History:
Titana Prime is a massive terrestrial world with an intense gravitational field and a massive electromagnetic field. The planet itself is uninhabitable due to the fatal effects 28x normal gravity has on the body of organics and synthetics alike. The gravitational pull of the planet is so intense that attempting a standard "low orbit" over the planet will trap most ships larger than a corvette in an inescapable fall towards the surface of the planet. Smaller craft (or the occasional large craft with exceptional engines) tend to suffer the same fate if they fail to turn and make their escape before reaching the outer layer of Titana Alpha's atmosphere. Hundreds of navigational beacons litter the space around Titana Alpha warning passing ships of the danger posed by passing too close to the massive planet.

While the planet itself is the third of the Sirat Wen system and sits well outside the habitable zone, the extreme electromagnetic field of the planet acts as a bubble of protection for the planet itself and those orbiting it. Within the protection of Titana's electromagnetic field, thermal radiation from the system's twin suns is ideal for supporting organic life.

Affiliation: The Galactic Empire
Population: 22 million
Demographics: 42% Humans, 56% Ragithian, 1% Chiss, 1% other
Points of Interest: Kestri Mountains, Kestri Wildlife Reserve, Lake Nortani

Description:
Revinth is nestled in the Kestri mountains near the equator of the world. The crystal blue water and sand beaches of Lake Nortani bring millions of tourists to the city every year. Spread out along the mountainous shore of what is the largest lake on Titana alpha, Revinth supports itself with commerce and income from casinos and other resort Establishment and its exportation of water to the worlds of the Sirat Wen system allowing the city to offer tourists free room and board.

History:
Revinth was established near the end of the Isolation period from what was a failed attempt to mine the mountains. The mining companies built the first of the luxury towers after flooding of the mines from the nearby lake and underwater caves proved too expensive to compensate for the ore being mined.

Points of Interest: Terath Spaceport

Description:
Terath is the nexus to Titana Alpha. It hosts the largest starport on the world and also features a wide range of accommodations for off world visitors who flock to the world to see its beautiful natural scenery. Tours from the city leave hourly giving the inhabitants of the desolate and more urbanized worlds a chance to visit the wild natural world. The city reached out two hundred kilometers in all directions sprawling with urban construction and towering spires massive farming , mining and industrial conglomerations. These mega bushiness control much of the world and its resources and profit largely from import and export duties. Their contracts with the galactic empire keep these conglomerations in power and limit the local less prominent farming and mining companies to only inter planetary commerce.

History:
Teranth was founded by a farming colony during the isolationist period and rapidly development and industry aided in making this the largest city on Titana Alpha. The City was the rose from the need to feed the inhabitants of the system when the hyperspace routes were cut off. Farming and mining companies exploded overnight growing in prominence and power. The local farm culture was pushed out away from the city towards the wilds as large corporate farming facilities took the surrounding farmland. While most of the food is produced today in corporate farms many of these local civilian farms still remain.

Classification: Mining city
Location: Dresdeena is located on Titana Prime.
Affiliation: The Galactic Empire
Population: 9 million
Demographics: 27% Humans, 72% Ragithian, 1% other
Points of Interest: Dresdeena Mines, Fighting pits of Hent, District 11, Sandspit (Cantina and Gambling house)

Description:
Dresdeena is a desert metropolis built on the site of the first mining settlement on Titana Alpha. It is a massive city, only second in size to Terath, ran by corrupt and criminal management as no blood relitives of the original claim holder of the Dresden mining company remain alive. Many speculate this is because of the criminal presence inside the company but no one has proof. The mega corporation of Dresden Mining holds more land claims then any other on Titana Alpha and what land it does not mine it leases to the farming conglomerations of Terath. With the second largest spaceport on Titana Alpha, it host any and all who land and offers any type of entertainment imaginable.
The fighting pits of hent have been a staple of entertainment for over five hundred years on Titana Alpha. Competitors from all over the system and now the galaxy come to the pits to prove they are the best. Many sadly die in the attempt. A massive gambling exchange was built on the back of the fighting pits and now control almost ten percent of the entire economy of Titana Alpha offering loans and taking bets on anything anyone wants to bet on.
District 11 offers depravity in all forms. Brothels and pleasure houses line the streets of the district and are never empty. In the center of the district sits the Sandspit, A cantina of sorts which is more like a united nations for smugglers and criminals of the Sirat Wen system.

History:
Dresdeena rose up around what was the original Dresden Mining colony settled nearly one thousand years ago. One of the oldest colonies on Titana Prime, Dresdeena has spent centuries claiming land and wealth. While no blood descendants remain the Corporation which is Dresden mining is one of the wealthiest and most corrupt company in the Sirat Wen system.
During the isolationist period the Company suffered as income across the system declined. During this time many criminal sorts entered into contracts with Dresden Mining and funded it for nearly five hundred years as it attempted to maintain business as usual with a sixty percent drop in mining revenue. Now much of the board and operations staff operate illegitimate operations using the company as a cover.

Classification: Mountain city
Location: Eranta is located on Titana Prime.
Affiliation: The Galactic Empire
Population: 1.7 million
Demographics: 37% Humans, 51% Ragithian, 9% Chiss, 3% other
Points of Interest: The Overlook, Free Trade Market

Description:
Eranta is the largest non-conglomerate controlled cities on Titana Alpha. It is often called "The Free City" The City sits high atop the Vendine Mountain and is the northern most city on Titana Alpha. To the south of the city the mountains open up into the Jericho plains where herds of livestock are raised. To the east The massive Jentou trench houses the Pelintan Mining Company, the largest non-conglomerate Mining companies on Titana Alpha. On the east quadrant of the city high atom Mount Lansta sits The Overlook. Here the founders decedent live and operate the city. 200 years ago the Free Trade Guild adapted a discovered chamber at the center of mount Lansta into a thriving subterranean bizarre. The Free Trade Market is where all non-conglomerate goods are bought and sold on Titana Alpha. Here you can buy anything imaginable.

History:
Eranta is one of the youngest major cities on the planet being settled only three hundred years ago by a Union of Free Miners. These miners united shares and claims to form the Free Mining Guild. This organization was short lived as all of its founding members vanished in a shuttle accident five years after its formation. As larger mining companies rushed to buy up the stock in the company it was the children of the founders who somehow force the larger conglomerations to concede in their attempts and embrace the Union of Free Miners. No one knows for sure why the larger companies backed down or what leverage the Free Miners had, but to this day the organization, now called the Free Trade Guild, maintains and operates most of the mines and farms on the northern plateau. Here free citizens can come and trade goods without fear.

Culture:
Stanch Imperial Citizens, the people of Titana Alpha see themselves as the first colony world of a proud Imperial nation, second only to Sirat Wen Prime. Hardy and hard working, Titanins work long hours in a variety of fields. From Farmers, Miners, and Fishers to Doctors, Teachers, Explorers, and Engineers, the people of Titana Alpha are some of the most dedicated and hard working in the Empire with each citizen dedicating his or her life to performing their job to the best of their ability, for the good of the Empire. The same dedication is even seen in Titanin families. Divorce is rare on the planet and the process of raising and teaching children is undertaken with the utmost dedication.

Technology: Hyperspace Capable

History:
Titana Alpha orbits the third planet of the Sirat Wen system and exists well outside its habitable zone. However, thanks to the intensely strong electromagnetic field created by Titana Prime, the planet is actually quite temperate. Until recent centuries, the planet had a wide and irregular wobble that caused drastic climate changes and dramatic tidal effects as well as numerous and near-constant storms. In spite of this, a number of species natived the planet and roughly 1 Billion Ragithians lived in a number of settlements on the more stable locations of the planet.

By 10 ABY, this had changed. With the introduction of a worldcraft to the system, Titana Alpha found itself with a stabilized orbit, reliable seasons, and tidal forces that worked like clockwork. For the next four hundred years, the Ragithians of Titana Alpha thrived. Numerous cities and resorts were built during this time, the people of Titana Alpha spreading out to a newly calm and nurturing world.

In 425 ABY, this would change. As plague and death spread through the galaxy and lashed out at Sirat Wen Prime, the Siratians lashed out at the galaxy. The S-thread boosters connecting the system to the rest of the galaxy were shut down and the Siratians launched a quick and ruthless war against the far less inhabited world of Titana Alpha. For the following 150 years, the native Ragithians lived as slaves, farming their homeland to feed their starving neighbors.

Reform in 583 ABY would change this, Ragithians were freed and welcomed as full citizens of Sirat Wen's Imperial nation. Though resentment remained within the Ragithian population for generations to follow, peace and prosperity graced the world again. By 720 ABY, much had been forgotten and forgiven by the Ragithian population who now saw themselves as just as much Imperial Citizens as their Sirat Wen Prime neighbors.

Culture:
Titana Beta, the artificial worldcraft that orbits Titana Prime, is home only to the Imperial Knights. Though they do host a number of open academies for enlisted and officers of the Imperial military as well as allow a number of force sensitive politicians to visit their temple. The Imperial Knights are a militant order of force users that utilize the lightside of the force. These force users believe that the Siratian Empire is the galaxy's best hope for order and believe that this Empire can restore balance to the force. For this reason, the Imperial Knights serve the Siratian Empire above all else and will gladly kill for the Siratian Empire or lay down their lives in its defense. These red-armored warriors exist outside the chain of command and are able to insert themselves into any Imperial operation they deem to be in need of their skills. In spite of this, individual Imperial Knights can assume a temporary rank during special assignments where the current leadership is either unable or unworthy of continuing on with command.

The Imperial Knights are lead by a Council of Masters known as Imperial Barons. This council charges each member of its order with protecting the Siratian Empire as both a Police and Military force and holds each member of their order accountable for their actions. Though violence, combat, and the use of destructive abilities are authorized, members who display any signs of corruption will be investigated and guided back to the light or removed as a potential threat to the stability of the Siratian Empire. It is in this same manner that the Imperial Knights observe the actions of all Imperial Council members. From their own order to the Moffs, Admirals, and Generals, the Imperial Knights seek to identify any person of authority that is a detriment to the Siratian Empire and will either guide them back to the goals and ideals of their glorious empire, or they will remove the threat via a quick and merciless execution.

Technology: Hyperspace Capable

History:
The artificial world of Titana Beta has long been rumored to be infamous Rebirth of centuries gone by, though no hard evidence exists to support this claim. Like the historic Rebirth, it is known that the artificial world that orbits Titana Prime was born over Coruscant at the whim of Emperor Palpatine himself. Later captured by the New Republic, the artificial world was whisked away to an unknown location where it could be studied safely and kept well out of reach of any Imperial faction. To facilitate this, Republic representatives contacted the diplomatic council of Csilla with promises of valuable trade agreements should they aid the republic in hiding the world.

Already aware of the remote world of Sirat Wen (which hosted a democratic society at the time) and the complicated network of hyperspace lanes that connected the system to the rest of the galaxy, the Chiss diplomats proposed the system as the final resting place for the artificial world. The Siratians, for their part, agreed to the arrangement under the condition that the world be placed around Titana Prime in such a way that it stabilized the (then erratic) orbit of Titana Alpha. Finding this acceptable, the worldcraft was transported to the Sirat Wen system immediately by a combined effort of Chiss and Republic engineers. It would take a further four years before the worldcraft could be placed in a stable and non-decaying orbit around Titana Alpha, but the New Republic eventually did make good on its promise to use the world to stabilize the planet of Titana Alpha and calm the storms and tidal forces that ravaged the planet.

A century later, the worldcraft lay forgotten by the New Republic. Her hyperdrive disabled and much of the worldcraft's control systems locked down and hidden beneath layers of dirt and rock and nullification resin, the world was left to remain as little more than what the Siratians desired, a habitable moon over Titana Alpha devoid of the powerful weapons and protective shielding that other such artificial moons are rumored to possess. Though some members of the Csillan and Republic engineers remained in the system, most returned to their previous homes and never again speak of the distant planet. The Siratians themselves eventually forgot that the artificial moon had not always been there.

Around 184 ABY a small sect of force sensitives claiming to be an order of Grey Jedi stumbled upon the distant system of Sirat Wen. Drawn to the small moon of Titana Alpha, the order reported themselves as vagrant monks looking for a home and requested permission to create a settlement on the uninhabited moon. Forgetting the history of the craft, the Siratians and Titanins agreed to allow the monks to settle on the small world.

The inhabitants of the Sirat Wen system would not think about the small moon again until 425 ABY when plague and starvation ravaged the world of Sirat Wen Prime, prompting a violent expansion of control over the other life-supporting planets of the system in the name of finding and providing food for their billions of citizens. While the order of monks met violence with violence in the defense of their home, diplomatic agents were later able to explain the desperate situation to the monks. Seeing the righteousness of the act, the monks of Titana Alpha's moon agreed to allow the farming of their world so long as the temples they had built would remain untouched.

What would be revealed during the 400 years to follow was that the order of Grey Jedi were in fact a surviving group of Imperial Knights, exiled from their home as Sith forces took control of the distant Fel Empire. Though they had kept their identity a secret, their history and ideals remained the same, and much of their temple archive was devoted to holicrons containing the history and teaching of their former home. While the desperate needs of the Siratians inspired the surviving Knights to lend their aid to the planet, it was the sudden appearance of an Imperial-style government in their galactic neighbors that truly inspired the Knights to take action. Seeing it as a sign, and the reason behind their ancestors being drawn to the world of Rebirth so many centuries before, the surviving Imperial Knights took it upon themselves to aid this fledgling empire.

Quietly and loyally, the Imperial Knights remained on Titana Beta and established a number of Academies for officers and enlisted of the new empire. From there they worked to train and shape both the abilities and minds of those that were sent to the small world. It would not be until 844 ABY that this would change. As the system's S-Thread boosters are reactivated and the system is once again connected to the rest of the galaxy, a flood of representatives and refugees of distant empires finds their way to Sirat Wen. Among them, the Knights are startled to find other surviving remnants of their own order.

Intent: To create a plausible capital planet for a Galactic Empire, and to create a plausible Class 2 Civilization in the Star Wars setting based on the Kardashev Scale.

A very lovely and well-written planetary sub.

However there will need to be one change. After some deliberation and speaking with [member="Valiens Nantaris"], we're going to require that you change Rebirth from a Worldcraft into a normal moon.

Reasons being thus:

A worldcraft is essentially a massive ship. One that exceeds the allowable standards set by factory for factions.
Though it is explained that the hyperdrive/engines are inoperable we are unwilling to set the precedent for such tech that is supposed to be exceedingly rare or leave open an opportunity for it to be repaired and claimed by a faction.
Its origins as a canon piece also do not sit well.

I personally do love the lore and history you have written for this and can understand an unwillingness to break away from the original idea. However my hands are tied. If you feel the need to contest this I advise you speak directly to Valiens (though he is on LOA this weekend so you may not get a reply from him until next week).

[member="Lorelei Darke"]

I absolutely understand. I figured it was a long shot, but it was such an interesting and unique idea that I had to try and play it out.

It's going to take me a little while to figure out how to change this up, as Rebirth was a part of this project before any of the other planets even had names.

Just... the concept that the worldcraft was there played a huge part in shaping the history, structure, and justifications for much of the system.

So that's going to require a fair bit of adjustments across both this submission and the primary planet's submission, as well as the chronological history for the solar system itself.

I'll tag you once I figure this out.

[member="Lorelei Darke"]

I have a plan for the planet. But I've got a busy week ahead of me.
I'll tinker with this as I can. I have all the hyperlinks set aside and the general concept down... I just need to write it out.

I'm going to turn the planet into a vergence. Lots of temples and force sensitive creatures... But the main thing is that the planet will wane from dark to light as the Empire itself wanes from dark to light. By meditating on the planet, the Imperial Knights can monitor "the Soul of the Empire" and decide which actions they need to take to help shape the future of the Galactic Empire.

Very well.

So long as you understand that a Vergence of the Force does not equate to a Force Nexus or Force Wound like what can be found on Ziost or Byss. Vergences do not lend power to Force Users, but are observed to produce force sensitive things and are typically a result of a great struggle between the Lightside and the Darkside.

The stipulation here is that power cannot be drawn from a Vergence.

If that is what you were working towards, then you would be looking at a Nexus, in which case a planet-wide Force Nexus would require a serious dev thread.

Please let me know your thoughts.

I will be leaving for a ten day vacation on the 5th so I want to check in on this for a status update.

If you do not have it ready before I leave, simply tag [member="Snowflake"] and alert her to assign you a new CJ, or if she likes she can simply take over for me.

Otherwise let me know when you have this ready.

This is being moved to the Pre-Codex for edits and updates. As discussed per your request:

The original ruling on the use of Rebirth still stands due in part to its status as an iconic canon subject.

I will, however, allow the use of an unnamed worldcraft if you remove the connection to the canon Rebirth and reaffirm that it is "civilian" only, with no military capabilities (zero defenses) and no hyperdrive capabilities. It may be implied it is thought to be Rebirth with no real proof on the matter. The only other worldcraft I have permitted for use in Codex has no connection to prior canon named crafts and met the aforementioned criteria.

Ok, so, we'll be doing this a piece at a time - you know the drill, lol.

"The gravitational pull of the planet is so intense that attempting a standard "low orbit" over the planet will trap any ship larger than a corvette in an inescapable fall towards the surface of the planet. Smaller craft suffer the same effects once they reach the outer layer of Titana Alpha's atmosphere."

The thresholds would be the same.

[member="Ashin Varanin"]

It took me a minute, but I get what you're leaning towards.

The pull of gravity is constant, regardless of the mass of the object being pulled towards a particular planet, but the amount of counter-force(thrust) required to stop and reverse an already falling object would very much be dependent on the mass of an object. Equal and opposite force and all that.

Since a "standard orbit" already involves gravitational pull and forward momentum to counter that pull by pushing a ship around a planet instead of down towards it, a ship would already be under the effect of X gravity. My logic is that, by the time most captains realize the gravitational pull is far above standard for a terrestrial giant of that size, they would already need more thrust-per-mass than their ship can pump out to counter the effects of the gravity upon them.

Since SW Chaos uses a speed rating instead of a thrust/mass = ROA system, then Corvettes are faster than Star Destroyers because they have a higher thrust/mass ratio. Thus they would be able to escape this particular planet's gravity, while a Capital Ship would not.

Or... That's my logic anyway.

Also, for reference, the rest of the system.

I'm fine with that logic, but not with a hard dichotomous threshold. Would a Very Slow corvette fail to escape? Would a Star Destroyer with Extreme speed be able to escape? It's a big messy continuum, so I'd prefer less concrete language.

[member="Carradine Dukal"]

Made it more vague.

"The gravitational pull of the planet is so intense that attempting a standard "low orbit" over the planet will trap most ships larger than a corvette in an inescapable fall towards the surface of the planet. Smaller craft (or the occasional large craft with exceptional engines) tend to suffer the same fate if they fail to turn and make their escape before reaching the outer layer of Titana Alpha's atmosphere."

Okay, a couple more things:
- All your image links are broken, and new images will need to be cited to Codex standards.
- A vergence is fine, as long as you clarify that drawing power from it isn't a thing.
- Please specify that your worldcraft of 580 million people can't get up and move, unless you've already specified that.
- You say the place is full of Imperial Knights, but I need some idea of the numbers involved. Last time something like that got stamped, the writer turned around and started claiming that the planet had billions of Jedi. You wouldn't do that, but there's a need for specificity.
