Shipwrecked! (Republic Remnant)

A large contingent of Remnant members had boarded a luxury liner that was touring the surrounding systems. For the most part this was done simply as a means for relaxation and rest while allowing people to mingle. For a few it was about perusing the surrounding systems and testing the waters to see if people were interested in joining the Republic. That wasn't the case for Ever. She was there to relax and because she'd been ordered to do it by General Jaster. The old man had apparently decided she'd spent enough time working. Something about not wanting her to lose her mind.

She was playing Sabaac when it happened. One minute everything was ok, the next they were jerked out of hyperspace when the ship suffered a massive explosion. Ever was thrown across the casino in the explosion. When she managed to right herself, she could hear people crying and screaming. Since she was standing near a viewport, she glanced out and saw a planet, unremarkable in appearance, drawing close to them. Or, rather they were drawing close to it. Too close. They were heading right for it at high velocity.

"Not good!" she exclaimed before looking around. "Everyone brace for impact!"

Ahe ran towards the center of the room and secured herself to a column by wrapping herself about it and hugging onto it for dear life. She might look crazy, but they were about to crash on some unknown planet. If they survived the thing, only the people who could move would be able to do search and rescue. She hoped by holding onto the column that she'd be able to do that. If not she'd probably end up being dead.

"Dada...." Yelled a voice and Kian reached down, plucking Plo from the ground and spinning him around.
The little Kel Dor let out a burst of laughter as Kian spun him around in a circle.
"You'll make him sick." A voice came from behind him and Kian threw a smirk over his shoulder at Aria.
A part of Kian was well aware that none of this was real....a part of him knew this was a dream.
"He'll be fine," Kian said sitting his son down and turning toward his wife.....but she was gone.
Turning back in alarm, Kian saw that Plo too had vanished....
Kian jerked awake, the blaring of an alarm drawing him out of his dream. He'd fallen asleep in his quarters, succumbing to the busy and exhausting day he'd had previously. Kian shook his head, trying to clear the dream from his consciousness and focus his attention on his surroundings and the alarms blaring. Kian had been thinking of his family more lately.....ever since he was marooned several years back. He'd almost died out there, lost to the galaxy and it had been the memory of his family that had kept him going....his family that had been gone a very long time.

Kian darted to the door. He'd slept in his usual robes, his lightsaber dangling from his belt. Kian rarely left it off his person anymore, his duties as a Shadow instilling in him a bit of paranoia that was perhaps unbecoming a Jedi Master.

"What is happening?" Kian asked a young human who was rushing past. He recognized the young man....a soldier perhaps?

"We're going down!" Was all the man said before rushing off once more. Kian began to rush forward, following closely on the young man's heels. He was not much of a pilot, but perhaps he could help where he was needed. Kian started to stretch out with the force as he rushed forward, trying to feel for familiar presences among those assembled. It was difficult to do, the panic and chaos of the minds and force signatures around him making it virtually impossible to make much sense of it.

Kian had just identified a familiar presence when he heard a proximity alarm chime in and he felt the familiar tingling of danger.....
"BRACE YOURSELVES!" Kian yelled to those around him in the hallway. Kian had nothing to grab hold of....no room to leap into as the doors around him were closed. Throwing his arms up, Kian thrust outward with the force, trying to create a barrier in the cramped hallway, hoping to protect those around him and pressed backward, jamming his body as best he could into the small divot of a nearby doorway.

This was going to be bad.

On the muddy planet of Lirra Troopers of the Republic Army trained in Fort Bantha Springs, one of the many boot camps for the Republic Army. Cadets and Traines marched and performed exercises in the loose mud of the planets wet environment. Drill instructor pushed the cadets through the obstacle courses and marches. Soldiers of all race and gender covered the muddy terrain as they prepared to be some of the toughest ground pounders this galaxy had to offer. This was a humanoid camp, created to push the species branch to a level they can be forged through fire. Jaster personally made the camps segregated by species branch as training was build specifically to push an individual. Camp Bantha Springs was one of the last stops on General Jasters tour of Military Instilations within Republic Territory.

The Tall Mandalorian in full grey armor with a dark red sash that represented his Clan. He stood at the top of the walled cat-walk the surrounded the base. Giving him the tour was Clansmen Dar'ka, a worrier from his Clan that was assisting with the training of the army. He looked down as the troopers he gifted the Republic were coming to fruition. He was proud of this military force that he had build, and let the officers of the military as well as the Rangers join the Republic Higharchy and Jedi Order on the "Cruise among the Stars" as Jaster stated it. His tour was coming to an end and he would return to the Republic Senate to sit and listen to the windbags talk about the military moving on to a peacekeeping mission of what the Senators called the Criminal Worlds. It was definitely something Jaster was looking forward to.

Iona hated this. Who, in their right mind, wanted to be on a ship packed with other people playing games while the great black void waited just outside the thin metal walls to devour them all. Who would think this was 'fun'?! Or 'relaxing'?! She didn't want to come, she had been, quite literally, dragged on the ship. It was 'for her own good' they had told her, being on a luxury cruiser surrounded by friends would help her overcome her fear. They were wrong. Instead of playing card games, watching vids or other such nonsense, she was laying in her room, huddled over herself, trying to stop the world from swaying around her.

A suddenly lurch of the ship made her already pale face do the impossible, grow even paler. They were going to crash, she knew it. Sure, she had the same thought whenever she stepped onto a ship, but this time she knew it. This was the time. They were going to crash and she was going to die on this blasted piece of junk she never wanted to be on in the first place! It buckled again and Iona looked out the window, he azure eyes widening as she noticed the planet coming up far too fast for comfort.

'Oh, by the force, we really are going to crash!' Iona was stuck between absolute terror and the small hint of satisfaction that she had been right, but then, even a broken clock was right twice in a day. She looked around for something to grab onto, something to stop herself as she did not think she could make it anyone else before they impacted with the floating ball of dirt. Lacking any other options, at least, that her terrified mind could think of, she latched onto the post of her bed that was bolted into the floor and hoped for the best all while repeating a simple mantra to herself, 'I'm going to die. I'm going to die. I'm going to die.'

The room was littered with books and datapads as the Jedi spent most of the time on this cruise reading, Belizarius was sleeping on a chair with his arm hanging off the side with a book down on the floor under it. He had spent most of his time in the enclave reading and the only reason he was on this cruise was that a ship filled with important republic officials needed guarding. In his dream he was in a dark void and hearing something in the distance.... it sounded like painful sobbing....

BANG! the explosion which rushed through the ship completely surprised him. He didn't have that much time to think as he quickly went to his wardrobe and emptied it all out, he then climbed in and used the force to close it. He then say meditating trying desperately to create a field around himself. The amount of kinetic energy that was about to be released would probably tear this wardrobe apart but hopefully it would stop him rattling around so much that he can survive somewhat uninjured.

"I hate flying"

Zek was lying sprawled across the bed in his quarters, clothed only from the waste down. His eyes, glazed over, stared upwards at the ceiling. It was a spice high, and it was the only thing keeping him mellowed out. All the people on the ship were driving him crazy. The desire to kill the weak was overwhelming. It was a battle he'd faced time and time again. He knew his calling was not to be a murderer or a slayer of countless peoples. He was not like the rest of his kind. He was a descendant of a great Jedi Master from a long line of Jedi Master's since. While he couldn't bring himself into their line of thinking, their ability to be pacifistic in nature, he recognized the futility of their struggle with hostility. Spice was one of the few things that took the edge off.

When the warning klaxons sounded, he groaned and covered his ears. Loud noises threatened to pull him back from his buzzed state of awareness. Somewhere on the ship he knew the other members of Spectre were hanging out, doing their thing. He longed to go and spend time with them, but he couldn't when he was as high as he was, and he knew that. The warning klaxon was only making things worse as he quickly developed a headache to go along with the high.

"Someone shut that karking thing off!" he yelled at no one, seeing as he was alone.

Rolling forward, he sat up and nearly fell back over as a wave of dizziness and nausea hit him. He probably shouldn't have hit the booze while hitting the spice as well. Bad combination. The ship lurched and he heard a screaming akin to tearing metal, which caused him to reach for the nearest bulkhead and grab on tight. The roar of burning fire came seconds later, but it passed and he knew what was happening: they'd just entered atmosphere in an uncontrolled freefall. He'd experienced that several times. Training for it was necessary for Spectre Squadron. What it meant was that they were about to crash. He did everything he possibly could to loosen his muscle and not tense up, as that would allow his body to absorb shock better.

When the hit came, he bounced around the room. When it stopped, so did he. A few bumps and a couple of cuts, but his muscles were in good working order and he didn't have broken bones. It paid to have their level of training. Grabbing his belt, he strapped it on his waist, saber and pistol included, before walking out into the hall with no tunic on. It was a downright mess, and it took a bit for his mind to focus on the bloody smears of organ from across the hall, where the wall was entirely missing.

"Ruined my appetite."

He needed to find the others.

Kian turned and stretched out his hand to give aid to the young girl trying to step through the open tear in the side of the ship and into the bright sunlight outside. Doing so, Kian suddenly saw stars and a jolt of pain go through his left arm. Shaking his head to push the sudden nausea and dizziness away, Kian drew the force in to try and steady himself. Kian was not a healer, and his mediocre healing abilities were being used now to speed up the healing process and dull the pain, but aside from that he could really do no more. Kian had been able to spare the people in his vicinity from serious injury due to his force barrier, but in doing so he had been thrown against the bulkhead hard. Kian's broken arm now stretched across his chest, held there by a piece of cloth that a field medic had helped him fasten.

"Just keep the line moving." Kian said turning and helping the next person, an older Rodian, through the opening. "There will be Republic soldiers outside to help you find your way." Kian said. He hadn't left the vessel yet and was not certain that this was true, but Kian knew that in circumstances like this the soldiers on board would set up some type of camp around the vessel to see to the injured.

Kian knew that there were other Jedi on the vessel and stretching into the force, Kian attempted to locate them. Sensing the familiar presence of [member="Belizarius Krusi"], Kian sent out through the force, his telepathic abilities and force abilities mingling together to send the message. Jedi Krusi, are you alright?

I am on the starboard side of the ship....there are injured here but only a few fatalities. Kian broke the connection and stretched out further, he felt the presence of [member="Iona Immarya"], a padawan that Kian had only met briefly. Padawan Immarya, this is Kian Karr, are you alright? We should regroup on the starboard side of the ship....we have many who need our help.

As Kian communicated with the two Jedi he recognized, there were a number of force signatures that he was unfamiliar with and Kian wondered who they were. But his curiosity could wait.....there were other more pressing concerns.

When it was all over it was a convenient time to realize that the wardrobe... didn't open from the inside. The controls for it were destroyed and Belizarius was collecting force energy in an attempt to find a way out of this situation. After about 10 minutes passed the wardrobe exploded as waves of force energy were sent in all directions. The Jedi was quick to take into the state of his quarters, where most of his books laid in ruin but at least not all of them. He was amazed to find that other than some bruises and shallow cuts he was mostly alright thanks to his last minute thinking.

He quickly went to find out which books were fine, only two managed to make it out of the 10 that he originally brought with him. This was not exactly what he had in mind when he originally came on this trip and thought it could be used mostly to relax and maybe get to know some more people in the Republic. His thoughts next went to finding other survivors when he heard [member="Kian Karr"] talking to him telepathically... a skill that he always found really annoying.

I'm fine Master Karr, I managed to seal myself in an enclosed space before we crashed. Do we know yet who made it?
