SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Integrated Holonet Transceiver allows for long-distance communication over many light years, maintaining a strong connection between the probot and the Imperial starship it was launched from.
  • Should the probot come under threat of acquisition by enemy forces, it can activate an instantaneous self-destruct mechanism that would obliterate the droid by compressing and heating the surrounding atmosphere, thus creating a vacuum that provides a powerful implosion in a large radius.
STRENGTHS
  • Information Retrieval: The probot excels at acquiring, cataloging, and transmitting data back to its handlers in an efficient and coherent manner.
  • High Explosive: Should the probot come under threat of capture by enemy forces, or if the droid's probability algorithm calculates that the information it's holding could be retrieved by the Empire's foes after its bodily destruction, the probot will initiate a self-destruction sequence that completely eradicates the droid's physical body and everything around it for roughly one meter.
WEAKNESSES
  • Lightly Armed: Equipped with only two light blasters, the probot is not designed for extensive combat against enemy forces. It will use the weapons only if necessary and to impede its assailants so that it can make a quick get-a-way if possible.
  • Destruction Preferable To Capture: While the self-destruct mechanism is a handy way of keeping sensitive information out of enemy hands, the fact is that any information not transmitted back to the droid's handlers is permanently lost if the droid self-destructs.
DESCRIPTION

While the Sith Empire has its fair share of organic scouts and recon units, there's nothing more cheap or expendable than a small lightly armed probot whose sole prerogative is to investigate whatever planet it's been dispatched to and relay any pertinent information back to its handlers.

Typically launched from smaller support ships, the Sith-Imperial Probot maintains a strong connection between itself and the communication crew aboard its mother ship. The most prevalent information transmitted back by the droid is video logs of its surroundings, captured by its array of five highly sensitive photoreceptors. Teams of cybernetically enhanced technicians sift through hours upon hours of footage to acquire anything particularly relevant to Imperial operations in the area.

Highly sensitive information, such as data acquired via the probot's computer interface arm, is isolated and immediately dispatched to its handlers as soon as possible. Typically, such information is sliced directly from enemy computer terminals or other pieces of equipment discovered by the probot.

When threatened with capture or partial destruction, the probot will instead resort to destroying itself, the data it carries, and a significant portion of its nearby environment to prevent itself or its data from falling into enemy hands.
