Private Shotgun Reunion

Hound from the Underground
Still trying to assess what had happened, Yuri barely spared a glance at Alora when she entered the cockpit. "No clue what happened. We just got yanked outta hyperspace. Gam, see if you can reboot your systems. Power down if you have to." He spoke up as he fiddled with the dashboard. After concluding that there was nothing he could do at the moment, he sat back and turned to look at his aunt.

The gash on her head drew him to his feet in an instant. "Auntie, sit down. Lemme look at ya." He spoke with authority as he ushered her to a seat to inspect the wound. Luckily it was a simple gash, nothing serious as far as he could see. Giving her a tap on the shoulder and a smile, Yuri sat back down and turned to face the console once more. "Dunno what caused this. Scanners are all over the place, we can't go outside 'cause we don't know what's out there. Could be a gravity well, interdictor ship, anything's possible." He reported as he sat back in his seat.

Before he could proceed to make a witty remark, the ship began to shudder and move, causing the tractor beam warning to flicker and whine. "Well... that narrows it down." He quipped with a false smile. As the ship drifted through space, it managed to rotate just enough to allow the occupants a glimpse of their captors.

An imperial interdictor ship. The enormous vessel loomed over them in all its might, but something was off about it. The weapons weren't ready and one hangar bay had its atmospheric shield disabled, leaving the entire bay open to the void. What seemed to be people were drifting lifelessly past the Gambit as they were tugged toward a docking ring. Yuri glanced at his aunt with a concerned look. "I'll go an' get my kit." He spoke as he rushed off to get his armour.

Alora looked over at Yuri as she strode toward the consoles to take a look. Kid was being all responsible and even telling Gambit what to do to try and solve issues. Bold brat. A quiet snort followed as her honeyed eyes scanned over some of the jumbled readouts. Certainly wasn't typical for the systems to get knocked for such a loop. Interdiction was annoying, but not that disruptive normally.

Suddenly Yuri was on his feet and giving her orders then. "What's the big deal?" Alora chuckled as she let Yuri lead her to a seat for his inspection. Now who was the one being overprotective? Like both of them hadn't lived lives full of bruises, cuts, and gashes. But it didn't hurt to have someone that cared hovering about.

A shrug and shake of her head accompanied Yuri deciding it was a minor wound and relenting.

"Well, I was expecting someone to try intercepting us." Perhaps it was an interdiction field. Could be a nebula around them to conceal them visually. Not that most people were probably passing through outside of hyperspace to see anything. Kind of seemed... unnecessary, really.

Her eyes widened when indications of a tractor beam flared. "What? Someone can see us?" Someone figured out a way to catch them? She shot out of the seat and step back up to the controls.

"I suppose it's a bit late to mention navigational engines are back online," the Gambit quipped.

With thin lips, Alora stared out the window as another ship came into view. Imperials? Not exactly the people she'd expected to be involved. Not to mention the odd state of the ship. "Better hurry. Our main docking port is the belly of the ship," which just happened to be where most activity with guests occurred, such as welcoming Yuri on board and where his kit lay. If the other ship still had gravity it'd be an awkward joining too; two perpendicular ships. Though that was weird too... why a docking ring and not a hanger bay?

Though it might work in their favor. "Gam, see if you can connect with this other ship and figure out what's going on. Yuri and I can work on the tractor beam and interdiction field generator." Doubtful these people had those systems networked in for a remote shutdown, so might as well plan on that being their responsibility.

Certain her records were locked, Alora turned to follow Yuri downstairs. She had a helmet to claim for herself in case the blaster bolts started firing.

With the small crew scrambling to prepare for the sudden surprise, Yuri quickly suited up and slid his helmet on. He turned to glance at Alora, making sure she was ready as well. There was no indication of what was going on for the moment. Once they were all set, Yuri prepared for the docking ring to connect to their new hosts. His pistols were at the ready in case someone tried to board them.

But when the docking ring slid open... there was nothing.

No guards or escorts to take them into custody. Just an empty hallway with emergency lights flickering around them. Yuri carefully entered the ship to study their surroundings, the only oddity that greeted him was a blood smear and the corpse of an Imperial officer. :: Found a body. :: He reported to Alora and Gambit. The man looked mangled, torn apart by some barbaric entity. :: Hallway's completely empty. No other sign of life. :: He continued as he raised his weapons and proceeded forward.

A security camera caught his attention. He seemed to catch their attention as well, since the camera started to follow him. He came to a halt, studying his surroundings. Finally the eerie silence was broken by an announcement. :: Unidentified individuals, connect your comms to channel six-three-seven. ::

The speaker cut out, leaving the Mandalorians in deadly silence once more. Yuri spared a glance at Alora but relented and adjusted his commlink to the given channel.

:: Identify yourselves. :: He spoke firmly.

:: Thank goodness, you joined. Listen, we need your help. We lost control of our ship. Please tell me you have weapons. :: The unknown voice answered with a desperate tone. His voice shivered with fear. Yuri remained quiet as he studied their position, unsure of how to respond. He turned to look at his aunt for a suggestion. "Something don't feel right, auntie." He remarked.

Alora locked her helmet in place and checked both disruptors. Must have been the nebula. That's how they found Gam. Wake in the gases. As someone accustomed to getting in and out of places unseen, the fact they'd been snared did gnaw at her.

With a nod, she signaled for Yuri to set things up. It was upsetting, but they had a job to do. Gam could probably slice their systems and figure out the 'how' while they figured out a way to escape. They all had a job to do, so it was time to get to it.

Both disruptors were directed toward the channel between ships once the doors opened. Only there wasn't anyone there to shoot. Didn't make any sense, and she followed Yuri a few steps back as he moved forward. Young pup should have let her go first. Really did take after Shai.

Yuri's report of a body was noted, but she didn't have anything pertinent to say yet, so she kept the comm clear. She'd always acted out even in serious situations, but times like these were different. Idle chatter could cause them to hear an enemy approaching or laying in wait. They were two Mandalorians on the hunt.

Alora turned her gaze around at their surroundings and down at the body for a quick scan. Even if she didn't see anything, the feed could be analyzed by Gambit too.

A voice suddenly filled the corridor and directed them to a comm channel. Another damn peculiar situation. A ghost ship had abducted them, and now wanted to have a conversation. If Alora wasn't 'Force Dead' she might have felt goosebumps. Were they about to find out the damn ship was actually haunted?

"We're here, and that tractor beam's still a problem. If they want to talk, let's find out what they want to say and figure out the rest from there." Wouldn't matter if these people had just lost their damn minds; one way or the other they needed this ship to stop holding them in place. If they were nuts, they weren't going to do that willingly. So, nothing changed; except they might not be nuts and then they could be useful.

She stepped forward and tapped Yuri on the shoulder with the back of her hand, "Don't take off your helmet, whatever happens." Even if these people looked, sounded, and swore to be their best friends the whole thing stank. How good was Yuri's environmental protection? Hazard protection? Well, even if it wasn't a perfect seal the helmet would help prevent certain kinds of exposure. It'd have to do. Of course, it could just be a wild beast on the loose and then a helmet was a given.
