it comes to maneuvering and needs to tank the damage it receives rather than dodge it.
- There can only be one: There is only one of them in a squadron, they need a lot of attention and maintenance. This means it heavily relies on backup from other sources to not get outflanked.
- The Light: Strong Lightside powers like Wall of Light have the potential of weakening the hull or even pushing back against the illusions the sphere enhances.
- Force Null: Catch it in an ysalamir field or something similar and its force-enhanced abilities are either weakened or completely turned inert.
- Crown: The Crown corrupts and enhances negative emotions during the connection. Those that pilot a Sith Sphere will find themselves pressed to take bigger and more dangerous risks for their own glory.
- Restricted: A novice can't sit down in it and suddenly craft great fleets out of illusions. Only a Sith Lord already powerful and competent in illusions, battle meditation and similar feats will be able to make proper use of the Sphere. It does not grant this ability, it simply enhances that which already exists substantially.
The Sith Meditation Spheres were glorious and amazing, their design, their strength, everything deadly and efficient. Together with Akure Executive Interstellar they created the next generation of Spheres exclusively for the ranks of the Sith Lords of the Empire. They are made and enhanced by Sith Alchemy to create the same power they had once wielded in the Great Hyperspace War.
A sufficiently powerful Sith Lord can shape fleets and more, enhanced through the sphere, to cause real damage to the opposite fleet.
Sadly this does not grant any new abilities. It is still reliant on the competence of the Sith Lord in question. A novice can't simply flop onto the sphere and suddenly craft legendary monsters, training and power is required. As with many of Cerbera's creations, this enhancement of strength does not come for free. Instead there are costs attached to it- the Crown's integration ensures that the more the Sphere is used, the deeper the Sith sinks themselves into the Darkside.
With every consequence that comes from it.
