- Carrier Warship: Equipped with powerful weaponry and shielding, the Sidious-class simultaneously serves as a fighter carrier in fleet engagements; carrying up to a total of sixteen strikecraft squadrons.
- Slow: Long and lumbering, the Sidious-class is a meticulous giant amongst the smaller and more nimble Sith-Imperial warships of the Armada. Because of this, the Sidious-class is typically reserved for the rear of fleets.
Developed from schematics acquired from the First-Imperial shipyard facility over Sluis Van, the Sidious-class Star Battlecruiser was the second in a new series of naval warships built for the Sith Empire off of First Order designs.
Lacking intimacy with First-Imperial technology, the Sith Empire recruited many former First Order officers, technicians, and engineers to the Sith-Imperial Corps of Engineers to better adapt and improve upon First Order technology acquired during the Order's collapse in 856 ABY.
Many military officials from the disintegrating First Order would find service aboard these new vessels, their expertise becoming an invaluable asset to their new Sith overlords.
