Strengths:
- Interchangeable Weapon System: Three weapons in one. Is there anything more needed to be said? Versatile and reliable.
- Shatter gun tech: Magnetic field principle firing mechanism leads to extreme velocity of projectile and the delivery of substantial kinetic impact upon the target making this a lethal and dangerous weapon. The polarizing field insulation liner gives the firing mechanism an additional emp/ion resistance, just a little bit though nothing too radical.
Weaknesses:
- Burden of change: As much as it is versatile, having three weapons in one doesn't mean you can press 1, 2 or 3 on your keyboard and have the rifle change its variant within a second. It takes time and it can be fatal if the timing in battle is wrong.
- Ammo Cap: Although slugs + mag field acceleration is deadlier than most blasters, blasters and generally ranged energy weaponry are superior due to their impossibly high ammo capacities, dropping weight of mags on the wearer and easing logistics of the whole army greatly.
DESCRIPTION
The 141 Interchangeable Weapon System was designed to be a versatile, service rifle for The Sith Empire's Legion. Utilizing a magnetic field acceleration as a firing mechanism, similar to the verpine shatter rifles, the 141 IWS is a very capable and lethal weapon. 5.56 is what the IWS is cartridged for easing logistic for the whole Legion, while relying on the magnetic field acceleration to deliver extreme damage upon the foe.
Under and over barrel railing system allows modularity of scopes, grenade launchers, underbarrel shotguns and etc, while the barrel can be fixated with universal grenade/rocket dischargers if necessary. It also has a bipod for the DM variant.
All in all, the 141 IWS is a more than standard service rifle that gives troops an extra versatility factor and easing on logistics making it a dangerous and unpredictable weapon.
