OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Shekti
  • Designation: Non-Sentient
  • Origins: Vash Walkers creation (Originally grown on Serias)
  • Average Lifespan: 30 standard years
  • Estimated Population: Inter-Planetary (Usually only in population colonies)
  • Description: These hideous creatures are abominations in both appearance and design. Their skin is wrinkled and often covered in filth, leaving a portion of them covered in bristle hair and feathers. Many of them feature spurs all over their bodies, but most prominently the top of the head, arms, legs, and occasionally tails. Their beaks are big, and beneath the strong jaws lie even more tiny serrated teeth. Meanwhile they have predatory claws as hands and feet, and are only semi-bipedal. Walking usually hunched over and occasionally using their hands to guide their movement by limbs, floor, walls, or victims.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type 1
  • Average Height of Adults: 1-1.7 meters
  • Average Length of Adults: (Tip to tail) 1.6-2.4
  • Skin color: Dull or dark Reds
  • Hair color: Usually dull browns or greys (same for feathers)
  • Distinctions: Shakti look like someone bred several creatures that shouldn’t be bread together. They are winged and have beaks and clawed hands much like birds. However their wings are on their back instead of replacing the arms, causing them to fly by their spine, hunched over even when landed. They have shown wrinkled skin and appear ugly and vicious.
  • Races: No notable differences in races.
  • Force Sensitivity: Non Sensitive
Strengths:
  • The Shekti are noted for absurd speed for their size, having the reflex and attack speeds that rival most combatively trained force sensitives. Even on the ground they use their wings to create even more bursts of speed for their already impressive fast limbs, letting them move several meters in any direction at a moments notice.
  • The Shekti’s claws are large and incredible strong. Only the hind feet and spurs are actually meant for cutting or slicing, rather, they simply try and break and rend a target, pulling off armor, flesh, or entire limbs. Due to the smaller size of the tips of the claws, they can get underneath most armor and pull it off rather than trying to break through it directly.
  • Their numerous spurs help with preventing a blade or weapon from moving across their body. Almost cushioning blows, including concussive, as the spurs break instead of them (to an extent). They also help prevent an opponent trying to grab hold of them.
  • Their jaws are built much like their claws, meant to grab down and crush the bones and armor underneath while the smaller sharper teeth try and help hold it in place.
  • Their wings are not meant for long term flight, but can still provide flight for around a mile before exhaustion. Instead they provide considerable movement on the ground creating leaps and irregular movement patterns.
  • Their eyesight is particularly keen and fast, able to see very small things from very far away.
  • Are often very intimidating, and when they do make noises they are often chirping noises that sometimes escalate to a shriek instead.
  • Shakti breed and reach adulthood very fast, resulting in their populations flourishing easily as long as they have food to get. Shakti pretty much ignore any of their kind except for breeding or knowing where to go, and as a result infighting is extremely rare.
  • Shakti can be easily trained to attack. Within merely a few years a Shekti can also come to be loyal to a specific person or scenario. This is especially useful to someone like Vash, who found that he can create loyalty to specific commands he can give to them telepathically.
  • Will, and often can, eat just about anything. Their body recognizes consumed contents very fast, and then assigns those contents to where it belongs. Their digestive system could almost be more intelligent than they are. This includes poisons, toxins, and things it can’t digest. Which will either be expelled or pushed out the ends of the claws, or back up the mouth making them even more dangerous to be around.
Weaknesses:
  • Have pretty much no defense to lightsabers aside from dodge.
  • Their hearing is awful, and they rely more on their eyesight and the sounds of other Shekti to navigate.
  • In spite of having what are nearly thumbs, they lack the intelligence to actually know how to use a weapon, and would have to retrieve orders for every little detail. Reducing their weaponry value to “Lift and drop” for something like grenades.
  • Most could be killed with a good hunting blaster rifle. A blaster pistol might take two hits to the head, or a few to the chest. Shakti mainly rely on their numbers, speed, and raw attacks to succeed.
  • Shekti are not even remotely strong against the force use on the mind. An average knight could easily mind trick one into confusion. And illusions would easily work on them.
  • Due to their high breeding rates the Shekti can quickly run out of food.
  • Shekti can easily get diseased skin hiding under the folds in their flesh. This often results in an even younger death.
  • Shekti are not especially bright. While they can be trained to follow specific commands like “go this way”, “attack this”, “don’t attack this” and “hold” or “drop this” that nearly covers all of what they can learn.
  • Shekti’s backs are often in awful condition. Many are in pain nearly half their lives due to this.
  • Shekti cannot survive long term in cold environments, they would likely freeze in minutes on planets like hoth, or extreme winters lacking the cleverness on how to build good shelter for themselves.

CULTURE
  • Diet: Will and can eat nearly anything. They can only truly get sustenance from organic materials, but their digestive tract is extremely good at coordinating things that it shouldn’t be able to.
  • Communication: They have very little communication. Using chirps/shrieks mainly just to get very basic goals such as “eat/kill that”, “this way” or “run”
  • Technology level: No understanding of technology
  • Religion/Beliefs: None.
  • General behavior: The Shekti really only learn three things: Breed, hunt, and to obey (simply) specific orders from people who learn to train them. They almost entirely ignore each other for anything but breeding or knowing where to go or what to attack. They have no social hierarchy amongst themselves and react almost on instinct to what each other does.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Shekti were an experimental creation of Vash Walker. Most of them reside on a forest on Serias. Which Vash periodically checks to see if they’re overgrowing, or to take some away to train for combative purposes. If they overgrow, he comes in, trains some, and then uses those some to kill others, something the Shekti would never do on their own. Really, Vash considers the Shekti only a partially successful experiment. Their disease rate, stupidity, and strangely enough, breeding rate, all mean that as a species they’d kill themselves off simply by inhabiting a location too long having few natural predators of their own. They’d essentially kill off everything that they could eat, and then starve to death, since they don’t inherently attack each other. Additionally their utter stupidity means that he cannot actually use them for almost anything but attacking, and once he’s done that, they’re useless again and should be wiped out. But to do that, usually means he has to make them kill each other. What’s more the Shekti are so stupid that they’re too easily manipulated by other people, which to Vash, means they could be turned on him during battle (or at least made useless) merely by another force sensitive. Regardless, he keeps them around so that when he needs fodder for an easy objective, he can have it.

Howdy,

Overall this is pretty great, but, there's just one thing to take a peek at.

Estimated Population: You have it written above that they are not exclusive to this planet, but, that it's a planetary species? I think you might mean Scattered or Inter-Planetary.

Estimated Population: Planetary (The species can be moved and seperated, and as a result are not exclusive to that planet)

Estimated Population: [ Unique (Only One Member), Semi-Unique (An extremely small number, first or last of their kind), Rare (A few groups, often limited to a single world), Planetary (A Large Concentration on a single world or system, rarely found off-world), Scattered (Smaller groups or individuals found in many places around the galaxy), Inter-Planetary (Multiple larger populations found within numerous star systems), Common (Can be found in most any space-worthy colony around the galaxy)- Optional: include a population number. ]

Take a look at the above and tag me when you're ready for me to review it again. Thank you!
