STRENGTHS
  • Chessmaster: Regent Droids are incredibly intelligent, impressively adaptable, fairly creative, and in possession of truly enormous amounts of memory - perfect for storing vast amounts of historical data so as to better predict the future.
  • Digital Fortress: Outfitted with the latest and greatest in anti-slicing countermeasures, compromising the loyalty of one of these is a truly herculean task, their processors offering fierce resistance to the bitter end, often to the point of self-destruction.
WEAKNESSES
  • "Highly Illogical": While far more creative than the average droid, Regent Droids are, at their core, "perfectly logical" - they may be able to anticipate illogical actions from opponents, but struggle to understand them.
  • Noncombatant: Regent Droids are unarmed and primarily designed to withstand environmental hazards, not actual combat.
  • Eccentric: A consequence of their incredible intelligence and aggressive security protocols that make selective mind-wipes all-but-impossible, Regent Droids tend to develop personality quirks as they remain in service - rarely do they ever grow disloyal, but finding out that your droid governor has started collecting poisonous critters or banned the colour red can certainly be an annoying surprise.
DESCRIPTION
Among the most intellectually-capable entities ever produced by TriTech's cyberneticists, Regent Droids are built around bleeding-edge droid brains, the rest of their bodies being mostly replaceable - because of this, many tend to tinker with their forms over the years, if their owners permit it, with one infamously quirky model assigned to the Erakhis' Marine Corps replacing his chassis with an SX-series Commando Droid, wearing a decidedly anachronistic admiral's hat, and charging into battle alongside "his lads" wielding a vibrosword - behaviour only tolerated because it has somehow proven successful.

Lauded for their intellect and infamous for their personality quirks, TriTech's Regent Droids have found themselves placed into a wide range of different roles, from naval strategists to civic administrators and private tutors to planetary governors! Their base personality programming tends towards meticulousness and a vague smugness, but given their tendency towards eccentricity, this is more of a starting point than anything else.
