Silver Jedi 101: Introduction to Us

Aika Kawakami

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
What a day it had been, and the afternoon had only just began. Waking with an absurdly horrible headache, and a memory so fuzzy most would think they'd have been drugged the day before, she wasn't sure what else was in store for her. Sadly, the one option she wanted, bed, apparently wasn't on the list. It seemed that, in her infinite wisdom, she had scheduled a sort of mass class for the Silver Jedi's newest padawans. It made no sense to her. She was not one of the Orders instructors. Why, in heavens name, would she set a time for all of them to be with her at once? It made no sense, but it was something she'd now have to deal with. Whether she wanted to or not, and she certainly wasn't sure this was something she could handle.
So there she stood, staring at the empty stairs of the their temple, a heavy sigh escaping her lips as she awaited the arrival of those who had shown an apparent interest. In truth, part of her hoped that they didn't show up. Then she wouldn't have to be worried or nervous. She could pretend like none of it ever happened. But, was her luck ever that good? Ever? Even once? No...

Matsu rolled her shoulders at what was coming, more because as she stood there in the glistaweb trenchcoat and shell spider cloths her eyes trailed along the walls. She entered the room and stood there removing the hat letting her curtain of hair frame hr face. A small smile upon seeing Aika while the former jedi master moved forward wit a small tapping of her boots on the floor. "Aika." Matsu stopped and went to a seat as she slid in and brushed off her coat. "This will be a welcome experience."

Along swept Niamh, slightly hopped up on coffeine from a long night of working on contracted goods. Teria was nowhere to be seen (she'd managed to convince the woman that she couldn't possibly be any safer than she was now and that she should go spend time with her flyboy). Bounding around, she hurred to make her appointment, coming along right behind [member="Aika Kawakami"] and leaping right over top of her to land near [member="Matsu Ike"] where she took a seat and grinned.

"Howdy."

She continued to walk through the Temple halls, lost in thoughts about what should she do. Maybe she shouldn't trust the Knight or help him but something in her heart was making her, she couldn't understand or control. She thought that the class today would help her clear her head, so she had to go there. Then, she realized that she already arrived, seeing she was a little early too. She smiled sincerely and bowed to them, then took a seat, and with a shy tone she spoke "Umm... Hello."

Walking through the temple halls Siather had high hopes for this training session, most of the recent training sessions had been like this a master guiding a group of padawan through a concept. This method was certainly good for building strong teamwork. The Gand was just pleased to not have to work alone. He stepped into the room and mimicked a grin. He wasn’t wearing the distinctive rebreather he didn’t feel the need to conceal anything from his fellow Jedi.

He bowed respectfully to [member="Aika Kawakami"]. “Thank you for inviting this one to this training session, you do Gand a great honor to have taken the time to train him.”

Taking a seat beside the other padawan the Gand waited patiently for the master to begin the lesson.

It seemed like all the Padawan had been doing was training as of late, but he didn’t mind in the least. In fact, he welcomed any chance to improve upon his own skills and learn from his mistakes. That was the only way to get better, and if Knighthood was his goal than he had many more training sessions ahead of him.
So it was that he was looking forward to the chance to train under a new Master as he walked the halls of the temple in his Jedi robes, as was per usual, though he’d neglected to wear the dark brown hooded cloak, wanting to be as unencumbered as possible. Chi’Yara had a feeling he would be thankful for such a thing later. Maybe it was his own instinct, or perhaps he was getting more skilled at directing the Force.
As he arrived where the other Padawans and the sole Master had gathered his jade gaze flicked over the group, taking in both the familiar and unfamiliar faces. He bowed politely to the only Master in attendance before sitting himself.

A nervous sigh escaped her slightly parted lips as she eyed those who now sat before her. In truth, she really didn't know what to say to them all. It wasn't like it was her who directly planned it. That said,it was too late to turn back now. Her lips curled into a warm yet nervous smile as her hands clasped together before her. It was obvious that Matsu would be able to read her like a book, but she could only hope the others wouldn't see through her facade so easily.

"Good morning. Uh.. All of you are here for the same reasons. Your special, different from others around you. Your here because you've manifested abilities that most can't, and for one reason or another, you've decided to try and change the galaxy for the better. But you can't do it alone. None of us can. You need allies, friends." Her words stopped for a second as a deep exhale was expelled. "You have abilities, powers if you will, that you have to learn to control before you can help others with them. That is our goal. But that can't be done if we don't trust one another. And, you can't trust someone if you don't know them. So, I'd like each of you to stand and tell us about yourself. Who you are; where your from; what drives you. That type of thing."

As her eyes glanced over the few, her gaze fell upon the young, pale skinned girl. She didn't know why, but it felt as if they had met before. And the sudden reddening of her own face didn't hide what may have been going through her mind. "Uh... we can start with you, and everyone else can take turns after. So, please.."

She figured that meant her when it came down to it. Yeah, she had special abilities, but she had a lot of special abilities. It sort of came with the name, so to speak. She wondered if she would ever have any kids that would follow in her name. That would be cool. Of course she couldn't think about that much at the moment, and she certainly wasn't letting a guy make that one happen.

So she stood up.

"Hey everyone. I'm Niamh Raste, apprenticed to Saki the Beast Puncher. I own Eshan Industrial Corporation, which is a combination tech and ship company based on Eshan. Oh and I used to lead Wraith Squadron for the Republic."

She grinned at everyone and then sat back down.

Dagos was late…again. It seemed to be turning into a habit of his, not the best one to have but clearly it wasn’t the worst either, it was just something else for him to work on.
He sauntered into the area with the rest of the padawaans, his light sandy colored attire pressed neatly, clearly well taken care of.

his hair had grown longer in the time at the temple, in place of his normal short fade cut were the beginnings of tight little black curls. He ran his hand through those curls as Niahm Raste introduced herself. She was a very pretty young woman and a ceo as well, had to mean she was also very smart, on top of all that she was being trained directly by Saki, she would make a very good JedI.the order was lucky to have her.

“Uh, Dagos Terrek. Apprentice to Master Ru.” He called out from the back, a hand raised in the air to introduce himself.

She was bad at speaking, especially in front of people. After hearing [member="Aika Kawakami"]'s words, she sighed, knowing it would be awkward for her. She started to think what she would say, she didn't want to just stand silently and let them think that she's weak. As the padawans stood up and introduced themselves one by one, she realized that the next one was her. She took a big breath, stood up and cleared her voice. "I am... uh Nima Tann." she started to shake as she realized she forgot what she was going to say. "Good going, Nima. Shake more and you'll look like a total loser." she thought to herself, then collected herself and continued. "My stepfather was a Jedi here before he... he was killed in a mission."

Matsu listened to the other padawans introduce themselves and she had a small grin on her face as she slid from the seat. Looking at Aika who seemed nervous more so while the jedi turned her head slowly taking in the sight of everyone there. The glistaweb robes gleaming in the light while she stood there and started speaking with her pale skin framed by near ankle length black hair. "I am Matsu Ike, formerly a jedi master in the Order and Republic but things have happened and much has changed. I am glad to be here with all of you."

Listening to the others introduce themselves the Gand padawan noticed how much others seems to have accomplished comparatively. Some of them had Masters dedicated to their training, he wasn’t jealous of the attention but he was anxious to prove himself. He waited for the others to finish before taking his own turn. “This one is known as Siather Det'aan, he was training to be a findsman when a Jedi discovered his abilities and brought him here for training. Gand has not accomplished anything of note but this one is pleased to be here to learn with you fine folks and he is looking forward to demonstrating his abilities.”

As he listened to the others speak he formulated what exactly he was going to say, speaking after [member="Siather Det'aan"] introduced himself, standing up himself. "Chi'Yara, from Corellia as it were. My Master would be Xander Carrick, though I've been training in an environment something like this since I've arrived. What drives me...just to protect the people of the galaxy and do the best I can to keep the peace. That sort of thing." Well, it wasn't his most eloquent speech, but it was something.
With that he sat once more, glancing to the few others that still hadn't spoken.

She was a little bit late for all the introduction that had to come, but it was only normal for such a young little girl to be placed within the big temple. She had her teddy bunny in one hand while her other hand, was under the bun of the bunny to keep it at place. She heard voices and decided to go inside. She very slowly opened the door and said, "Hello~ Is this class, bunny head?~" She spoke very adorable with her young voice as the girl her eyes seemed to have focused to the number 101 "Yes class bunny head~" She said as she saw the class saying, "Mister Bunny, see! They eat all their carrots~"

A smile couldn't help but form across her face. She had half expected everyone to stay quiet, and simply stare at her, but the overwhelming eagerness to respond seemed to bring a kind of warmth to her being. Her head nodded to them. "Well, I guess it's my turn then. I am Jedi Master Aika Kawakami. I haven't been a master for as long as some of the others.. I'm also a bit different from them. I carry no weapons. Not even a saber, though I do possess them and the ability to do so." Her hand rose, finger pointing at her the sparkling orange crystal hanging from around her neck.

"I am a master of telepathy and telekinesis. While I don't flaunt it, in all honesty, I'm probably the most well versed in these..." The words halted, thinking that she was beginning to ramble. "Uh.... Okay! Will everyone please grab a partner! Someone that interests you.. Choose wisely. Because your both going to get to know one another very well..."

Matsu listened to the rest making sure to memorize their words while she stood up to pick a partner as it were and placed her hands in her pockets while looking out at all of them. Plenty of ones here of interest but who had she not met before? Pretty much all of them except maybe in passing and she was counting. For the moment they were uneven and she would wait to let them have a partner first.

Ahh, but they wouldn't be uneven for long.

Niamh had been paying very close attention to Master Kawakami when she was speaking. First she had seemed incredibly nervous. Then, when she got an overwhelmingly quick response, she'd been happy. Something told Niamh that the woman wasn't overly comfortable around people. She didn't really know what that was like, because she was somewhat of a social butterfly.

So, while everyone else went a chatting away and trying to figure out partners, she stood up. And she walked over to Aika, looking at her.

"There's an odd number of us, so I choose you."

Pondering on the instructions for a moment Siather looked at each of the other padawan his compound eyes giving him a view of all of them all at once. He wondered if any of them had any hope of understanding his mind if they were going to form a telepathic link. He could push forward impressions and thoughts they would understand because he had some experience dealing with humans and humanoids but his very nature meant his mind operated vastly different from their own. He would let them choose for themselves, anyone looking for a challenge was welcome to work with him but he would not force that challenge on any of them.

Ricardt watched, unnoticed seemingly. He rested his right hand index finger on his chin, watching the happenings of the introduction. It was curious to see all these padawans, ever since he finished his Jedi Initiate trials he had missed the company of others. As an Archaeologist assigned with the Republic, but loyalty to the Silver Jedi, he had minimal social life. His specialisation accompanied with his age mean't he was capable of independence on missions and often worked alone. It wasn't a dangerous job to dig in the soil. At least, not typically. He often found out otherwise.

When the others gave their introductions, he was surprised by Niamh. He raised his brows by her introduction. It wasn't for her list of titles and history, but rather the way in which she had said it. Perhaps she didn't intend it to come off the way it did, but it sounded egotistical. Ricardt smiled when Dagos spoke, he knew of Master Ru. Not personally, but he had been in possession of her former apprentices Holocron, for a time. Ricardt raised his hand quietly once everyone had taken their turn, prior to Aika, "Ricardt Darkmourne, archaeologist."

It was time to choose partners. A prospect he found enormously attractive. His assignments very rarely gave him the luxury of partners, often participating in archaeological finds alone. It was for a jack of archaeological-focused Jedi, and the Exploration Corps gave him the small leads whilst their main force took a handle of the big finds. Ricardt placed his gaze upon the Gand. He stepped forward and motioned towards him, "Don't mind if I accompany you?"

Master of Her Own Destiny
As she heard [member="Aika Kawakami"]'s words, she started to think what she meant when saying they'll know each other very well, but it gave her a excitement. Learning new things was always the top priority of Nima, and learning this would help her somewhat, and the thought of learning could help her clear her head a little. So, she watched everyone choosing their partners. Because of her shyness, she just waited silently for everyone to finish choosing, then she would become a team with the last one. But... she was interested in [member="Matsu Ike"]'s story. Why did she degraded to Knight from Master? She had to learn that, so... with her head down, she slowly moved towards her and then, she tried to talk. "I... uhm... Can I choose you?" she said, shyness and the fear of speaking to people could be read from her voice.
